Hi all

DH and I are wanting to try these 2 places on our next trip to WDW. Please tell me what you like or dislike about these restaurants. Do they have general breakfast fare or do they each have some items that stand out? I am a huge fruit eater, is there a large selection to choose from?

Many thanks in advance!

We did not like CM's for breakfast. We waited more than 45 min for a table despite ADRs and the place was so crowded. The service was terrible (to get drinks and refills) and there were long lines for food with lots of kids running around and cutting in front of people in the lines. The food was typical breakfast fare. The characters took a long time to get to each table because the place was so packed - we left before meeting all of them. We actually had a much better experience at CM's for dinner and the Cape May breakfast. There was a lot of fruit at the Cape May breakfast buffet on their yogurt/fruit parfait bar. I don't remember such a thing at CM's. Timing may be everything however - I think our ADRs for CMs were at 9am, well after they opened and got filled up but our ADR for Cape May was early - right as it opened so it wasn't busy at all, we were able to meet the characters easily and spend a lot of time with each of them.

We have done both & they both have a large selection, but I would go with Boma. The interior of the AKL is amazing, the food at Boma was wonderful (I think it was better that Chef Mickey's, but that is just my opinion), and it was much more relaxed :flower3:

Boma is wonderful. They have a fruit juice called Frunch. It is a little too sweet for me, but DH loves it. The selection is one of the best on property. There is lots of fruit to choose from.

The Chefs are very nice and personable. I asked for a small omelet and the chef picks up the largest skillet he has and asks if that was the right size. It was a wonderful start for the day.

DH, the plain coffee drinker ordered a Press Pot of coffee. I questioned the waiter about it (how it worked, etc). The waiter took the time to explain it to me to my satisfaction. No rushing, no hurrying there.

I think Boma is a more relaxed atmosphere even when they are packed.

We really enjoyed Chef Mickey. Good service, fresh food, good character interaction. If the food is your main focus, then I'd have to vote for Boma. The food was very good!
