Techy info- only useful to those who use [url] links to previous threads

Thanks to Astrid, I found this mornin that none of the links to me previous drivel work anymore. The problem seems to stem to the recent changes to the board layout- the most recent ,not the crash one.

As a result, the http address of the board has changed from [198.65.131.237] to [www.disboards.com] meanin all previously saved and posted links usin the 198.65.131.237 path won't work.

this is the before and after link, if I'm not makin meself clear here.

before the link code was

url=http://198.65.131.237/showthread.php?s=&threadid=179569

now it's

url=http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=179569

either www.disboards.com or just disboards.com work fine either way.

I hope this clarifies the problem for those who ,like me, are untechy but like to use the shortcuts available.
