Tell me about Biergarten please

We love Biergarten. We go there a half dozen times a year. I really love the chicken snitzle (?spelling) with hunter gravy on top. That's my fav! I also like the red cabbage. For dessert, they did away with the way they use to make Bavarian Cheesecake, it use to be fabulous. It had a thin cake covering the cheesecake. Now it's disgusting with peaches in it. The strawberry filled cake rolls are fantastic! The apple strudle is delicious with the vanilla sauce over the top. The pretzel rolls are yummy! I don't care for their selection of salad dressings, but the yogurt one tastes like ranch.

Is it good for meat and potato type people like my DH and DS? I love trying new places but they are so weird and picky about things. They HATED Boma and Marakkesh.

They have awesome roasted chicken with rosemary on top! I also love the sauerbraten(German pot roast) and the potato dumplings. I am definitely a meat and potatoes gal and love their selection. I am not so big on their desserts though!...head over to la pattiserie for some great french pastries.

IMO, "meat & potatoes" types will like Biergarten. They have pork loin, roast chicken, saurbraten, sausages, and different kinds of potato and starch dishes- nothing "weird" or spicy. Good, heavy German food. To me, it's too bland, but we will be there the 1st week of October- it's DD's favorite place. She likes the food, and LOVES the oompah band and the dancing, toasting, etc.

DH and I had lunch there on our last trip. Good food.

I don't eat pork, or any kind of sausages, but I still had plenty of good food with the chicken, the side dishes, salads, and (especially) the spaetzel. This was only the 2nd time in my life that I have ever had German food, and I enjoyed it.

DH's late grandmother was German, and he had a lot of the German foods as a child, so he liked trying them again. I don't know how "authentic" they are, but DH probably doesn't remember a whole lot about what he was served by his grandmother, as she died when he was young. He remembered the names, the images, and some of the tastes, and he was glad to re-experience some of them.

We often have lunch there (cheaper than dinner) and been seated with some really nice people from all over the world. US, GB, Italy, Germany

We LOVE Biergarten!! It's one of our favorites. We've had dinner there twice, the sauerbraten is to die for . . . soooo gooood!!! Desserts, not so hot, but the dinner selections are great. We have four picky girls and they all found something they liked. My two little ones (DD10 and DD8) loved dancing in the "courtyard".

I loved the different salads and the schnitzelwith hunter sauce pretzel bread and my mom really liked the apple strudel..

In my reviews from last week, I reviewed it. We enjoyed it, as I have previously. My new husband is of German descent and we both liked the food. He was finally able to learn why I sometimes say "ticky tocky ticky tocky hoy hoy hoy" and enjoyed the show. We both found plenty to eat.

Is the Schnitzel Veal? (Veal is one of my favorite foods)

I know there is chicken schnitzel, but I can't remember the veal since I don't eat it.

I find myself in the minority here, but I really didn't enjoy the food. DH did, however, and he's usually the picky one. Go figure.
