I have a 14yodd and 12yods....do you think they would enjoy the Family Magic Tour, or is it too babyish?

I'm curious about this too...

We haven't done any tours...waiting until DS8 is older.

I think it might be too babyish for them. I think the age range for it may be 3-10. This is just my opinion though and I'm sure others might disagree. It is a scavenger hunt through magic Kingdom to find Captain Hook's hook.

Too babyish!
We did Family Magic in October with DS9. He was the oldest kid on the tour and he thought it was just "ok". He hasn't mentioned it since.
The younger ones in our tour group really enjoyed it - they were probably 7 & under. I have read posts where the adults in the group participated, but that was not the case in our tour. I think teens would be bored.
We are going to try Mickey's Magical Milestones in August.

They are probably too old for it, although it is for all ages, it's a scavenger hunt with map all around the Magic Kingdom to find Capt. Hooks favorite Hook or the park is doomed if they don't find it by a certain time. I went as an adult, participated in the hopping, skipping, jumping and searching, but most of the adults didn't. Now that you know what goes on....you can determine if your teens would like it. You do find out some interesting facts along the way!

No. This tour is definitely for young children only. We did it back in 1999. Luckily it was free as part of the Disney Club, my son was 14, too young for the other tours & they were really strict about the age limit (everyone else was over 16 but we didn't want to leave him out) everyone in our group participated. What saved it for us was a new cm from DL at wdw to learn how to be a guide for this tour out in California. It wa very interesting to talk to him about the differences between DL & WDW. You get to skip the line at Peter Pan's Flight & ride with Peter Pan & have a meet & great with Peter. That is our favorite Fantasyland ride so that part was fun.

If they don't hate you now, they would hate you when they find out you signed them up for a baby tour. We did it several years ago when our son was about 5 or 6 and we had a good time. If we told him we were doing it again on our next trip (he'll be 13) he'd give me the evil eye and tell me that he was going somewhere else.

My girls LOVED the tour!!! Then again, I have two younger children so we saw it as a great family time. It's possible that they would not have enjoyed it so much if they had not been enjoying it with the younger ones.

They really loved the personal attention we received, first from the Tour Guide and then from Wendy and Peter. They felt *special* and I think that is another big reason they enjoyed it. Also, they are not the kind of girls who worry about being *cool*, IYKWIM!

HTH.

We did it this last july with out then 13 year old dd. She had a blast. Yes, she was the oldest in the group, but all of the adults participated. You have to be willing to be goofy and make a fool, but it is so worth it. If a teen can't act like a kid in disney, where can they? :thumbsup2
