Team Mickey - Biggest Loser "No Excuses" 2012 Challenge

Good Morning!!!

Another nice day here in MO. These temps are nutty. I will get in another nice walk for the day.

QOTD?

I always tape the Superbowl no matter who is playing just for the commercials.

I might be moving my parents so I may not even be home to watch. I will watch & skim commercials later.

Not rooting for anyone.

Have a good day everyone. I have plenty of fruits and veggies for myself today to stay on plan.:thumbsup2

OMG YOU GUYS! I had my WW weigh-in yesterday and was down 3.6 pounds! I was so excited I was cheering on the scale (how rare is that??)! I knew I was in good shape this week, but that was even better than I thought. My big non-scale victory was a clue - I can now get into (mostly comfortably) all of the jeans in my dresser, and my go-to pair is now too big. You know, I think this exercise thing might be working... ;)

On the exercise front, I have to get my stationary bike serviced. It's ill. It takes rechargeable AA batteries, and now, when I put fully charged ones in there, I get about 10-25 minutes of monitor before it goes to a "wrong battery" message. I can finish my time by just watching the clock, but I miss the heart rate, the timing, the whole nine yards that I get from the display. I put in an online request for service, and we'll see what happens.

I bought a hardcore yoga mat yesterday, too. I don't do yoga (yet?), but I was finding that the exercise mat I was using (the one that came with our Wii Fit) wasn't doing a great job of cushioning and that my hands were slipping a lot on planks when I got sweaty. The new one seems much better! And maybe it'll inspire me to try something new...my sister loves yoga, but I can never seem to quiet myself enough to get into it.

Wednesday QOTD: Are you going to watch the Super Bowl? If so, or if not (this could relate to any party atmosphere), what can you do to make sure you don't over do it with food and drink?
Also, who are you rooting for, if you care?:cool1:

*Definitely* watching! We host a party every year - this is year 16 for me, as the party goes back to my single days! So far, it looks like we'll be squishing at least 26 people into our townhouse. :scared1: I have some clearing out to do so that we can use two levels for the game and make sure there's room for the kids to play, too.

My plan for not overdoing it is different this year - I usually just try and track as I go, and I usually fall flat by halftime. So this year, I decided I'd make myself a plate before the party, as I'm putting the food out. Weighing the serving of baked Tostitos, measuring out the servings of dip, pizza, dessert, and counting it all ahead of time. Then I'll see how long I can make the plate last. Return trips to the veggie tray are encouraged, but without dip. I'm giving myself one hard cider and then Diet Coke for the rest of the night. I'm hoping that hostess duties will keep me from going back to the desserts!

I'm happy either way with this game, as I grew up a fan of both teams. Too fun! I'm leaning a bit more for the Pats as the Giants won the last SB they played, but I'll be happy no matter what. :)

XO
Liz

AOTD: Not planning to watch unless I get invited to a Bowl Party. So, not overdoing it? I don't really drink alchohol, so I would stick with water and drink a bunch so that I would feel fuller. Stick with the small plates so that I wasn't loading up on food on a big plate.

And yay Team Mickey - I made the list!!

Hey Mickeys you're so fine! :MickeyMo

Congratulations to all our superstars and especially to our Biggest Loser, Debra! :cool1:

And a BIG congratulations to Melinda on your PR at the Tink! :tinker:

I had a PR too -- 4:02. It was a wonderful trip and I was so glad to meet so many nice WISHers and podcast folks. :cool2:

Also, who are you rooting for, if you care?:cool1:

I will manage the Super Bowl by doing a little planning and not having too much in the way of not-so-good for you foods. No one is really into football at my house but we like to watch the commercials. And I have Mickey friends who are rooting for each team so I choose to remain neutral. :rolleyes1

Tracey, how was the chicken teriyaki?

OMG YOU GUYS! I had my WW weigh-in yesterday and was down 3.6 pounds! I was so excited I was cheering on the scale (how rare is that??)!

