We have booking at POFQ for November, but with the new AP rates that were just released we have been thinking of maybe upgrading to a Deluxe.

For various reasons, the Boardwalk Inn is the only deluxe that we'd consider changing to. I've never stayed in the Boardwalk area and I think it would be nice, especially with the F&W Festival right next door.

My questions:

1. Does it have a hot tub?
2. How are the rooms? I've read that the views aren't very good
3. Is it noisy?
4. How is the bus transportation to AK and HS?

Anything else I should be aware of?

1. I think so, not sure if there's one on the Inn side, might be with the main pool on the villa side.

2. There are some great views of the lake. Other views are inter courtyards. The rooms facing the front driveway aren't good.

3. Depends on where your room is.

4. Animal Kingdom - not sure, I always drive. DHS & Epcot - no bus, a boat is available or you can walk. MK - bus, usually share with Swan/Dolphin.

Lots of info here:

1. Yes there are hot tubs
2. The rooms are nice, but it really depends on where you are, what room you have. I would recommend requesting a room close to an elevator. I swear to you when you look down the hallway, it looks like they never end, and at then end of the day those hallways will make you hate the resort.
3. I didn't find it noisy, but we were there in an off time.
4. Buses to MK and AK are fine, they share with BC, YC and SD. You can take the boat to HS.

So when you say the buses share with those other resorts, is there a centralized bus stop or does the bus travel to all those other hotels?

If there are multiple stops, does anyone remember the pickup/ dropoff order? One thing we love about POFQ is that you get picked up first in the a.m. and dropped off first when you come back.

Edited to add: I am checking out that other thread- thanks - but there's about a million posts there and it will take me a while to finish....

1) Yes there is a Hot Tub.

2) I thought their rooms are great and if you want a good view then reserve their Water View which will basically give you a view of the Boardwalk.

3) The two previous times I stayed there I happen to get the Boardwalk view and I had no problems with any noise.

4) Going to Hollywood Studios is very easy because they have a walkway which goes there. Now they also have a boat however when taking it after it leaves the Boardwalk it will stop at the Yacht Club/Beach Club and Swan/Dolphin before arriving at Hollywood Studios. When going back it will go in reserve because when it leaves Hollywood Studios it's order of stops is Swan/Dolphin, Yacht Club/Beach Club, Boardwalk and Epcot. So basically I say using the walkway is a lot faster.

As for the Animal Kingdom bus I never took it because I always drove to that park. However usually to the Theme Parks the Boardwalk only shares bus service with the Swan & Dolphin.

OMG that is funny, we were booked for POFQ in late Oct and when the discounts came out yesterday we upgraded to BWI too! The price difference was so little that we just had to do it

We have stayed there before, standard room over the quiet pool and hot tub and a view of the Eiffel Tower (saw the fireworks at night)

The resort was not loud at all, we had a great time. We took the boat to HS, shared a bus with Swan/Dolphin for MK and we drove ourselves to AK

Back in 08 the rooms were great, super clean and very nice.

BWI is wonderful--great location, beautiful rooms, very convenient for F & W. Two hot tubs, one at the clown pool and one by the quiet pool on the Inn side...and that one is great because it is often empty!

Never had a problem with noise. Does share buses to MK and AK with Swan and Dolphin, but that really only adds a few extra minutes to bus time.

Request a standard room with a view of the Eiffel Tower at EPCOT, and you can watch the upper fireworks and lasers from Illuminations every night.
