Technical Difficulties this morning?

What an annoying morning. Here I thought by now both DD & I would have completed Fin's quest and then she'd be chatting with her VMK friends. Instead she & I are both frustrated. Between this and the changes to the Yeti game we're not all that thrilled with VMK at the moment.

Guests are up to 6472. Has anyone ever seen the number that high? I sure haven't!

Probably because everyone who "quits" is still showing up in game, plus the other characters they have been trying to sign on with as well.


I am so upset!! On Sunday mornings I wake up EARLY to be able to do this quest, then spend hours trying to log in...do you think it is just that so many people are trying to use it that VMK breaks? I really liked when the weekly quests were Thursday evenings...

Awww...I really wanted the prizes, I wasn't able to do the quest for these prizes at the beginning of the month for this same reason, so I was really excited when I saw the prizes, but I froze most of the way through JC and now can't load any rooms in adventureland. Oh well. It would be nice if they extended after these problems...but maybe they dont' know about the problems? Maybe it only seems to get "fixed" just after the quest ends because that's when people stop trying to get in and so VMK stops having an overload?

This incident occured for me while I was doing the quest playing Jungle Cruise. I had BSOD for about a half hour but just finally got back in.

Now I can't complete the quest because Adventureland is completely off limits. Whenever I click on a room in that area, nothing happens I just stay in the same room I am in. I can move to all the other areas of VMK though....

I finally made it in and WALKED to adventureland. As soon as I hit the "exit" my character just stood on it and everything froze for a moment. After 5 minutes I clicked the music lobby and was transported there. I guess I'll be missing the quest and it's all VMK's fault. I can't even find the "contact us" on the VMK home page to report the technical problem. Nice going VMK.

Still standing here in Emporium and can't move! Been in this spot now for 50 mins! I am on 17 and was on my way to Neds but stuck right here!

And no they were not nice enough to extend the quest last time (which was at the begining of the month) for us! Last time I was on JC when this happened...now almost done with it and we can't finish it! So guess we won't get the cool prizes and then this afternoon they will be giving out the Blue chairs that we all have so many of!

Yes, I notice Coriander has logged off Dis yet she is standing in the town square... not responding. Well, there you go- the number count is very high. I also can move okay except not access Adventureland at all.

I've seen that number that high before. Not often to be sure but I have.

I logged off VMK, did some stuff for a while and logged back on. No BSOD now but it's true, you can't go to Adventureland. I need to go to Ned's to continue my Quest. I can't really walk around. I just stand there and nothing.

Maybe Adventureland has been taken over by some rascally Pirates!!

If they don't know about the problems now, Host Phinney will find out soon. I'm waiting in line to go to her room on my second character, since that character can't get into Ned's shop to finish the quest. I do think part of the problem may be that there are a lot more people playing VMK on the weekends, but there have also been problems during the week when there wouldn't be as many players on VMK. I hope that adventureland can be fixed soon, because after my second character finishes the quest, I was planning on playing some pirates.

Same problem here. I played the quest with my character first then quickly logged out so my dd could play it. It froze right after she finished Jungle Cruise. She's pretty upset because she wanted to win the items. I'm feeling bad for her and wonder if I should give her mine. If they don't extend the time for the quest I think that would be the wrong thing. Why penalize the players because the site's messed up? I would think with they should have been aware that this could happen and plan accordingly or set up extra alternate times if things go wrong. They should have been prepared.

I sent a message to the "black hole" for all the good it will do.

VMK BSODing during a Quest, or Host Event, or anytime that you need to or want to do something it seems is nothing but par for the course at vmk latley. But with how they have now been enforcing the END of all EVENTS is the END i do not think vmk will extend it or give any one any thing for the techincial problems that has happend yet again today.

it occured to me that the only way to extend the quest is to stop it and start it over since it is set up as a timed quest... if that makes sense..

I got into town square no problems but I cant get in to see the pirate!

The "Contact Us" should be at the bottom of the home page in black lettering. Though with what's happening today I wouldn't be surprised if it suddenly disappeared.

Morning Doc! The number is now at an even 7,000!! (Me thinks someone needs to reboot those servers )