Congrats on the great WI and have fun at Super Bowl Party XVI! :cool2:

I'm calling myself caught up at this point. :goodvibes

We are coming up on a tough time in the spring challenge -- Super Bowl week-end. We've been at this challenge for over a month and all the great feelings of excitement with our healthy lifestyles may be waning a bit. :rolleyes1 But don't give up! This is the time to plan, plan, plan and do whatever it takes to keep yourself on this path you have chosen for yourself. You will not regret that you did it I promise.

Have a great evening all! :goodvibes

Bad coach, I am! Sorry I haven't been on here all day! Trying to get some things accomplished and had some issues to deal with that fortunately are solved now!

The chicken teriyaki was DELICIOUS! I need to get some reduced sodium Soy sauce to cut down on the sodium We had it over egg noodles. The only one who didn't like it was of course, Izzie! She is the pickiest eater in the world!

Next week I will try a crock pot chicken curry over rice! Friday morning I will make a pot of clam chowder. Tomorrow we will have frozen pizza since I have to be at work all day.

Got invited to a Super Bowl party with some old friends so that's where we will head Sunday afternoon. We will go separately as Ash and I have to do something first. Brian and Izzie will go early. I need to decide what to make. Brian and I will discuss that later tonight.

Watching Soul Surfer right now and Brian is teaching the girls blackjack!:scared1:

A fun question for my last one of the week: What is your favorite Disney Resort and Park! When is your next trip?

My favorite resorts are AKV and BCV. We also loved the Poly in 2006! I love the atmosphere of AKV! I was so relaxed staying there. I love BCV's proximity to Epcot and DHS! We will be staying at BWV this summer so that may be my new favorite!

We are going on PCC3.0! We still have some planning and organizing to do and we are getting very excited. Hoping to get our passport photos taken on Saturday and get the ball rolling with that! This will be our longest trip ever! We have earned it after the year and a half we have had!

Oh, my favorite park is Epcot! I like going around the world and trying different foods! We have been once for Food and Wine which was awesome! Would love to go again but that's probably not in the cards for us!

I should get off my tush and do something constructive now!

TTFN :tigger:

We had a tough day at school. Today we told the 5th graders about the loss of their classmate. It's hard because it's hout of the blue, and they don't know yet what caused the death. One of the teachers who worked with him just took the job in January fresh out of college, and this is proving to be really tough on her.

In addition to that, I guess one of the upstairs heaters started smoking so they had to call the fire department. They did not evacuate, but you could smell all over he upstairs and I think it made a lot of the kids nervous. Hopefully tomorrow will be less eventful for the kids.

I did go the ENT and found out that I have a deviated septum and a chronic sinus infection that hasn't gone away. I start antibiotics and wll go back in March to find out if I need sinus surgery.

:wave2:

I am still at Disneyland! :) I PR'd at the Inaugural Tinker Bell Half Marathon (3:19:32) = it was a 27 second PR, but here's the amazing part: I RAN THE WHOLE THING! It was my 7th half marathon in 19 months, but only the first time I have ran the whole thing. Mostly before I was a walker. Now I feel like a runner!
:cheer2::cheer2: That is so wonderful! So happy for you. :cheer2::cheer2:

This week has been tough and it's going to get tougher. We were told after school today that one of our student's died unexpectedly. The students are goign to be informed tomorrow. The student had ben in the school for multiple years and so was known by many teachers. He was part of a very tight knit group of students in special ed and it's going to be very tough on them. I didnt know how him well, so it isn't affecting me nearly as much as some of the other teachers, but I'm worried about how things will go tomorrow, and I can't imagine what those poor parents must be going through.
:sad1: So sorry to hear that. It is tragic when it is someone so young. for all those affected.

I did go the ENT and found out that I have a deviated septum and a chronic sinus infection that hasn't gone away. I start antibiotics and wll go back in March to find out if I need sinus surgery.
If they recommend surgery then my personal recommendation is to DO IT! I was told for 20 years that I had a deviated septum and should have it fixed but I put it off for. . . well 20 years. I had it done a little over a year ago finally and the difference has been amazing! I used to have at least 2 or more sinus infections a year and haven't had one since. My chronic congestion, especially at night is much improved and I sleep much better. I am truly kicking myself for waiting so long.

