I finally got around to subbing- no idea what took me so long!! Hope we are doing a Dismeet while I'm there- that would be great! I called the concierge at AKV for our stay and gave her a list of our dining and excursion requests- sunrise safari on 5/17, sunset safari on 5/19 (I think), dinner at the new restaurant at AKV Kidani on 5/16 and dinner at Le Cellier whatever night we have left. It seems so far away, but really it will be here before we know it, right?

Alan so glad you found a fridge swap!I am in one too andwillbe handing off directly to the next person!!

The fridge swap is AWESOME!!! One of our concerns about staying at the POP was not having a fridge. Problem solved!!

Hi Mari!! It's cool that you will be at the POP sat the same time as us. We may have to try and schedule a DIS-meet one day. Ellen (podsnel), Rosie (englishrosee47) and I are going to discuss as the time gets closer. I drop by on the May board every now and then. Will they be starting a new 'Mays of our Lives' thread?

Congrats on getting the Deluxe Dining!! WE LOVED IT! We are starting to get closer on deciding all of our ADRs....now if Disney will just let us make them!

Awes0ome pix Alan! The food looked sooo good !! We finished our leftovers tonite DD made potato cakes with my recipe for the first time and they were GOOD!!A neighbor brought over a huge pumpkin pie today So we are also set with left over pies !!
I love the new thread idea "Mays of our Lifes "" Should start it in January, would be a great way for all Mayers to arrange meets too!!

I saw two different Christmas trees up in your pictures. Somebody's punctual. We got ours up today. We love Christmas.

Hahaha!!! We actually had 2 seperate Thanksgiving meals. The one in the picture was our Thanksgiving lunch with my family. The items on the plate included smoked turkey, ham, potato salad, dressing (not stuffing), homemade mac & cheese, and hash brown casserole (a la Cracker Barrel.) For dinner, our immediate family (the Griswold 4, if you will) had a full turkey that DW brined and baked, along with HER dressing (much better than the lunch dressing,) dinner rolls, and a good glass of wine. Perfect! I doubt we will have this great spread at Christmas...but we'll see!

You got that right!! When I took that picture, DW said, "Alan! Really? You are taking pictures of your Thanksgiving dinner plate?" (She has met me before, right?)

I think that Thanksgiving has become my favorite holiday! It is such a "GUY" holiday (for me, anyway!!) We have food, we don't have to buy anyone gifts, and we watch American NFL football all day long! That being said, I am looking forward to Christmas also!

That turkey was terrific! DW makes a wonderful turkey!

Hi Rosie! I ate leftovers today for lunch. Also, DW put some of the turkey in a crock pot with some Great Northern beans in a chicken broth to make a bean soup. It was excellent! Our entire house has smelled like Thanksgiving for the past three days!

We will definitely get that new May thread going and see if we can get all DIS Mayers on the same page!

hi pmama! I would like to say that we were punctual, but neither of those trees in the photos are at our house. My aunt reserves a room for us each Thanksgiving for family gatherings, and the Christmas trees you see in the pictures are from there instead of our house. Our intentions are to put our tree up by Sunday night at the latest. We love Christmas also!!

Hi Alan !! I hve to make Turkey soup with the leftover leftovers!! While I was at work the restof the family decorated !! DSIL had the outside and it is aglowin' and the girls did inside. The Tree is up and I'm sure DSIL put it together as it is straight and not leaning over !! I love seeing the house decorated for Christmas !! I will have a better look at the inside in the morning !!
