We are staying at POR our last two nights, but it occurred to me when watching the planning DVD that I never even once considered BW. Our last two nights will be a Friday and Saturday, and we don't plan on going to MK those days (boo-hoo!) because the Christmas parade is supposedly shooting on Saturday. Instead those will be MGM and Epcot days. When I finally looked at BW on the planning DVD I realized it would be perfect for transport our last two days. (This is assuming a code comes out before Dec though.)

Would you do POR or BWI? I don't think I've ever even read a trip report about BWI.

I have stayed there twice, both long weekends. We loved it. Great location, and even though we were right on the Boardwalk, above flyingfish once, and above espn club the second time, it was incredibly quiet. Watching the action on the boardwalk is very cool. My one complaint is it is not convenient if you are at the end of one of the wings of the building. There is only one way into the main building. So when we were by espn club, it was a long walk to our room. Minor inconvenience at most, but thought I would mention it.

We loved The BoardWalk! :cheer2: I would definitely recommend it! There is a short, wonderful walk to Epcot and a very relaxing boat ride to MGM. The location couldn't be better! It is also a very festive place. There is always something going on there. Our teen loved it too.

I know many love the pool, but that was the only disappointment for us. It wasn't bad, it was just ok, so if the pool is important to you (which I don't know if it is since you are going in December!) the Yacht/Beach Club are excellent too, and have a better pool.

There is also wonderful dinning at The BoardWalk. You really can't go wrong there! We love it!

i will echo the previous posters.. it is a very nice resort.. i stayed there on my honeymoon!!! in one of the little garden suites.. wonderful..

every time we go, we split our stay between a MK resort and Epcot/MGM resort..

i love the boardwalk.. so much nightlife..

if you have the option between POR and BWI definitely definitely definitely BOARDWALK!!

We stayed at the BWI two weeks ago for the first time. We LOVED it. We had a lovely room with two queens and full balcony overlooking the courtyard. This was a standard view room - very nice. No parking lot views. We have stayed at POR in the past and it is quite nice, but I would choose the BWI if possible. We've also stayed at the Beach Club, so we were familiar with the area. Very nice to be able to walk to EPCOT and MGM (or take the boat).

Anyway, we loved the theming of the Boardwalk and it is our new favorite. If you can swing it, I would certainly choose the BWI.

Boarldwalk was one of my favorite resorts. There's so much to do within walking distance, and it has beautiful theming. My son especially enjoyed the entertainers that are on the boarldwalk in the evening.

We are going to be there the same time--Nov 27th to Dec 4th. We are staying in a deluxe room concierge and going all out this trip. We stayed in Aug of 02 and had the room on the 3rd floor right next to the ESPN Club-yes the walk to the lobby was long but as mentioned before, a minor inconvenience. The resort is awesome. We stayed at the WL last year and I was homesick for the BW and will never stay anywhere else again. Enjoy!!!

You are comparing a moderate w/ a deluxe. The Boardwalk area is wonderful! We have stayed at the BWV's & the BCV's as well as at the Dolphin. If codes don't come out for the BWI look for BC & YC too. Different themes but in the same price range and same location. Considering your itinerary you might want to also look at the Swan/Dolphin for good rates.

Definitely choose the BWI! No comparison, but to be fair, you are comparing apples and oranges, one being a mod and one being a deluxe.

All in all, we love the BWI best out of all the resorts we have tried. We like to split our stays sometimes, just to try out a different resort, but we always tag on a few days at the end for the BWI. That way we know that we are saving the best for last!

I know we love it so because we always say to each other as we enter our room, "ahhh, we are back!" and miss it terribly when we leave.

 BWI