Just a quick stop in. The DIS has been driving me crazy, as I know it has everyone else. I know I have a few PM's waiting for me but I just haven't had the patience to try to get to them and try to reply. Been busy trying to get stuff done, ran a bunch of errands today. Going to try a new Whole Wheat bread recipe tomorrow to have with dinner. I have to work on some budget information for a board meeting tomorrow night. I don't wanna do my homework!

Had a totally off plan day yesterday :guilty: Just wasn't in the mood-- KWIM? I didn't blow things too bad though. Today was right back on track. I ended up having to go to 3 stores to find something I needed for the bread recipe and along with my other errands I was tired and hungry. So at the last store I grabbed a container at the salad bar and filled it with salad toppings-- no lettuce, just the stuff I wanted with it. That way when I got home I just opened a jar of precut salad, dumped it in a bowl with dressing and then threw the toppings on it. Saved money on the "by the pound" salad bar since I didn't buy lettuce or dressing, and saved time and energy at home by not having to chop things up.

I forgot to quote, but my party tip is to EAT BEFORE YOU GO! I know if I have a really filling soup and salad before I get there it will last me for a few hours and hopefully by then the tempting stuff will all be gone. I also have no shame in bringing a discreet snack like yogurt or some nuts or ham and cheese wraps. And if I have to bring a dish I try to bring something that will either be OP for me or something I hate so I won't want to eat it! :rotfl:

I have only stayed at the Value Resorts and the Swan and Dolphin at WDW. We love the All Stars for the Disney atmosphere so that would be my favorite true Disney resort, but you just can't beat the amenities and the luxury at the Swalphin. And no lie, my husband loves the food court at the All Stars-- especially the Philly Cheesesteak they have. We have never been to Philly so it is the best one he has ever had and he compares all others to that one. He usually gets it several times a trip. In fact when we stayed at the Swan we actually drove over to ASMo one night to get dinner so he could have a cheesesteak!

Not sure on Favorite Park, I really do love them all. I guess I would have to say MK since I can ride most everything there and I am such a fan of the classics. Going to be really interesting to see all the changes when they are done.

Gotta Run. Everyone have a great night and a Healthy ON PLAN day tomorrow!

:sad1: So sorry for you and the children. This has to be difficult for everyone.

A fun question for my last one of the week: What is your favorite Disney Resort and Park! When is your next trip?

Our favorite resort is BLT (our home resort). We like being able to take the monorail to Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Plus we try to do dinner at least one night at Ohanas. My favorite park is Magic Kingdom. I love being able to just find a bench on mainstreet USA and people watch. My next trip is with my best friend in May. She'll be here the end of April for that last weekend. We'll spend April 30th at Epcot and meet up with Alan later that evening for a reservation at Le Cellier for his birthday dinner. Then we'll get up May 1st and head to CSR for a week. I'm excited to try a new resort! We're also planning for a spa day and a Wishes fireworks dessert party. I'm excited to try two brand new things. :)

Evening ::MickeyMo

Well, today was OP as far as food is concerned. However, I thnk my body was trying to tell me not to exercise tonight. First I couldn't find my 30 Day Shred DVD anywhere. I went online and ordered a 3 pack of her videos that incuded Shred and two more. I spent roughly 25 bucks and got free shipping. So i'll have to tweak my fitness routine until they get here. Then I went looking for my pedometer and couldn't find it. Finally found it half an hour later and then booted up the Wii and the game didn't want to work. By this time it was almost 930 and I threw in the towel. I'll get a workout in tomorrow. I was so frustrated I just didn't have the patience to do anything.

I talked with my mom for awhile tonight and I can't wait to see her Monday. February 8th is the anniversary of Josh and Maddie's funeral. I told her I'd spend the money to get her a ticket to Magic Kingdom for that day. I didn't want to be home because all it does is depress me that much more. The funeral just replays through my head all day. This way I'm distracted and I'll be able to spend some time with her. She's still not sure how long she'll be here, whether its a few weeks or a month. I'm secretly crossing my fingers that she can find a job down here. She's been a psychiatric nurse for almost 18 years. According to some research she has done there are several facilities down here within 20 miles of my house, so hopefully she'll have some luck.

Tomorrow is grocery shopping, working out, and cleaning. Then Saturday I'm going to spend it doing some batch cooking. Everyone have a great OP day tomorrow!

