Okay, me first! I am almost 51, my birthday is Thursday. I don't mind being 51, it's beats the alternative. I have been doing races only since October of 2006. I don't work outside the home, because I work inside the home! I do all the desk work for our corporation. I am not an engineer type, I am a business type. I grew up in Colorado and now live on the sweeping plains of Texas.

I am honored to be the captain of this illustrious team! Can't wait for the fun to begin!

I am Lynn, I am married to Scott H. I am 57 years old, and also am proud of it. I am RETIRED! so I also work inside the home. I take care of 2 Malamutes, they are my walking buddies! I have lived in Wyoming most of my adult life, although I grew up on the East Coast (PA). We lived in Jackson (Hole) for 28 years, and moved to Cheyenne last year. My first race was the DL half marathon last year, since then I have done several local 5K races, the TOT 13 K last year, and most recently, the WDW 5K and Half marathon. I have signed up for the full marathon for next year. We will also be doing the Minnie, the Atlanta ING half marathon, the TOT 13 K, and probably some local 5K races again this summer. I am mostly a walker who throws in enough running to keep my pace up. I have been walking 6 mi a day, 5 days a week with the dogs, but I will have to increase those miles if I plan to finish the marathon next Jan! I also plan to add some weight training and pilates to my training schedule.GO TEAM HAKUNA MATATA!

Hi! I am Lisa :goodvibes I am 47 years old and although, I have worked out regularly for over 5 years, my first race was a 5K Race for the Cure in Oct 2007. Then, I did a 10K here in Birmingham, AL, my hometown in November 2007. Finally, I did the Disney Half-Marathon on Jan 12 :thumbsup2 I have signed up for the Mercedes Half here in Birmingham on Feb 10 - two Half-Marathons inside a month :scared1: I will be at the Minnie Marathon too!! I want to do the Full marathon in 09 at Disney!!!!!

I am happily married and have two teenage sons :grouphug: I work outside the home as a mortgage loan officer. I also deal with lupus and fibromyalgia. I don't let it stop me; my doctor says the exercise is helping to control the disease :cheer2: I am glad to be here - lets show them what we are made of :teeth:

Did anyone see the Logos? We can adopt one of those or if there is another creative person amongst us, we can develop a new one. They would be fun to add to our signatures.

Glad to hear your voices, Lisa and Lynn!:goodvibes

I'm Stephanie. I'm 32 married with two wonderful kiddos (4 and 2) We live right outside of Little Rock, AR. I've run 3 full marathons in the past year, so I'm actually giving the body a bit of a break--but that doesn't mean I'm gonna let my team down. I plan on doing a lot of 5 and 10K distances with possibly another marathon in September. DH and I are still on the fence on going Goofy (we were sure, but now we're wavering). We won't make it back down for the Minnie but are planning on the ToT and Marathon weekend in one facet or another!

I'm Scott of ScottH, let's see I am 56, married to Lynn, She told ya alot about where we live and the pups, and future events. I am fairly new to running, and am really enjoying it. It started with weight loss and gastric bypass surgery, which worked great for me as I was a fit fat person, if that oxymoron makes sense. I have had some pretty good adventures in my life, and done some pretty fun things.

Lynn did not mention that she is a PADI Divemaster and I am a PADI Master Instructor. We teach SCUBA for fun. We have traveled a bunch. Really enjoy Disney and have been DVC members since 1991.

Due to the nature of my current job I don't share the specifics here. I will say I work for the Wyoming Attorney General, in law enforcement and will retire in one year 4 months and 3 days, but who is counting.

Planning on the Goofy in 09 so my miles will definitely increase, will be getting back to the resistance training, which I have let slide for cardio.

Looking to this event as a great motivator.

I like the team logo in Connie’s signature, simple and will not take up a lot of signature space. Kinda of a feng shui thing. KEWL!!! Let’s Go.

I'm Dave, aka Various Panda's.

I'm a 56 year old racewalker. I compete in lots of local short distance races from 2 to 6.2 miles. I'm usually in the top 5 in the short distance walk races. I'm not a good long distance racer so Erica, my lady who also walks, and I do the half and full marathons together. My last win and last competive race was last year a week before ToT. Since then I was doing all distance training for the Goofy challange which we finished.

We are planning on the ToT this year and the Marathon in Jan 2009. I will be doing my local short races again starting in May.

I'm retired from the Air Force and currenty work at a Lenscrafters as the night manager and optician.

I've been involved with exercise for about 35 years. During the last ten years of my military career I was directly involved with development and implementing fitness programs for the troops.

Last year I had the honor of representing Kentucky in the National Senior Olympics. I placed 8th in the 5K and 9th in the 1500. That was a wonderful experience. I plan to go and try to win state again in 2010 so I can compete in 2011 when the games are in Huston. That year the US and the European medal winners will square off in a world senior games. I just have to beat a couple of world record holders to accomplish that.

Let the games begin....CHARGE!!!!!!!

