My DH and I are headed to WDW in March for the Princess 1/2 weekend, and are already planning out our meals. I've always wanted to try Beaches N' Cream, but just never have. How is it? I think I remember reading that it's a small place, so there isn't a ton of seating. We were thinking of trying it for lunch, so when would be a good less-crowded time to go? TIA!

It is a small place and they don't take reservations, but if you go in the afternoon, you should be fine. We went there for a late lunch and we only had to wait about 5 minutes.

It's not on our list of favourites, but we didn't mind it. The food we order (hamburger, onion rings, Old Fashioned Sundae, Brownie a la mode, and Milkshake) were fine, not great. I find the ice cream much better at Ghirardelli's. But it's a fun atmosphere.

However it is very small. The tables were small and very close together. As we were leaving, they were setting up for a large party who order 2 kitchen sinks and they took over most of the place. It was very crowded and people kept bumping into each other.:sad2:

They have good burgers and I think they are a good option for lunch. we ususally hit there right around 11-11:30 or later in the afternoon after the lunch rush and have had minimal waits - maybe 10 minutes??

FYI, if you are on the dining plan it's a pretty inexpensive place to eat and I would only use a TS credit for it if I was definitely going to have some to spare.

We have been there for dinner and it is very crowded and a long wait...we also went for lunch at noon and the place was empty. The burgers and hot dogs are wonderful, the icy cold vanilla cokes are great and the onion rings knocked my socks off but the winner is the No Way Jose sundae....ooey goodness of chocolate and peanut butter!

We just had our first Kitchen Sink there! What a delicious way to share a sundae!

Beached 'n Cream is becoming a "must-do" for our disney trips. We enjoy the food, the atmosphere, and the yummy desserts. The combination of all three makes for a fun and relaxing time.

I've often commented that it's a good thing we don't have an old fashioned burger and ice cream shop like this close to home - we would all be as "big as the side of a barn", to use an old phrase.

I was SO excited to try Beaches & Cream in 2006 for the first time. I don't know how we always missed it and was really looking forward to it after all of the pictures I saw on here. We went at about 10 p.m. for ice cream and the place was PACKED. We had to put our names on a list and waited about 20 minutes. I hadn't realized the place was so teeny, tiny in the inside. The wall is open to the left to the arcade at the Beach Club (although they have a rope up so people can't walk in from there) and it was full of kids/teenagers so that plus the noise from Beaches and Cream made it extremely noisy. The sundaes were good and service was good but it felt dirty in the inside (like eating at an iHop or Waffle House [around where I live anyways]) and kids were running around all of the tables, yelling. We decided next time just to get an ice cream cone from the to-go window and grab one of the many empty tables outside of the fence of Stormalong Bay (which looked very peaceful). I've heard it's much better during lunch time.