Congrats on your PR Lisa! That is so awesome! I love your positivity, too! Its great how you encourage everyone. I really benefit from that, and I know others do as well. Thank you so much!!

QOTD: FAVORITE RESORT/PARK: Well, we always stay at Bonnet Creek. We pretty much love it. We have stayed at Animal Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge, and one night at Pop. We just love Bonnet Creek. We own there, so its a no brainer. We are now (for the last couple of years) always able to get Presidential Reserve suites, so its pretty nice to stay there. We can all spread out (husband and I, and our six kids) and have our room, but still have plenty of space to be together too. The pools and lazy rivers are nice too. They have transportation to the parks, but we always drive our rental van to the parks so we can come and go when we want. We usually go at park opening (or as close as we can) and close them down. We use Ride Max, too, so when we go to the parks its kind of intense. lol. We really love it. Now that our kids are all older (11 to 20) we can do that kind of theme park touring, and everyone is into it.

Favorite park: hmm.. touch one! The one I'm at at that particular time? lol. I have to say I really love Epcot!

Well, its my last night in Anaheim after Tink. Sad to leave, but happy to get home tomorrow (to reality). We walked 12 miles today in California Adventure. It was great. World of Color was fabulous!

I hope everyone has an amazing day tomorrow!:cool1::thumbsup2

QOTD - favourite park. I think now it is Epcot (although MK comes close), I love the two halves and being able to wander from country to country. I would love to stay at GF - so far have only visited it, we had a great photo shoot there a couple of years back. We were hoping to go back in December but I am currently having health problems and have been scheduled for tests. Until that is all sorted we cannot book flights so I just have to hope once it is all sorted I can still get flights for the school holidays (kids will all be at (different) uni BUT each uni has picked a different set of dates so I will have one or more home from 4th Dec to 21st Jan but the only times they are all here for two weeks is the main school holidays :mad:)

I am sorry I have not posted on here as much as I would like but each pages takes ages to load and I often do not have that much time. I thought it was just me but reading the comments obviously everyone is having problems at the moment.

Holy cow - I haven't been able to have this page load in three days!!:headache: Just saw the comments and guess I wasn't the only one having problems. Trying to catch up here....

YAYdebrapagliasotti!!!!:cool1::cool1: And yay, all of us!! And everyone in this challenge! I almost missed this quote. So excited!

Hi everyone,
Last night was my "I'd like to punch the DIS" night. It's tax season, so I keep my Monday nights open to post results, only last night the DIS was less than cooperative. I would hit preview and just get a swirly thing. Then I would get an error, hit the back button, forward button, log in, log out, even leave for an hour and come back and nothing. I was less than thrilled and couldn't even access to see what posted on which thread or not. So, I technically should be doing taxes right now, but I am committed (or will need to be comitted if the DIS acts up again on a Monday night when it's posting time :rotfl:) to getting the results up.

goodvibes
Good to know it wasn't just me. I was ready to throw something at my laptop!!

!

Wednesday QOTD: Are you going to watch the Super Bowl? If so, or if not (this could relate to any party atmosphere), what can you do to make sure you don't over do it with food and drink?
Also, who are you rooting for, if you care?:cool1:

TTFN :tigger:
We're definitely watching. LOVE football (even if the only "real" New York team is sitting home this year...sniff, sniff, C'MON BILLS!!!!). We'll be rooting for the Giants. They have a summer football camp here and we brought my 6 year old niece the summer before last. The players were so nice to her (and all the other kids clamoring after them) - Manning in particular. I was surprised at how down to earth they all were.

A fun question for my last one of the week: What is your favorite Disney Resort and Park! When is your next trip?

TTFN :tigger:
Resort" Disney Beach Club - this is my "happy" place. Just the sight of it cheers me up.
Park: Animal Kingdom.

:grouphug::grouphug: What a rough week. I am so sorry

Congrats to all the runners this past week. :yay::yay: I need to jump on FB to see pictures posted of everyone with their medals!! (Lisa, did you post a picture yet?? Did I miss it??)

