Hi!
We are leaving in 25 days for Disney :cool1: and staying at Bay Lake Towers. I am wondering what is in the suite. There are 8 of us so we have requested a dedicated 2 bedroom. I want to know if there are dishes, bowls, silverware, dish soap...that sort of thing. Also, will Mousekeeping come and clean the rooms every day? I have heard it is different at a DVC resort. WE are not DVC members. This is just a normal reservation. Thanks for all of your help!

Couple of things. There is only one tower, so it is called Bay Lake Tower. There are no suites in BLT, only villas, because it is all DVC. You'll find suites in non-DVC resorts. Housekeeping will come daily for a full cleaning - it's part of your cost to stay there. The kitchen will have plates, glasses, cups, saucers, bowls, flatware, pots, pans, etc. Pretty much all you need to set up the kitchen.

If you did a cash reservation through Disney, you get daily service. If you book through DVC Member Services, you get limited services every four days.

Enjoy your stay.

If you booked on a cash reservation through Disney, you will get daily mousekeeping.

There are dishes, plates, etc. in the villa. You will get one small container of dish soap and dishwasher soap. Since you are a cash guest, I would assume those will also get replaced for you.

Good luck and have fun. We will be there around the same time, in a 2 bedroom as well (we are DVC).

We stayed there last year as well as a cash reservation in a 1 bdrm villa. Loved it.:cloud9: Just to add to Deb & Bills, mouse keeping will also give you one single load tide powder box per day. They do not supply the fabric softener nor the dryer sheets. I brought my own tide as I don't like the powder as well as the softener and fabric sheets. Have fun.:flower3:

My family stayed in a 2 bedroom dedicated villa in February (DVC reservation, so no housekeeping for us).

You're going to love it!

There is a tremendous amout of space, three bathrooms (including a large master bath with jacuzzi tub), full kitchen with all the plates and glasses you'll need, and a washer & dryer! In addition, if you plan to spend a lot of time at the Magic Kingdom you're going to enjoy the short walk to/from the park.

....only one major drawback I can think of.....
If this is your first time staying in a villa at Disney, you're not going to want to go back to a standard hotel room for future trips. :thumbsup2

Have a great trip!

With the exception of the Bay Lake Tower pool you will be needing the Contemporary for everything else since that's where you check-in, find all the stores, restaurants, transportation options, bell services and valet parking.

That was the only drawback to the BLT, having to go over to the contemporary for everything. We stayed in a dedicated 2 bedroom MK view and loved it. It was so great to watch Wishes from our balcony. Being able to walk to the MK was awesome too! You will love it!

We LOVED Bay Lake Tower!!!

A couple of quick tips... bring dishwasher tablets and purex laundry sheets cut in half length wise!! The laundry sheets are great and pack flat in a zip lock bag. Since you will most likely do little vacation loads..half a sheet is perfect, plus it already contains the fabric softener!! It goes with your laundry from the washer to the dryer!

On second thought...I guess with daily mousekeeping they will do the dishes? We are DVC so we always run the dishwasher ourself!

Forget about valet parking. Just park at the BLT lot, right outside the building.

Thanks so much for the great info everyone! We don't have to worry about parking as we will not have a car! Yes, we usually stay at value resorts so this will be very exciting! I don't think any of us can really understand how much space we are going to have!

In that case, you are going to think you died and went to Heaven!!

Have a wonderful trip! This is a great resort. We just had 10 of us in a 3br GV in May. It was great to watch the fireworks from the Top of the World lounge.

DITTO!!!! HEAVEN!:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: We did a 2 BR for just the four of us and OMG!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
For those wondering why the 2BR for 2 adults and 2 little kids...we had points to burn.

Yes there are dishes and towels. Some pots and pans but the kind that eggs stick too:( Some bowls but they don't go overboard with dishes - but there is enough.

There's really enough dishes for a family of 8 and a full kitchen. Buy food from Garden Grocer or something like that and you can have a fair number of meals in your room. Seating may be a bit tight, especially if some of the 8 aren't little ones.

Things of note - you have to walk across the bridge to get to the CR and the monorail - we found it faster to actually just walk to MK.

The movies on the lawn are fun at night and you can use the pool at BLT or at the CR. Almost everything (food, stores etc) are at the CR. There's boat service to the WL and FW (Hoop Dee Do Review). It's a nice boat ride and sometimes my kids take it just for the ride. There's also a playground over at FW if you have little ones.

If you don't have a MK view you can take the monorail to the Poly and watch the fireworks from the beach.

Hope you have fun BLT is our home and it is a great location and place to stay.

The above poster is right...its much faster to walk to the Magic Kingdom. I think it's one of the best perks of BLT/CR. Has anyone told you about the electric water pageant? It's a WDW classic so be sure to check it out!

Would definitely check into ordering from Garden Grocer or We Go Shop, at least for some breakfast items, snacks, and beverages (they will deliver "adult" beverages too;) It is so relaxing not to have to rush out the door first thing in the AM, or go hunt for something late PM. And it is absolutely heaven to have something to unwind with (drink in hand) at the end of the day on the balcony. You haven't told us which view you have, or if you have little ones. The walk to MK can't be beat, and we always get a lake view, requesting facing the CR marina. Once we had an inside room facing the pool, and it was just a little too loud/busy for us. Not inside the room, just out on the balcony. We really like to unwind, plus you can see the Electric Water Parade from your balcony if you are facing the marina.

Oh I have to agree about Garden Grocer. We ordered from them last year and our order was waiting for us when we arrived at the CR. They even called us after we arrived just to make sure that we received everything. Their ordering process is quick and painless. We were thinking of doing a grocery stop before we arrived and decided not to take any more time away from our vacation. This was so worth the money. For us any way. We will be doing this again next year. We loved BLT and can't wait to go back.:cloud9:
