Please? We are going there for the first time this upcoming trip. Do they have dishes other then Seafood? Is there a salad bar or fruit salad? Any tips you can share? What are your favorite dishes? Thanks for your help!

I assume you mean for dinner. We were there in October and they had steamed crab legs, clams, and mussels. They had clam chowder and another chowder. There was peel n eat shrimp fruit options, pizza, mac n cheese. I really did not care for the meal. I thought the crab legs were watery and the mussels had a bad taste.

I'm sure you will get lots of great reviews, and most others looked really happy, but I probably won't return. We did have seafood at Fulton's earlier in the week, and perhaps I set my expectations too high.

Yes I did mean for dinner and thank you for the review. If they continue in the same vein maybe we will rethink our decision.

If I didn't like seafood, I would probably choose somewhere else. They did have some chicken fingers, carving station, etc.,a nice salad bar and plenty of vegetables, but it is mostly seafood.

We enjoyed it. It was not a 4 star seafood establishment, but the food was good and tasty. They replenished the food often so it was always hot. I enjoyed the crab legs. They are steamed.

My husband liked the mussels. He noted they were cleaned very well (meaning no sand or grit) and seasoned well. I also enjoyed the fried cod and the salad bar.

yes they do have alot more than seafood, ribs, chicken dishes, corn on the cob, salad bar with pasta salads, veggies, cornbreads, carving station, kids station. Their is plenty of other options and the food is good not gourmet.

We didn't really like it either. We waited an hour past our ADR to be seated because they claimed to be "in the middle of a turn over". The entire BC lobby was full of other people waiting too. The service was horrible and the food was just bleh. The crab legs were stringy, there were very few non seafood items, the veggies were way overcooked, the salads were starting to get warm...the only good part was dessert and they have since gotten rid of the lava cakes.

So for us, we will stick with Cape May for breakfast and enjoy seafood buffets when we go to the beach.

we had gone three years ago and thought it was so great we rebooked again for our past vacation. ( just returned lMay 3rd.). Although our service was fine, the food was ok. Very limited choice compared to the last visit. Only one fish choice which I thought was too lemony. My son liked the crab legs but I am more of a lobster gal. Next time we will pass on this. I was bummed.

It is one of our favorite places...click on my Nov 10 or Feb 11 threads for tons of buffet pictures

We have been 3 times and our last visit in 2010 was our best. So good that my wife who doesn't like buffets agreed to book again in 2011.

I could make a meal just on ribs and cornbread and there is plenty to eat even for people who don't like seafood.

However, if no one in your party likes seafood I would give it a pass.

We have been there many many times, but not for dinner in 2 years. There are plenty of non-seafood items to choose from. We have always liked it there. Overall, I think the quality and selections at many WDW restaurants have changed thanks to the dining plans and "free" dining.

Does anyone remember which nights they have different things? I know Saturday night is fried shrimp, but our ADR is on Sunday this summer and I know it isn't the shrimp... right?

I've had great food and service at Cape May. We went 3 times in 2010 and loved it. Dinner has been very good, and breakfast is super fun. Enjoy!

And someone fill me in on the rotating menu items please....:lovestruc

I went there in November and it was delicious! I love seafood, so I mainly stuck with that, but the little bit of non-seafood stuff was yummy too. There is definitely plenty to choose from.