I know I missed alot trying to quickly read everything before work. Hope everyone has a great day!!:cheer2:

Hey MICKEYS you're so fine! :smickey:

Thanks for coaching this week, Tracey! :goodvibes

A fun question for my last one of the week: What is your favorite Disney Resort and Park! When is your next trip?

My favorite resort is Grand Californian and my favorite park is the original Disneyland. But I grew up in Anaheim and it has held a special place in my heart for a long, long time. I just returned from there don't know when I will return. Here is a picture from my room at the DVC GC

427742_2935455944594_1206949256_32808400_1924040684_n.jpg

This is California Adventure -- Mickey's Fun Wheel, part of the track from California Screamin' and another ride whose name escapes me now in Paradise Pier. I could hear World of Color every night and see some of the lights and fountains.

My favorite resort at WDW is Animal Kingdom Jambo House. I love all the animals. My favorite WDW park is Epcot. We are booked to go to WDW in June at OKW if I can find some reasonably priced airline tickets.

Jess, sorry for the tough time at work. Those sinus infections are tough. :flower3:

LTS, great tip to stay OP for the Super Bowl festivities! :thumbsup2

Debbie, I love all your tags! :goodvibes

Kristina, I'm glad that your Mom is coming to visit. :cool2:

Congrats on your PR Lisa! That is so awesome! I love your positivity, too! Its great how you encourage everyone. I really benefit from that, and I know others do as well. Thank you so much!!

Aww, you're so sweet! Thanks! :flower3: I'm so glad that you had a wonderful time at DLR and sorry that we didn't get to meet. I was so happy to finish and not get swept this time. :tink:

Start thinking about WDW Marathon W/E in 2013 -- I'm doing the Donald. That goes for all of you! ::yes::

I am sorry I have not posted on here as much as I would like but each pages takes ages to load and I often do not have that much time. I thought it was just me but reading the comments obviously everyone is having problems at the moment.

Yep, the poor Disboards are having some problems lately but I'm sure they will get them fixed as fast as they can. Just keep swimming! :swimming:

Holy cow - I haven't been able to have this page load in three days!!:headache: Just saw the comments and guess I wasn't the only one having problems. Trying to catch up here....

Glad you were able to see that you made the top 10 list, Jude! :yay: Congrats! :thumbsup2

Here is a picture of me at the Tinker Bell Half finish with my fellow Lisabelle, Lisa, who is a Team Donald member. I am the Lisa on the right.

I'm going to take it easy this week-end and catch up on things at home. Everyone seems to be coming down with a bit of a cold. First one of the season so can't really complain.

DH and I are also starting a triathalon program at our local community center based on the Ironman -- called the Krocman (the center is funded by the Kroc family). You swim 2.4 miles, ride a bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles but you have a month to do each leg. So in February I have to swim 2.4 miles -- 106 laps in the little pool I plan to use. Considering I did 180 laps around the indoor track as part of my training for the Tink in one day, this shouldn't be too bad. It's good mental training. :hippie:

Have a great day all!

LISA! the pic and your bling! thanks for sharing that!

LTS -- 'swalphin' :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

A fun question for my last one of the week: What is your favorite Disney Resort and Park! When is your next trip?

wahhh...poor me...i don't have a trip planned :confused3 but don't play your violin too long for me, we just moved our dummy DCL ressie for July 2013 sailing on the Fantasy! woot woot!

fav resort is a hard one...i get asked alot by friends planning their vaca and it depends on the focus of the trip :teeth: we had a week stay at AKL with our DDs that was an awesome week, one of the last family vaca where oldest DD still enjoyed our company  i love the location of the swalphin (LTS i have to hijack that, i love that!) and one day plan to stay at Beach Club. i love the transportation perks when we stayed at Poly.

my fav park at this moment is DHS -- for ToT and RnR, PrimeTime Cafe and Fantasmic!

so my lab testing is not hitting the jackpot yet :sad2: i did 10 midnight blood draws and if there was a range of normal - diagnostic mine are smack dab in the middle. :confused3 high enough to warrant further testing, but not high enough to stop. i'm going to take a few nights off and probably pick them back up some next week. if you are the praying kind, please say a prayer for me that if this is the right direction, that my labs prove so quickly as the testing is very exhausting. beyond the midnights i'm doing urine collections (TMI, sorry) and they are so inconvenient :rolleyes1

so i'm still dangling my foot off the wagon. i'm falling into a bad habit of not really eating dinner b/c i don't feel good. i forced myself last night to eat a turkey, cheese wrap at 8 p.m. and that's not a good choice. i'm not exercising b/c i'm so fatigued.

but i'm still thankful for you all for letting me stay a part of this group despite my challenges b/c reading the thread makes me smile and gives me hope!

