I'll fill in the list above with dates and such when they become more generally and consistently available (probably around May 15).

We're going to stick with expanded basic cable this summer, so we won't be considering any HBO, SHO or BBCA programs.

Of the new dramas, the only ones that seemed very interesting to us were The Listener and The Philanthropist, though we might check out Dark Blue as well. We'll probably record (at least) the three mini-series... as I noted in another thread, I find it interesting that two of the three are practically the same exact premise, so we'll probably watch one and ditch the other.

Of the returning shows: We never made it all the way through The Cleaner and Raising the Bar last season, so we're dropping them, of course. If you saw the finale of Robin Hood last summer, you know why we're not watching it this summer (even if we had BBCA). Beyond that, we're looking forward to the return of Burn Notice, The Closer, Eureka, Leverage, Mad Men, Psych, and Saving Grace. Combined with Netflix (for last year's HBO and SHO series), we'll have far more than enough to watch.

I am counting the minutes until Leverage comes back!

Leverage was a surprise. It is one of those show for which the episode seem to end way too quickly.

Can't wait for Mad Men!!

One Tree Hill just started back this week.

10 Thing I Hate About You?? Is that based on the movie?

Ooh, I like the sound of those mini-series! I haven't really seen any in years and I miss them.

And don't forget the guilty pleasure of the summer....BIG BROTHER!

Edited for pesonal stupidity (didnt know monk ends this summer, thought it already did)

Is Lipstick Jungle NOT coming back at all? Or is it coming back in the Fall? Does anyone know because I keep hearing different things and I really liked this show!!

Lipstick Jungle was confirmed as canceled on 11/12/08.

I understand that one of the stars had a very difficult time accepting that... :rolleyes1

Do tell! :)

Also, has SciFi officially switched to SyFy now? I think that's so goofy. I'm personally waiting for the promised 9 new episodes of Destination Truth.

By the way, I could not get into Eureka as hard as I tried. I could not keep my mind on it when it was on. I wonder if I should try it again.

Leverage and Burn Notice are so good! I can't wait for them to come back on.

New Mythbusters?

Also seeking Torchwood (only 5 epsiodes right?), Primeval and True Blood dates

I'm looking forward to HBO this summer! Can't wait to see Curb your Enthusiasm, Entourage and True Blood (I need my Sookie fix!) Plus this is the LAST season of Monk, I'm so sad to see him go! Thank goodness for tv shows on DVD!!!

I'm sorry, still think Tyler Perry should stick to movies. His TV shows SUCK! TBS actually claims House of Pain is TV's best sitcom of all time!:rolleyes1

Thanks for the info and the link. That's too bad, I really liked that show.

SYTYCD coming back?

Yes! "Honoring network tradition, reality mainstay So You Think You Can Dance will kick off the summer programming on the heels of American Idol's May 21 finale. As previously announced, Dance will get the rhythm going with two nights of two-hour premieres starting Thursday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 27. Once those first audition weeks are done, the series settles into its weekly schedule with shows airing Wednesdays at 8 and Thursdays at 9."
