My daughters are 13 and 16. If I sign them up to parasail, I have to pay too even though I don't want to correct, even if I don't want to do it. Will they let them go together?

According to Disney's website, you only have to accompany them to Marge's Barges, but you don't have to pay to go with them beyond there if you don't want to.

Not sure about letting them go together, as I've never done it myself. My guess would be it would entirely depend on who else was on the excursion with them, weight limits, ages, etc.

As long as they aren't over the weight limit they will even be encouraged to go together - at least we were! I am not sure if they do it this way all the time but by doing that my husband and I were given more time in the air than we would have if we went separate.

It takes more time to bring someone in and send someone up, with the harness safety checks and all that. So it's definitely better to just send people up as doubles and let them stay up longer.

I don't think they would go unless I would at least ride along too. Guess I will have to decide it if is worth $300. Thanks.

@scootch I believe your question is more asking whether the teens are allowed to do the excursion without you, rather than related to going tandem for their actual parasailing ride. I haven't cruised with a teen (yet) but I did find on DCL's website about the parasailing on CC: "Children aged 13 to 17 participating unaccompanied must be escorted to Marge's Barges by a parent or legal guardian." It's in the Know Before You Go section. That sounds like you should not have to pay for yourself, only the teens, and escort them to Marges Barges for the excursion. It specifically states no ride-alongs. I didn't check any other parasailing excursions at other ports; they may have different rules.

Note there is also a Wild Side Teen Adventure offered, though it does not include parasailing. I'm not sure if a 13-yr-old would be allowed, but the 16-yr-old might be interested.

Enjoy your cruise!

My 16 year old is the one who wants to do it, she has convinced her 13(just two weeks shy of 14) old sister..... but I doubt they would go without me tagging along. I see I have to pay too unfortunately. Might wait and do it at WDW as at the Contemporary, if there is room, I can ride along for free. Thank you.

My opinion on this is the parasailing is amazing. I'm very afraid of heights and had the best experience, it was really cool to be able to experience it with my daughter.
