Tell me about any new resort restaurants

We'll taking a quick trip to POFQ in March, but won't be going to any parks as I'm awaiting knee surgery and I'm having trouble getting around. We plan to dine at resort or DTD restaurants.

Does anyone know if any new restaurants have opened at the AKL Villas? I'm also wondering which existing restaurants have undergone renovations or updates. We're just trying to mix things up a little by having some nice meals but at the same time being low key and spending time at the resort, and maybe a water park.

I would go to the restaurants at the boardwalk. Spoodles is great. I'm gonna try Flying Fish for the first time in may. Heard great things. Ohana at the Poly is really good. For breakfast I'd do Chef Mickey's. Portobello at Downtown is good too. Good luck. Oh and Sanna at AKV is set to open in May.

the newest resort restaurant that i can recall is the wave at the contemporary... the restaurants at the swan/dolphin get good reviews (assuming you're not on dining plan)... we really enjoyed WPExpress at DTD, great bang for one's buck!

in the Contemporary is the only new resort restaurant that comes to mind. It's a fusion style restaurant. T-Rex opened in DTD last fall. It's themed differently but very similar to RFC. Restaurants have been changing chefs. The former Jiko chef has moved to CG and Jiko has a new chef. Changes of chefs sometimes result in menu and direction changes.

You'll be getting there a little before two new restaurants are opening, Sanaa in one of the new Animal Kingdom Villas and LaDoble
