Hi there, I was 15 when I did my first cruise in Aug. 2001 and my second cruise is coming up in Aug. 2002!!
There is sooo much to do for teens.. but I found that the Common Grounds were small and cramped - overrated. But go to the 411.. it's great to meet your friends on the first night b/c then you can spend the rest of the cruise with them. Also, there are dances every night till 1 or 2 am -- so get a lot of sleep before the cruise! Often me and my new-found 'cruise' friends got tired off dancing and so we hung out at the movie theatre (amazing -- great movies for free!) or around some of the numerous staircases. During the day there's lots of stuff to do.. make sure you pick up a "teen navigator" from the common grounds.
But don't limit yourself to the teen activities. I know that I did the shuffleboard competition (and won! tee hee), went swimming, hung out with my younger friends who were on the cruise with me (10 and 7) and sunbathed, even participated in the talent show!! Making your own fun is all part of the fun. They also play constant disney movies on the TV in the staterooms... which is fun if you need to relax a little before dancing the night away!
And don't forget to go to all the karaoke nights! SOOO much fun, even if you don't participate. There are some really talented people out there that you get to watch (and some not so talented people!)
Of course, there is the internet cafe too!
If you other questions, don't hestitate to post here or e-mail me.
