Teleporter Scam - again!

A way to mark teleporters would be way awesome. Then we would be able to know which teleporters to put in our rooms. We should have a DIS test all your teleporters day. That way we all know where our teleporters go.

On topic: So sorry about your scammy trade. I lost my GOLD dress due to this girl who said she had stuff in her room, and she did. She went to her room, so I searched her name. When I stepped in, she said to me "srry i traded the stuff to a girl for her gold dress b4 and now i just tricked u out of ur dress haha" I felt like crying. That was when dresses were rare. She booted me and kicked me off her list. Now I have a dress again but I traded when they were rare.

I always think people are nice. So if someone says can i try this on i say sure and then say but u have to promise to give it back. They do promise. Then they take my off my friend list and leave the room. I always report them and all the say is u should have report early or go find a CL. I have lost 2 micky ears, crown,pink dress,cowboyhat, and cowboy shoes. i found out the hard way that some people are not very nice

I'm sure you have learned by now....but never ever ever let someone try something on! Someone I knew fairly well from DIS wanted to try on my inferno to take a pic of him doing it, and I was even wary about that. I asked to hold onto his teleportation. Of course, he was honest and gave it back, and I felt bad for not trusting him. But you NEVER KNOW. Not mentioning names, but I was scammed by a DIS member I thought was my "friend", and they deleted me and I have not seen them on DIS since. It's sad that someone would forsake the DIS and burn bridges just to get a set of Mickey Ears.

People asking to try on stuff is the oldest trick in the book. I would just say, "look at my Mickey ears and imagine yourself wearing them" or "I will make myself look like you so you can see what you would look like with them". That will usually make them leave you alone.

P.S. But seriously, folks, we do need to arrange a "teleporter day" or one room of mismatched teleports. I have so many extra skull rock rooms, I would be very willing to have them in my room. Probably best to do that after I can play VMK without it taking 5 minutes to go to a different room though (i.e., when I get my windows installation CD). I could take everyone's teleports and put them in there. I can place a photo on the wall that says "if you teleported to this room, then you must have a mismatched teleporter and the match is here". I don't know a good way to determine who gets the set if a match is found, maybe some suggestions on that? Or if someone already has a teleporter room, maybe we can all put ours there. It will be so much easier to have only one room, and expand only it if gets full. No matter who actually gets the sets, at least they will have a home. We may even be able to find scammers that way, or if people really did not mean to trade you mismatching teleporters, they will arrive in the room and can let me or whoever know what happened. This is something we REALLY need to organize, kids!

Thanks I like to be silly. I posted the rest of the pics from that silliness episode on the "pictures of real VMKers" thread. I wear those ears almost everytime I go to WDW, except for the last time b/c I could not find them until after I came back

I havent been teleporter scammed before, but a friend of mine did. And they were actually trying to get a teleporter set for me!

You could of always sold the teleporters and take the spare change!

I am lucky that I've never been scammed, teleporters or otherwise.

I've seen people announce that they are trading teleporters, and I couldn't
help myself. I told people, "Beware of teleporter trades. Some don't match!"
I'll bet most didn't listen to my warning and got scammed.

I get really wary when that's what people are offering for trade, because
they probably got cheated somewhere along the way, too.

I always wonder how unlinked teleporter trades get started. Sometimes I
think some kids have others who give them the matching to link to a room,
and if multiple people do that, the player will unload them to unsuspecting
people for a trade.

I think it's really sad that people are so awful when dealing in pixels!
I'd shudder to think if they'd do this to people in real life.

Hey girls and guys come to my "dis teleporter grave yard" and drop off your teleporter.

I have found a match for mine but no way to contact the owner of other teleporter! good idea about picture on wall will try that and see if it helps.
You can pm me if you have a mismatched teleporter and hopefully we can hook up for the drop off.