I just wanted something for now, in my signature! I loved the ones you did!

As time permits I'll work on those, if ya all want.

Thanks, Scott. Silly Panda said, "But none with the darn pig in them, though" although, I like the darn pig. Simba and Timon provided the depth to the team but Pumbaa provided the breadth....ahem. :lmao:

I think you were coming up with some great stuff! I was going to copy one and well....I tried, but I didn't succeed. Maybe you could post them on this thread so they aren't so hard to hunt down!

Hi to all my fellow TEAM 3 members!!!

I am Erica the adult supervision for Panda!! I celebrated my 52nd birthday
while doing the 1/2 marathon potion of the Goofy Challenge.

I am a Registered Nurse who works on a Cardiac Telemetry Unit and will soon
be moving to ICU/CCU.

I spend time with my 2 psycho kittens and 5 yr old chocolate lab for fun.

I racewalk though not as fast as Dave. I love the long distances of 1/2, full,
and Goofy!!!

Connie I like your signature logo!!

Erica:)

Scott says to tell you that he will work on them and post to this thread.

OK Kids here are three clip art images we could work with let me know which ya like and I will work on adding a banner or text. they will be much easier to find here for sure.

Hey Dave Blues Bro Trivia, who was the property room clerk, and what are some of the other characters he is more noted for.

I also have a great song for us, it is even in Kiswahili. More on that later.

Scott I can't remember that one I haven't seen the movie in years and years, I need to watch it again.

Maybe a few beers at the Big River Brewery might loosen my memory cells. It seems to make my mouth loose anyway.

Hi, Team!

I am Kathy. I am a 50-year-old walker from Colorado. I'm married (28 years and counting) and have 2 grown children and 5 grandsons. I started walking for excercise to try and lose the weight I had carried for over 20 years. My lifelong friend, Steffwalks (aka/Connie) and I became long-distance support for one another in the weight-loss/fitness arena. We managed to get our weight off, but keeping it off has been a continual challenge. We're on year 4 of keeping it off, but sometimes it still feels like day 1!! Connie got me started in racing and and I decided to cooperate with her :lmao: because I needed something to keep me motivated. We did our first race in October, 2006. It was a REALLY hard 20k trail race. Now we always say to one another "We did Palo Duro, we can do THAT! :thumbsup2

I met Dave and Erica at ToT this last year - Hi, guys! I really enjoyed meeting both of you and getting to spend a little time together.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the rest of you while we participate in this really cool competition! (Thanks, Dave, btw, for all your hard work in organizing this!)

Scott, I'm looking forward to seeing the logos! Nice to meet you, Scott, Lynn, Stephanie and Lisa! Hope I didn't miss anyone! It's nearing 8 pm, the witching hour when I turn into a pumpkin! LOL!

Okay, I know it might not be much help, but I like both the ones with the characters walking across the tree - even though it does have the darned pig in it! :rotfl: - and the one with just Rafiki. I could easily live with either of those. This doesn't have to be my final answer, does it???:scared1:

The ones with more characters is more teamish for sure.

Kathy where in CO, we are thinking of doing Boulder Boulder this year.

Dave a hint for ya, we went to an attraction at the Studios with you and Erica in which you heard the guy.

Hi I'm Diane. I'm 39 and currently work part-time doing payroll which works out great for training. I was dragged into this medal chase in 2004 when Susan my training/travelling buddy spotted the Mickey medal during our January trip that thankfully feel on Marathon weekend. In 2005 we found ourselves in the starting corral lined up for our 1st WDW Half Marathon. We managed to go 8.5 miles with absolutely no training :scared1: I was actually relieved to be swept but as i sat there we could see the racers continuing on the other side. Sitting there I decided I wanted to be THEM. I was going to train and return and finish. As you can see in my sig I did and hope to have many years of racing Disney :thumbsup2

On deck looks to be the Martian 1/2 Marathon - Apr 5th (just got dragged into that today) Minnie 15K & 5K. RFTT 10K and I am pushing to get to the EE5K. 2009 WDW Half again with plans to do the Full again in 2010.

I'm a walker trying to add in more running. I would like to eventually be running with walking breaks. But mostly running the Half's is my dream. Each year and each Marathon Weekend brings me more and more dedicated to this new found love of going the distance. :lovestruc

My current bib # 's are 1868 for the Jan 5k and 12189 for the WDW Full. I don't recommend eating before viewing the Full photos nor do i recommend going to bed immediately afterwards. They have been known to cause nightmares :lmao: My main reason for wanting to re-do the Full in 2010.... HAPPIER LOOKING PHOTOS lmbo

ETA: My DH Ray was at the Full Marathon along the course, the distracted WISH guy. His 1st BIG event. Poor guy had a cold/allergy attack going on. No kids to date but then again I'm more expensive than kids LOL. Ray will hopefully be doing the RftT 10k with me and Susan. Oh Susan is Mousemgr something something since I can never remember it exactly. She makes rare appearances on the board :)