:thanks: tigger813 for coaching this week!!! :thanks:

Morning Mickeys!

I have been having a really hard time getting on the Dis lately. I finally got on and then got caught by the poof fairy. It was just too late to try again. Yesterday, I had some mom drama and was too emotionally drained to attempt to come on here. I am sorry I am being such an absent co-hostess.

Congrats to Melinda and Lisa on their PRs! You two rock! :worship:

FriendofaMouse: I am so sorry for your loss. I hope the students and all of you teachers/staff have a better day today.

My favorite park is MK. I love the atmosphere and the attractions. I don't ride the mountains, but otherwise, we try to do everything. We haven't done the Carousel in a while. Not sure why? Cannot wait for the new Fantasyland!

My favorite resort is Wilderness Lodge. I love the atmosphere there. The buses usually run quickly and the boat ride is beautiful. Roaring Forks is small compared to Pop's food court, but has a good selection. It's hard to go back to a value after staying there, but I'd certainly try a moderate. I'd love to try Port Orleans Riverside. We visited it and it seems like it would suit us well. We loved that WL was all in one building though. We also got rooms a quick elevator ride to the pool and Roaring Forks.

Have a great, OP day everyone! Will try to catch up on HHs PMs now.

but i'm still thankful for you all for letting me stay a part of this group despite my challenges b/c reading the thread makes me smile and gives me hope!

So sorry that the testing continues but glad that you are hanging here with us still! :flower3: I think if you can maintain even the whole challenge you will be a WINNER! :thumbsup2

Yesterday, I had some mom drama and was too emotionally drained to attempt to come on here.

Sorry for the drama.

I thought I would share a great article that I saw on sparkpeople.com 'cause I know y'all have been missing my little sparkpeople posts. ;)

Great Excuses to Not Work Out

I've heard every excuse in the book and even tried some of them myself. Exercise…who needs it? You do! Here are some of the best excuses ever to skip a workout. Let's see how great they really are!

I'm in horrible shape.

That may be true, so if that's the way you want to remain, don't work out today. People who are in shape get that way by exercising. Regularly. No, they were not born with six packs.

I don't like it.

I don't like a lot of things—flossing my teeth, waking up to an alarm, paying bills—but I still do them. Be the mature grownup that you are and do the things you know you should or have to do even if you don't like them. A lot of things worth doing aren't always fun or enjoyable. (And hey, if I can learn to love vegetables, you can learn to love/like/tolerate exercise.)

I can't afford it.
Your body is yours and moving it is generally free unless you want to get all fancy. Here are 25 ways to get fit for $25 or less (many of them free), plus over 50 free workout videos. Better yet, just get out the door and walk.

I don't want to mess up my hair.
What is really more important: How your hair looks or how your body looks, feels and performs?

I just worked out yesterday.

Good for you! That means you're able and equipped to do it again today!

I don't know what I'm doing.
You also didn't know how to walk, drive a car, live away from home, do your job or raise a child until you just did it. Like many things in life, you can and will figure it out. Start simple. Just do it.

I'm don't need to work out as long as I'm dieting.

If you don’t want to work out, plan to get about half the results from dieting alone and be twice as hungry. Here's why. Let's also not forget that there are far more reasons to exercise than weight-loss alone: stronger bones, improved health, better appearance, improved posture, less pain, and so on.

I'm too tired.

Chances are that you'll feel more energized after you exercise than if you skip it altogether. But that feeling of guilt you'll have for skipping your workout will last longer than the tiredness you feel when your alarm goes off in the morning.

I heard exercise really isn't that good for you.

Well I heard that rubbing mud on your stomach will burn belly fat! (Just because you hear something doesn't mean it's true.)

It takes too long.

