Team To Do List And Disscussion Thread

Well guys since Lily has given her blessing we can continue with getting the teams ready to go.

First step is to replace the old roster threads on the "Welcome to the WISH" section at the top of the Events and Competition. I will along with pretty princess Susie (Escape) make the changes to the master team roster and the individual captains and co captains will keep their team rosters updated.

Now on to the spreadsheet. I vote we chuck it and do this instead. The team captains can just keep a running total that they put on page one of each months team thread. Then if another team wants to know they would just need to check that. If a team member wants to puplish their running total individually they can do it in their signature area and update it as often as they want.

I will need a current roster of each team along with the captain and co captain. Susie and I will add new members to the teams that are lowest in members till all are even.

I have the tripple Ds roster already but not their co captain.

Please comment on what I've suggested and make recommendations.

Can we start with the miles and hours on Feb. 1? I know some people are keeping track, but there are others who have not been and the new people (yay! and Welcome!) wouldn't have known to do this.

I like the idea of keeping totals in the siggies. And having a monthly total at the front of the month. I had trouble going back and forth to the spreadsheet at times.

Thanks so much, Dave and Lily! We're going to keep it fun!

Maybe we can do "page visitations" from team to team once in a while so people mix and mingle a little more.

I like the monthly totals better than the weekley things. Putting them on the first page would definately make it easier for that month.

We are already doing Jan (that was my job) but if you want to start in February that would be fine.

Walt's Warriors are still trying to find people that haven't posted in awhile. Some have recently come back on asking to be back on the team. I PM Carrie, I took over Jan because LTO for her. We all want her back as Captain so as long as she's ok with it. I wil be the Co-Captain as I started that back around October. Will get back to you with a roster when I hear from Carrie or she'll get back to you.

Great ideas, Dave! Mel and I will be co-captaining for Ohana. And Ohana is still putting together its roster--always open to new cousins--and we'll get back to you with the final list ASAP.

Oh, and I think starting Feb. 1 is a good idea for the reasons Betsy's mentioned.

And mixers between the teams--cool! I'll try to come up with some ideas, maybe after downing some liquid inspiration.

Dave - Just sent PM's to figure out who's in and who's out. Hoping everyone comes back, but if not I'm sure we have enough new Wishers that would be able to join in our team as well as others.

Dave, I am sorry for not including this in the PM that I sent you but Ironz is our Co-Captain.

Our Duckies are ready to get out and have a lot of fun. The idea about keeping the totals in the team threads sounds neat. I may keep an Excel Spreadsheet on our team though just because I know some will like to know how they do compared to last year.

I also like the idea of "visitation privlages" with the other teams.I mean I talked to several members of several different teams last year but this may be a better way to get to know them.

I have some ideas for the team mixers, we could have scheduled evening parties one evening a month hosted by a different team each time. Or we could do an Evil Panda game.

Dave, great minds think alike! I know you probably won't believe this, but I was just going to send you a PM suggesting that maybe the team captains could post a monthly total on their team's 1st page and I could then pull that number and plug it into a spreadsheet. However, I just saw this thread and voila! you suggested the same thing. Eeery but kind of cool.

OK, maybe this is too late to offer up, but most of last year, I was thinking about this. WOuld it make sense to count biked miles as half and double swim miles? I know hours balances things out some, but my own effort tells me that's is a more accureate count of effort.

No biggie and it's really more about just beign out there and keeping each other accountable than the compitition. Just wanted to throw that out there, though.

Yes it's a warm homey place from where you can branch out to all the other threads. The teams keep up with miles and hours exercised.
