Tell Me About AKV One Bedroom Value

I'm just thinking that I might give up my Treehouse Villa 8 day ressie and go for a long extended vacation using a one bedroom villa at AKL (if I can get it at the 7 month mark). I can extend the stay up to 12 days using it. So my question is how small are the values? Will I have a bus running through the room? Are they values simply because the square footage is smaller than a normal room? Has anybody stayed in a value and didn't think there was anything wrong?

We will be 4, 2 adults, one teenager, and one kid.

One thing off the bat is that there is no sleeper chair in value 1 bedrooms. If your teenager and other offspring don't want to sleep together it will be very tight to fit some sort of bed for the one. I don't think there's anything "wrong" with value rooms, they are a bargain, but they do have quirks. For instance, the bathroom is across the hall from the master bedroom, and it is rather a tight fit to shut the bedroom door from within the room, at least that was the case in the one I had, which was a pool view. The jacuzzi is incorporated with the shower, and it has a wide lip, and some, including me had bit of a struggle to get in out of.

Now people have commented on the bus noise when they have had the 2 value rooms that face the parking lot. Someone has to get those villas, and I'm guessing it could very well be someone who has requested a different view.

It's going to be tough getting a value AKV at 7 months out. They go pretty quickly.

We thought the savannah view 1 bedroom at Jambo House was small for 4 people, so I can't imagine how small the value 1 bedroom is. We had 4 Disney adults in our 1 bedroom - me, DH, DS 14 and DS 11. The way the bathroom was designed so that only 1 person can use it at a time was awful for our family. It took us forever to actually leave the villa in the mornings. I much prefer the villas at Kidani.

This does not cover my dates in February. I need two nites after we leave our DVC room. I need Feb 18 and 19 and the rates for room only go up to Feb. 16. Thanks anyway. Maybe something else will come up.