Exercise creates time because you have more energy to get things done and a longer, healthier lifespan in which to do more with your life. Or you can just skip it and shorten your life and decrease your mobility and independence—all in an effort to save time in the present. Does that seem like a fair trade? Everyone has 10 minutes--and that's all it takes.

I'm not athletic.
If you're sitting there making excuses not to work out, that's probably true. Athletes don't skip their workouts. The good news is there is an athletic person within each of us. It's just that some of us are in training and some aren't. Think like an athlete and don't make excuses to skip your training. Soon enough, you'll unleash your inner athlete, too!

I have to work.

Regular exercisers tend to move up the corporate ladder and earn more money than people who don't work out. If you really can't get away from the overtime, squeeze in more activity with these workday fitness boosters.

I've got better things to do.
What's better than taking care of yourself so that you can be your best at everything you do?

I don't want everyone looking at me.

Everyone else is too busy paying attention to themselves to even notice you. And even if they do look at you, so what? People look at you, think things about you and silently judge you all day long, exercising or not. Repeat this to yourself: "If someone has a problem with me, it's their problem—not mine."

I don't like to sweat.

Sweat is sexy! Sweat is strong! You don't have to like it, but you do have to accept it as a given for most workouts. Or at least try these 8 workouts you'll love if you hate to sweat.

I don't look good in spandex.

Spandex is not a requirement for exercise. Unless you're still wearing workout clothes from 1983, in which case a little workout wardrobe update is in order. Wear whatever you do feel good in—and it doesn't have to be fitted to allow you to move.

I don't have the right shoes.

Try a barefoot workout like yoga or Pilates!

I don't want to take ANOTHER shower today.

Next time, plan your workouts around your ideal shower-and-get-ready schedule, or try these quick and easy post-workout refreshers for when showering isn't viable.

I'm too busy.

Then why are you sitting here reading this? Get up and move! (And consider this: Someone busier than you is working out right now.)

By now I think you can tell that there really are no good excuses for skipping your workout. But I'd still love to hear the best (or funniest) workout excuses you've ever used (or heard from someone else). Share yours — and try to counter it if you can!

Feeling empowered today! We did the P90X plyometrics last night and I still managed to run my 1 1/2 miles this morning and felt great after! Usually I give myself roughly 24 hours to recuperate but will not be home this evening and needed to get it done early. Feeling closer to being ready for the 5K in April. Hasta la vista last 22 pounds! You're going down!! I think I've finally set my forever goal. I keep changing it and tweaking it but I think I just need to settle on it. It feels like I've been trying to lose the "last 20" for about 3 months now even though the scale has been going down. Great job everyone for last week! Hope everyone has had a great week and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's triumphs for this week!:cool1:

Since yesterday the poof fairy attacked FOUR times, I’m going to try to write this in word and paste it on dis. Had a terrible time getting any computer in our house to work speedily, very frustrating. Even on the ipad dis took forever and my post poofed twice! :headache:

So, QOTDs I remember: No superbowl party for us, but the game will probably be on at our house. Don't care who wins. I try to eat before parties and clutch my glass of water tightly so I can’t hold a plate! No WDW trips planned but we are going to Disneyland in November (1st time for DH). My favorite resort is the Dolphin (I know, it’s not Disney-but close enough) for its location. LOVE it. We stay moderate and have loved all of them. Pop is fine, too. No favorite park. I’m always just happy to be in Florida! Ah, warmth

The scale has finally started moving again. But even better was WIN. I really didn’t expect to lose any inches this month, but did! Not only that, but I realized that since I first joined a challenge in June I have lost 16 inches!

Hope everybody has a super day!

A fun question for my last one of the week: What is your favorite Disney Resort and Park! When is your next trip?

AOTD: I have to answer this by group, because I just can't choose one. Value - Pop Century - love this resort! Moderate - Port Orleans French Quarter, I just stayed there in January and really love how small it is and the place is just full of ambiance! Deluxe - I have only stayed in 1 deluxe resort, The Poly. While I love the place, the trip was HORRIBLE (long story, but had something to do with who I went with)! The one where I want to stay the most is the Boardwalk!

My next trip is in May (solo) for the Everest Challenge!
