Technical question about facebook privacy settings

Before facebook changed their page setup, I had my privacy set so that if I posted something on someone else's wall, it didnt appear in everyone's newsfeed. Now, I cant figure out how to get that part back. If I post on my friend Ambers wall, everyone that has her for a friend and myself as a friend gets what I wrote on their feed. Im not a fan of that. How can I change it? I dont mind if people go to her page and see it, I just dont want it to appear in everyones feed.

Ok - I've been trying to figure this out for you.

When you go to someone's home page and type your comment to be posted on their wall... There is a little icon (looks like a magnifying glass) and the word "Filters" that is under that box you are typing in - on the right hand side. If you click on that - it will expand your options (out to the left of it) as to who that comment will be seen by. Its defaulted to "Amber + Friends"
You will want to click "Just Amber" if you want only her to see that comment and it not be posted to everyone else's home page.

Ok, I dont actually know that it worked. I think it just filtered that persons wall to only the post they have made. I dont think it actually has anything to do with the post I created?

It appears that most people are defaulted to "Name + Friends" so any time you don't want it to be that I would think you need to change it.
(this is coming from a privacy setting - so it depends on how yours are set up)
I can't find anything that could change that to a "Name Only" default...
But I'll keep looking...

I have a question, on someone's wall - when you click to type a comment - the publisher box expands.

Next to the Share button does a little icon that looks like a lock with a down arrow beside it come up??

If so - you can click on that down arrow and select "Customize"
It will bring up a box that will let you specify who that post will be visable to.

lillygator - there is also a checkbox on this screen to make that your default.

I think this is what I was reading about... But one doesn't appear for me everytime. I guess its this computer at work...

I tried this on a friends wall and the only thing that came up under the arrow was bejewled. Not even sure what that is. Must be one of her applications?
