What is the food like? Which princesses are there, and do they all stop at every table? Would you recommend it?
TIA!

I'm going to be blunt. The food was beyond horrible....we went to Earl of Sandwich later in the evening because no one ate.

However, my dd loved the princesses so it was worth it.

You don't mention what meal--breakfast, lunch or dinner? We understand that breakfast is your typical American food and probably your best choice. My DH and I went last year for lunch (not to see the princesses--we are two adults traveling alone now that kids are in college) because he wanted to try the food. It was just okay. The cold buffet was good, but our main entrees were not that good. I'm glad we tried it, but I would not go back again for the food.

We went for the 8:30 am breakfast with a 3 and 10 year old girl and they had the best time ever. The food was very good and I would do it again!

We went to lunch and the food was fine - not great but not bad. Meeting the princesses without waiting in line is worth it!

At our lunch, Belle was the greeter in the lobby and Ariel (in human form), Aurora, Jasmine and Cinderella were in the dining room.

They all stop at every table. Princesses are not guaranteed and vary from day to day and meal to meal.

From, what I have read, Belle is often the greeter, Ariel is pretty typical at lunch and Cinderella is a substitute and not a regular. Other princesses and friends that show up are: Mulan, Jane, Mary Poppins, Alice, etc.

We would go again! If you are not sure about the food, you might want to do breakfast.

We just had breakfast there last week and it was wonderful! The potato casserole was so yummy. We did many character meals and this was one of our favorites. We saw Belle in her yellow dress (she was greeting and doing the photo package so she didn't come to the tables. We also saw Aurora, Jasmine, Snow White, and Mulan. We also had breakfast at CRT and I thought the interaction was better here. Of course, the whole atmosphere in general was better in the castle, but two chances to spend time with princesses for DD7 was amazing!

we go for dinner and really enjoy it. We sample the buffet and try the dinners. If you want american food though go for breakfast.

The interaction with the princesses rock. It is a family tradition for us now.

My wife, myself and 3 boys (6,4,2) all enjoyed our dinner at Akerhaus. The boys even enjoyed the time with each princess. They didn't want to go, but once we got there they each really enjoyed taking pictures and hugging the princesses. While we were waiting for Cinderella to visit our table my 6yo whispered in my ear, "this is much better than I thought it would be". It brought a big smile on my face and his.

Oh, and the food is very good. The cold buffet is all-you-can-eat, with each person selecting an entree from the menu. I know my wife really enjoyed the salmon and I enjoyed the traditional Norwegian dish (not sure of the name). I would describe it as a Norwegian style meatloaf. Then dessert was a tray of multiple desserts for all to enjoy. The waiter even offered to bring another tray of dessert. Which I wanted, but my stretched out belly said 'No'.

We loved the character interaction but the food was horrible and it was very overpriced::yes::

This is a wonderful Princess experience! They do stop at every table and pose for pics. I have a bunch of pictures of all the little girls (including DD) dressed as princesses that danced around in circles. Of course all of the mom's were lined up taking pics!
As far as the food...yikes.We were there for lunch, which has a limited menu. I ordered some traditional meat thing that started with a K. I wished I ordered something different! Not my favorite...tasted like very blah meatball with no sauce. They do have a very good cheese and meat bar. And dessert was out of sight!

I really enjoyed eating dinner there in jan 08. The food was pretty decent- I had the salmon and DBF had lamb stew. If you want pics, check out my review (linked in sig.). The desserts were REALLY good. DBF loved the expresso cake and I enjoyed the princess cake. We had snow white, ariel, belle (in the beginning), jasmine, and aurora. It was kinda awkward posing with Snow White, as a 23 yo girl. They need to find better poses with adult women. (They all flocked to DBF, however). Our server, Line, however was awesome. She was so cool and nice!

We had lunch in May and thought the food was actually quite good. I had chicken and my wife had a vegetable pasta dish which was her favorite meal of the trip. The dessert was outstanding, and I'm not a dessert person.

There are always 5 princesses/leading ladies (counting the door greeter), but you don't know exactly who you'll get. Aurora, Jasmine, Belle, Snow White, Mulan, Alice (in Wonderland), Ariel, and Cinderella are among the possibilities.

Four princesses/leading ladies visit every table. We thought the character interaction was good but not great. However, the inclusion of the photo package is a great deal, especially if you're on the DDP. Here are a few pictures from our visit:
