Teens ordering from kids meal?

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

My wife and I have 2 teens that are very picky about what they eat. We want to try some non-traditional restaurants while we are in Disney. With that said if we get to the restaurant can my teens order off of the kids meal if we have the adult dining plan? The credit would seem to work in their favor for giving a cheaper meal for an adult credit. I'm worried that my kids might just want a burger or chicken tenders.

Thanks

Most restaurants will allow this. And even give them an adult portion of the kids meal.

There are a couple that don't, sorry I don't know which ones. But if you search the threads you may be able to find them.

Have a wonderful trip!

SOmetimes they can but the kids food is generally awful not like real chicken strips but little processed nuggets and the pizza and mac and cheese are both not too good and if they won't upsize it the portions are tiny. If they will eat foods like steak or pasta it's always easy to get them to leave off the offending sauces and they will almost always sub fries for the fancier sides. My teen son ate steak for nearly every meal on our last trip and was happy as a clam ;)

If you want to order kids' meals, you are better off paying for them OOP and using the adult credits for other meals.

The only place I've read on here where someone wasn't allowed to order child's plate with adult credits was Ca Grill. I don't know if that was one time or everyone's experience.
