*** Television, Fall 2009 ***

One show from this season missing for me on there, and perhaps the only one, is Privileged. Is it cancelled? It wouldn't surprise me, but I was hoping it would last. I like it and 90210 for a change of pace from all the crime/drama and game/reality shows we watch.

Wait, is Privileged on now?? I just went to the CW site and it played a commercial saying it airs on Friday :confused3.

I watch absolutely nothing on NBC.

The 18th and final episode of Privilege aired on February 24. They are showing the series again, starting from the beginning this past Friday night, but that will be it. It was not renewed.

Looking at things the only time slot mess looks to be Monday till either DWTS or Heroes wraps up.

There was some rumblings that TBS was interested in picking up My Name is Earl, canceled by NBC, but it didn't work out: There just wasn't enough money to be made.

Several networks have already announced their fall premiere schedules. I have updated the first post in this thread with the announced dates, shown in square brackets [].

Fox will again have their October schedule seriously disrupted by baseball, with Bones and Fringe most significantly affected, both being pre-empted for three weeks in a row, October 22 and 29, and November 5.

Premiere dates for CW programs have been added to the first post in this thread.

We're still waiting for dates for NBC (except for Leno) and CBS.

CBS has released the premiere dates for the fall. I've posted them in the first message in this thread.

The final few season premiere dates for NBC programs were announced, and are now reflected in the first post in this thread.

We're still waiting for ABC to fill in the gaps: Brothers & Sisters, Private Practice and Eastwick.

Now the cable networks are beginning to announce their Fall schedules.

FX will present Sons of Anarchy, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, nip/tuck, and a new original comedy series.

Comedy Central will present South Park, and a new show, Secret Girlfriend.

Showtime has announced that Dexter and Californication will return.

Starz has announced a second seaons of Crash.

No. This is, explicitly, the second-to-last season.

I cannot wait for Lost to come back on, so The Amazing Race and Desperate Housewives will have to hold me over.

One thing I don't like about watching Showtime series on DVD is that they are closed captioned instead of subtitled, so we cannot use our HDMI or component video connections. :(

Did I read that right? That it going to be presented on DirecTV's own television channel, before that...

It was this year. The full season played on DirectTv in the fall, then starting in January it aired on NBC.

I watch way too many shows on Thursday night already now they changed Fringe to Thursday?!?!? I watch all of them on CBS, Fox and ABC and also Supernatural on CW :happytv: That leaves me with nothing at all on Tuesday :sad2:

I'm guessing Without A Trace was cancelled on CBS? So was Eleventh Hour! I liked that show! I guess I was the only one!

The only show I watch on NBC is Friday Night Lights. I lost interest in Heroes this season but may catch up with it over the summer online.

Thursday night is the best time to market to folks going shopping for a big ticket item over the weekend, or planning on seeing a movie over the weekend.

Lost has been extended to 18 hours for its final season, starting in January.

Eureka fans (not that there are a ton of us) waited I don't even know how long (two years? three?) for a new show.

Finally the new season comes on...well, the rest of the season they had prior to the writer's strike...season 3.5, they're calling it.

After all that time, I was expecting a fantastic show. They certainly had enough time to work on it.

But, noooo. Average.

Grrrr.
