Teeth Whitening

Does anyone have any experience with the over the counter teeth whitening kits that are on the market today? Have you tried them, do they work?

I've used Simply White. I started to notice a difference after about a week. My SIL uses the White Strips and her teeth are super white!!

I had a $10 off coupon for the Crest Whitestrips so I tried them just for fun. They really worked! My teeth weren't too bad to begin with but the Whitestrips really brightened them up--DH noticed a difference in about 3 days and went out and bought himself a kit!

They did make my teeth sensitive, but that was temporary and went away as soon as I stopped using them.

I think the Rembrandt works the best. You have to "form fit" the trays to your teeth, and then you use the gel with it. This is more expensive, but then again it works very well.

I have used the night paint stuff, you brush your teeth, paint it on at night, and go to sleep. your teeth actually do turn out whiter when you wake up. =) it's kinda gross though the way it sits in your mouth. But I would recommend it, i'm sure most of these products work well, and you might be able to find a cupon for them in the paper, or online.

I have used the Crest White Strips and the Crest Night Effects. The white strips worked great. My teeth got a good bit whiter. My dentist even asked me what I had done and said that it had worked well. The night effects made me gag. I couldn't stand leaving it in all night long. I made it for about the first three nights and then the rest went in the trash.

Yes, they work! I was told by my dentist that he would only be able to whiten my teeth two shades lighter than the Crest Whitestrips! And he told me that I could save hundreds of dollars by going to Walmart!

I did not have any sensitivity at all. Been using them for 2 weeks.

The night stuff that you "paint" on is horrid. It's like a wad of mucus. Yuck!

Give them a try. BTW, Consumer Reports just rated the teeth whitening.

I also used the Crest White strips with very good results. I am on my second go around with them (used the first set about a year ago). This time around I am using the Simply White paint on stuff for where my teeth touch each other with the White Strips over that. I just felt like it wasn't whitening as well around the sides/edges of my teeth, where there is some contour, as the strips just go kind of flat across my teeth. May try the Rembrandt gel stuff next time as that probably covers the entire tooth better. But I would certainly so go for it!! ................P
