Tell me about CBR...

We stayed there on our very first trip to WDW in 2002 and we loved it! We had a room in Jamaica and it was very close to the bus pickup also a nice but not too long walk to the mainpool and food court. We were also very close to the quiet pool and we swam there a few times by ourselves - everyone must have been up to the main pool. We really loved it and we would not hesitate to go back. We are scheduled to stay at the POP in May but if codes come out I will try to upgrade and would love to get CBR again.

You will love CBR. You might want to check out the CBR links below. It is beautiful.

One thing I have learned over the last couple of years is to form your own opinion of things in Disney. I had read several negative things about CBR and it was one of our favorites. We stayed a good distance from the main food area but we always have our cars so it never really is an issue for us to get from one place to another. We asked for a corner upper floor room-- you get an extra window when you get a corner room-- and we asked for a quiet spot and that is just what we got. The beaches are a nice touch as well. ENJOY! :wave2: princess: :lovestruc

Sorry, my least favorite resort. I even like the values over CBR.

What made CBR your "least favorite" resort ?? We are planning to stay there for our firt time this June and I am genuinely interested in what specifically you didn't like. Thank you !

We have stayed here four times and loved it. Beware the birds outside at food court though, they can get bad! Other than that the resort is beautiful, nicely themed and the scenery is great.

There are so many great things about the CBR! However, we spend so much time at whatever resort we stay at and for us, the main pool area at the CBR is the biggest disappointment. Especially after staying at ones that have great pools. Keep in mind though, we judge this because it is an important feature to us and we like long, relaxing days lounging by the pool. It doesn't seem very disputed on these boards that their pool is small for the amount of guests and when we were there in January, we could barely get a chair. The lounge chairs are lined up like cattle with no umbrella tables. People were tripping all over each other's stuff. For a quick swim here and there, I'm sure the pool would be fine. Just not for us! We didn't like the long walks back from pool (because it was chilly in Jan. though).

I dislike the little check in building. Every door I saw on our last visit looked like it needed painting. Our room smelled like it was an old smoking room. The center "island" kind of takes away some of the view. Just little things, but reasons I would pick other places over.

I just spent a week at CBR in January and it was splendid! I really enjoy the theming of the resort and I'm probably in the minority but I do like that it is spread out (it feels more like a resort for me this way!). I also feel that CBR is centrally located and it is very close to MGM studios (5 min) and Epcot. DTD and MK are close by as well. Also if you are using the Disney transportation it is great becuase you do not share a bus with any other resorts. Jamaica 44 is my favorite building I'm close to transportation and the food court and main pool ara is a 5 minute walk over the lake and through the beautiful island (which I found out this time had picnic tables on it!). Also you can get a good view of Illuminations at EPCOT.

We loved CBR. Stayed there in 2003 right after the renovations were complete. We were lucky enough to stay in Martinique before it became prefered.

The food court is simple, with nothing fancy. Being picky eaters this fit us just fine.

CM's and Mousekeeping were the best we've had at any Disney resort. Had many towel animals every day (this is the only resort we got them at)

The rooms seem to have more dresser space and storage areas then the other mods. The bench has a large drawer and there is a little shelf under the sinks to put things. Suitcases also fit under the beds.

The buses were great and CBR is pretty centrally located. We were a quick ride to both MGM, AK and Epcot, and a little longer to MK and DTD.

The only negitive thing, IMO, is the main pool. It could use an update, a little small, but was never crowded when we went. (This was 7/5-7/15) BTW, the pool bar has great smoothies.
