Have you been having a hard time getting going on your journey to fitness? Have you been feeling frustrated?

Well today really is the first day of the rest of your life, the chance to start over and do everything right for a change. I know that sounds silly. But just what if today really were the first day of the rest of your life? What would you do with the second chance, start earning your dreams or just blow it off and keep on doing you were doing.

I have a unique opportunity for a couple of people who are ready to get serious and would like a little help along the way. Over on the Events Section we have teams where we log our miles and hours of evercise but more importantly support and help each other stay motivated. This team competition goes untill Dec 31st. Then the next season will begin on Feb 1st. We take January off since a lot of the teams are at WDW for the half and full marathon.

This is another part of WISH that many of you over on this section may not realize is there. You of course don't have to leave this section, this would be a little extra help that may be just what you need.

I have a couple of slots available on a team that has some excellent help available. The team leaders are very knowledgeable and love helping others, one lady is a long time Team in Training coach and the other is working on her personal training certification.

The help isn't free, it cost determination from you and a desire to accomplish your fitness dreams. But if you are ready to committ and give these ladies a serious effort, I have a place for you.

There is no feeling better than being in the Disney World Half or Full Marathon and knowing you have earned the right to be there. But you don't have to do the races to be on a team, but you just may start thinking the impossible is possible after all.

If you are interested either just respond to this post or PM me and I'll get you started.

Walking Panda.

Because:

a) I have a lot of weight to lose

b) I am trying to train to walk a half marathon at Spacecoast with Joints in Motion on November 30th (a more generous time allowance than Disney)

c) I want to walk the half marathon at Disney in 2010.

I made an ill fated attempt at Disney in 2006, have been interested in "marathoning" since then and my last attempt at a 5k last Sunday was horrible (although I finished).

I just bought a new WW pass on May 22nd and am starting again.

So I need the support, guidance and accountability.

I want this - baaaaaad! I keep the medal from last Sunday's race with me to remind me that I never want to be like that again.

I cannot PM - I don't have enough posts on this board yet and am not sure how many I need.

I will have to email, if that is ok.

Linda, a PM is on the way. I'm placing you on the Super Goofys, if you don't get the PM just go to their thread on the events and competition section and introduce yourself. I told them you are on the way. Having fun is mandatory, getting stronger will happen before you even realize it.

I am very interested! I am 5'3" tall and currently weigh 186 pounds :(
My all time highest weight was 259 pounds in 2002. I went on the Atkins diet and lost down to 135.5. A total of 123.5 pounds lost !! I kept most of the weight off until about this time last year. I started gaining weight for no real reason. In October I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I have gained 50 pounds back :worried: I have tried to go back on the Atkins diet with no success. I tried Weight Watchers for 17 weeks only to gain about 11 pounds during that time.
My doctor put me on Synthroid for my thyroid, and my thyroid levels are currently regulated (finally) but I still can not get the scale to budge. I am scared to getting back to where I started at 259 pounds. I need help and support, but can seem to find it anywhere. I am desperate and would love a team and support system to share my journey with. Just when I thought I had beaten the battle of the bulge, medical issues have made it almost impossible.
At this point I can use all the help I can get. I'm not even sure where to start on my own and I'm tired of failing.
