Telephone marathon's?

What is up with Disney doing these mass discount releases on the same day / time? They just released the florida rates, annual passholder rates, & general discount rates all on the same exact second. They did the same thing in October / november for the fall / winter discounts and it was also a zoo that day. There phones must of been wild and I know in the fall I lost my call a few times and had to start over being on hold and finally got in after about 2 hours, from out of state calling is ridiculous. (luckily have a cell call plan) (only have for my disney calls).

I'm thrilled we are being offered discounts, but I guess I'm a little confused over the strategy of doing it in this manner. I'm actually thinking about being "sick" from work when my "group" comes up next, so I can be home and continue to call till I get through. I don't see why they don't release florida residents 1 day, ap people 1 day, and then 1 day general people. They alot so many "rooms" or reservations to each group anyway (didn't they used to do it this way?) so they should not affect each other anyway?

Oh well, just needed to vent. worried about "my" group the after july4th people. I only got part of my dates in december during the 1st mob scene, ( I had an confused cm with a cold) guess its all part of the fun of planning.
