Tell me about Bongos

We visited the bar during our last visit and are thinking of doing a dinner here. Do they do a show? It seemed the band just came on every so often and did a song and then came back after 10 minutes or so and did another.

NOTE: The food is about average; pricing not far off the going rate for WDW; however,
the service leaves far too much to be desired, bordering on rude. Chose Mexican beer
over mixed drinks, as the drinks are quite disgusting. The outdoor QS serving window is
good. We are fond of going to a noon-matinée at the AMC movies after a sandwich from
the serving window. The eatery is seldom over crowded and easy to get a seat without
an ADR. This tells you something about the quality.

NOTE2: There is usually "Cuban" evening bands and/or other entertainment. The bands do
seem to have VERY frequent breaks, but that could be our perception. However, the bands
are usually pretty good with their Cuban an Salsa music.

This used to be a really good restaurant, but recently the quality of the food and service were poor. I would not suggest eating there.

Bland food, not indicative of well flavored Cuban cuisine. Agree with previous comments that service borders on rude, and hinges on indifferent. Definitely not one of the better options in the area.

Not one of our favorites.
I've tried it 3 times now and haven't found anything I like......won't be going back. Too many other places I enjoy so much more.

It's veryyy veryyyy 'generic' Cuban food and if you've had authentic Cuban cuisine before, you won't be to thrilled by Bongos.

That is good to know. My son in law's mother was from Cuba, and I have eaten his sister's cooking.

If you want a fun place to eat and enjoy entertainment I suggest Raglan Road. they have a huge bar and very good food. Much better choice.

Tried it twice, didn't like the food. It was dry and bland to me. I would go to the bar and listen to the band but not eat.
