Tell me about Contempo Cafe, Gasparilla Grill, and Captain Cook's

We are doing the CS plan and looking for some better CS choices. I thought with the mono rail these might be another choice besides what MK has to offer. We have never been to any of these so any thoughts would be appreciated. I also liked the menu at The Pepper Tree but that presents more of an issue with the need for bussing.

We like the Contempo Cafe. We enjoy the flatbreads, but the sandwiches are pretty good too. You can eat there or take out ( we brought ours back to our room when were staying at BLT). The whole area tends to get especially noisy when Chef Mickey's is serving or when people are waiting in line. But it is a pretty busy area anyway.

I have not been to Captain Cook's in a while, so it has probably changed a bit. We used to stop there for a quick breakfast; I remember tables were at a premium. Good French toast and I enjoyed their wraps for lunch. Service was quick, even though it was always busy in the mornings.

We've tried them all. They all have good food. Check out their menus online and see what sounds good. Our favs are Gasparillas and Capt Cooks. Gasparillas has great grilled chicken sandwiches and the grown up grilled cheese at CC's is to die for.

I've eaten at Gasparilla Grill. It was pretty good. Has the flatbread and their homemade chips, which I liked.

Thanks for posting this question. For some reason I've never even looked at the menu for Gasparilla Grill - now I have and we have a new CS to try for this trip!

I didn't like the Capt Cooks Grilled Cheese - I think it was the bread. We do love their Tonga Toast. We tried Contempo Cafe last trip - Dh and DD really liked the Mahi Mahi sandwich. I wasn't feeling well for that meal and just had part of a burger. Cupcakes were hit / miss for a dessert. I seem to recall we really liked one of them but not the other one.

What I want to know is - with the touch-screen ordering places like Comtempo Cafe or Captain Cook's, what do you do if you need an alteration on something? Like, say, if I wanted the mustard left off my sandwich or something. Are you just stuck with it?
