So I am thrilled and shocked that there is a member event during our April trip. It looks like it will be at AK.

So we are a party of 7 - 2 adults who are DVC members and then our in-laws and kids.

What time do the sign ups open up? Is it like resort reservations and i should be able to go online at 8am?

It looks like because we have a resort reservation that we will be able to sign up on 2/8 and then it opens up to all members later -- how quickly do these sell out?

Is it best to sign up online or call MS?

What are the wait times like for attractions?

When it is at AK are the pandora rides usually open?

This might be a game changer to our plans -- we actually already planned on going to AK park the day of the event, so it might actually ease up our touring plans if we can get into the event.

Going to throw on another question here rather than start a new thread.

I read that there was a limit of 6 people. Does that only apply if we are offsite? If my husband & I who are both members on the same membership are staying on a DVC reservation and wanted to bring 8 people who were all on our reservation will that be allowed?

Booking began at 9 am eastern for the 2017 Moonlight Magic Events.

IIRC, the 2017 DAK Events didn't fill up until registration opened for off-site guests.

The 2017 Moonlight Magic Events could only be booking online.

Waited about 40 minutes for Flight of Passage during the 2017 DAK Moonlight Magic Event.

There were open for the 2017 DAK Moonlight Magic Event.

I did read through what was online and it appears that if you have a resort reservation - any guest on that reservation could go. So if you had a grandvilla with 12 people my guess is they would all be allowed to go.

This is from the website
-Party size limits apply: For Members with a reservation at a Disney Resort hotel, party size is limited to the Member and up to the number of guests listed on their Disney Resort hotel reservation. For Members without a reservation at a Disney Resort hotel, party size is limited to the Member and up to 5 guests.

We have a trip planned for April too. I can't answer any of your questions because we have never been lucky enough to have a trip overlap with one of these events. We are really looking forward to this. We had actually planned to go to AK that day too. I looked at our plans today make whatever changes were necessary to incorporate this event. Bonus: I didn't' have to change anything :)

I was shocked to see that my husband and I will actually be there for the AK party as well!!! On February 8 (when booking begins) where exactly do we RSVP?

We'll also be there for the April one! First time an event has lined up with one of our trips! We had AK planned for the next day...think I'll be changing that...

Eventually, there should be an event specific details page (just like they had for the 2017 Moonlight Magic Events). Once booking is available, a link should appear on that page. You might also receive an email that morning with a direct booking link.

Looks like our count down has us arriving on the same day!! We are spending our first 3 nights at Poly (arriving 4/14) and then last 4 at AKV. Maybe we will run into you!

It looks like the May event aligns with our trip. We will be going to Epcot that day - I managed to get the DVC Soarin Around the World Tour that morning. The DVC CM was excited as it was the first time she actually was able to book it. :) If we do get the Moonlight Magic, I'm thinking we should do an afternoon break and then go to AK. While it is just my husband and I, I can't walk for as long as I used to.:rolleyes2 We will be staying at Poly. It also means we will need to sleep in the next day. Since that will be our second day at MK, it should be OK. We also have a second day at Epcot on Friday, so we could see Illuminations that day. I will have to rethink by ADR's though. Just when you think you have a plan ...

We happened to be booked at CCV for 11Jan2018 when we heard about the event for that night at MK, so I was up early this morning reloading the member events page watching for a link to appear. 9am EST came and went and no link, but at 9:07am EST I got an invite by email, clicked link and got registered for the 7 of us in the room. It went over to a page at eventswithdisney.com. This will be the first one we've been to so we're pretty fired up. Also our friends and their kids staying with us are arriving that afternoon and have 3 day tix beginning the next day and had planned to just watch the water parade and lounge around, but now we get to bring them with us to MK 6pm-midnight to get their vacation started right away without needing a park ticket...so that's pretty dang cool how that worked out. I told them all they better get a nap on the plane on the way down!
