I want to know if anyone has done any of the teen activities on the cruise or if anyone's teens have done them.... I am going in August and would like to know if I should do some stuff or not do some stuff. They all sound great but I don't know.

Thanks

On our first cruise my daughter joined in on the teen activity on castaway cay where they did kayaking, snorkeling, bike riding... etc. Although she enjoyed the activities she felt she didn't have any time to just explore the island on her own. On our second cruise she didn't join the teen activity on castaway and had just as much fun doing her own thing on the island. She was 14 on the first cruise and 15 on the second...

Enjoy your cruise..

Hi there, I was 15 when I did my first cruise in Aug. 2001 and my second cruise is coming up in Aug. 2002!!

There is sooo much to do for teens.. but I found that the Common Grounds were small and cramped - overrated. But go to the 411.. it's great to meet your friends on the first night b/c then you can spend the rest of the cruise with them. Also, there are dances every night till 1 or 2 am -- so get a lot of sleep before the cruise! Often me and my new-found 'cruise' friends got tired off dancing and so we hung out at the movie theatre (amazing -- great movies for free!) or around some of the numerous staircases. During the day there's lots of stuff to do.. make sure you pick up a "teen navigator" from the common grounds.

But don't limit yourself to the teen activities. I know that I did the shuffleboard competition (and won! tee hee), went swimming, hung out with my younger friends who were on the cruise with me (10 and 7) and sunbathed, even participated in the talent show!! Making your own fun is all part of the fun. They also play constant disney movies on the TV in the staterooms... which is fun if you need to relax a little before dancing the night away!

And don't forget to go to all the karaoke nights! SOOO much fun, even if you don't participate. There are some really talented people out there that you get to watch (and some not so talented people!)

Of course, there is the internet cafe too!

If you other questions, don't hestitate to post here or e-mail me.

What about 17 year olds? Is Cmmon Grounds mostly 13 -16 year olds? Would a 17 year feel out of place? How about on the teen beach -are older teens there, too? We're taking my son (17) and at least one friend in November, so we're curious. Thanks for any information!

I noticed on our Wonder cruise (June, 2000) that a lot of guys loved to play basketball, day and night. The court is really great, right on the end of the ship!

There is something neat & new that you may want to check out on Castaway Cay. Groupers Pavillion, which used to be for group gatherings, has been converted into a game area. There are lots of cool things to do, including basketball, pool, ping pong, and foosball, and it's all free.

Front of the ship. BTW the court is on tv 24 hours and it is always a game going on, except when the kids club takes over!!!
