Technical Problems with Point Transfer?

Not sure if this happened to others but, according to a supervisor, there is a technical glitch that happens "a lot" when trying to transfer points from one contract to another.

Basically, I attempted a transfer of points from my contract to a friends' contract. The points completely left our contract but are not officially in the other contract. If my friend called to check on points, the points are not there. But, if I call to check on points, my points aren't there either in our contract.

I was transferred to a supervisor that said it was a technical glitch and happens quite a bit. They are going to work on it and get back to me soon. Has this happened to anyone else? I find it hard to believe if this happens a lot that it couldn't be fixed.

Thanks in advance!

It may take a day or two for a transfer to show up. That's been my experience with transfers.

Although not a transfer, I encountered a technical glitch when I made a reservation on 2/11. It's still not fixed!!! The room is "on hold" for me for one night, the other 2 nights went thru without a hitch. I've spoken to 3 CMs so far and the last one was going to contact "IT". I'm calling again tomorrow!!

I work in High Tech and would love to know what 'Magical System' :wizard: they use to manage all this complicated point, UY and Home Resort stuff! Since we all live and breath by our points, I get nervous when I hear about them disappearing or totaling out incorrectly...:worried:

But, in my case they have disappeared from my own contract. My problems started yesterday (2/21), IT "fixed" it overnight, then it happened again today. There is another IT incident open for me tonight. MS is most definitely having system issues!

Disney's website has some issues for sure. I did an addon with 144 transferred points in it. No where does those transferred points show up on the member website. I see the original and new contracts but no 144 points. MS says they are there but I don't know where. I guess as long as they see them, I am alright.

I am going to take a guess here. Since transferred points retain their original resort and use year, they won't be able to "show up" if you have OKW for example, and transferred in BWV points. They must be in a no show zone where MS can see them, but they won't show up on the member website, for example, since you don't have a BWV contract to show points in.

This morning the website still showed the one day "missing" from my reservation. I called MS and spoke to a very nice supervisor who told me it can take up to 2 weeks for a technical glitch to be fixed. It was 2 weeks today for me. I received a call later this afternoon that it was finally fixed and all looks well on the website. I wonder if it really takes two weeks or does it really take involving a supervisor???

I was told by a Supervisor at MS this afternoon that there is a 3 week backlog of manual point postings. Apparently all of the sales with Developer points are killing them.

In the Fall of 2006 I had points transferred into my BCV 2007 UY from another BCV owner. The points appeared on the member website immediately and I encountered no problem using them.

In the Fall of 2007 I had the exact same number of points transferred from the same owner into my BCV 2008 UY and those points NEVER appeared on the member website. However, I confirmed the transfer via a phone call to MS and when the time came to use the transferred points for 11 month window reservations I had no problems at all. Despite the happy ending, I would have preferred the comfort of actually seeing the points on the website.
