And.

He's HOT!

Yes, he IS!!! I love the episode where they meet .... Amuse Bouche... :lmao:

Leesa - Jeeze, sounds like a dramatic night!

V - FWIW, Evan often questions my love for him, make me wonder where he gets it from, but I think it's normal. Besides I've seen you and Leo together, and the way he looks at you. Nothing but love and adoration. :cloud9:

Keeping Evan home today, he's just not well enough to send to school. I'm worried his cough is going to become bronchitis. :guilty: Got nothing going on, really. I do have to get ready for our Brownie meeting tomorrow. We start selling cookies later this month. I'm taking order, TFI. ;) I'll ship them to you, FOC. :teeth:

Off to get on the Fit before Evan wakes up. BBL! Have a good day! :goodvibes

I'm glad we can help Mel, I think that you do need to see someone and try and get to the bottom of it

When you say grill do you been BBQ? Grill here is just the way we cook stuff it's part of our oven

I agree, and that is why I called my BFF here in MI (who is a family therapist) and asked her to recommend someone for me! She did, and I called and made contact this am when I left the gym! They said she'll call me and set up an appt by the end of the day! :thumbsup2

I mean BBQ. What part of your oven is the grill? Is that the broiler? :confused3

My mom was over the other day and points to something on the coffee table and asked if it is a piece of poop. I look and sure enough it looks like a tiny piece of cat poop. I go over and realize it is just a coco puff that my son dropped while snacking. I tell him it is a coco puff but tell grandma yes to her question and then pop it in your mouth. He does and my mom about fainted. Ds and I laughed and told her what it was.

Margie! That is HILARIOUS!!!

Oh Mel , I was hoping that it was because of the eye doctor and you would feel better now.

The grill comment cracks me up. It must be a Michigan thing. When I was a child my mom had a wind blocker built so she could use the grill in the cold when it was windy. Now she has it on her front porch so it is were she can get to it in the winter. She makes some great ribs on it no matter what the weather. I should take a pic of her in her winter coat all bundled up and grilling.

Thanks Margie! I don't know what it is, it's not all the time so that makes it hard to pinpoint. I think the psych. will help!

Yep, must be Michigan! I only like my burgers grilled though, so we have to! Eh, 15 isn't that cold......:rotfl:

Hi Mel! I understand exactly what your talking about! I've been there. I was going though the same thing thing 13 years ago. I was confused, and didnt know what was wrong with me. its a hard time. you already have some professionals in your corner and thats a great start! Dont be afraid to use them. dont be afraid to use medication either..it doesnt mean that you cant handle yourself or that your a failure at anything! they are used to get your chemicals to balance. You'll do okay girlie...I like your idea of the excersise to help.

I love to start the grill in winter...it smells so good!
Carrie, how'd you get so wise?? That was great advice, and it helps SO MUCH to know that I'm not alone. Sometimes, I think we beat ourselves up because we can't shoulder the world's problems and our own and handle it! I'm not against meds if that's the diagnosis, I just want to stop feeling bad!
Excercise helped! Update below!

Just a quick note to say I am up and heading to Tink's school for drop off and a meeting. We'll see how much of my normal activities I can do without over extending myself. I am feeling much better, but still have a tough time breathing and am somewhat exhausted.

Wish me luck! Be back later to catch up.

Oh, Jen! Don't do too much!

Good Morning! I hurt this morning! I think I overdid the workout a bit yesterday! Plus, I'm having a few "intestinal" issues this morning, so for now, I'm not planning on hitting the gym today. Instead, I'll workout by carrying the vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs and carrying sheets and towels to and from the washer, etc. while cleaning my house! How's that for creative exercise?

Mel - I hope you figure out what's going on and get some help. And I agree with Carrie. There's no shame in taking medicine for something that's off in your body!

Where's Katt?? Anyone seen her??

Great idea for working out! LOL! I'll be doing that workout tomorrow!

Thanks for the hugs. I am hoping that things even out soon. I don't like feeling this way.

Morning All!!
Mel I do understand I have been there ! Am much better now adn meds do help !!
Thanks Rosie. That is so helpful! :goodvibes

I shouldn't complain, most nights my job is super easy but then nights like this come around where all hell breaks loose. I am just lucky it wasn't a weekend or I would have been having to deal with drunk students and medical assists on top of all that!
Ok, so we should be glad when disasters only befall you ON WEEKDAYS! LOL! Glad you are ok!

Mel - that sucks about the anxiety, as you know I suffer from it too at random times. I usually have troubles with it late at night causing me to not sleep vs the waking up with it that you suffer from. Could the anxiety be caused by your eye issues, do this happen more often when you have appointments coming up?

I haven't been able to pinpoint the reason. I mean the eye is always a concern so that could be it but I think it's a combo of things. Have you seen anyone for yours? SD's therapist said that if you wake up at night or have trouble sleeping, it's time to see someone. :confused3
Maybe we can help each other!

So, Leo came back from his dad's last night and this morning asks me, "Mommy - are you tired of me?" Is that about the saddest thing you've ever heard? I asked where he'd gotten such an idea and he didn't have an answer. I just hugged hard and told him I'm never tired of him - I want him around always! :goodvibes

Oh, V. That's so sad. I'm sure it was innocent enough. Well, I hope anyway. You never want to think about ANYONE telling a child something like that!  For you!

Good morning everyone. We are supposed to get sleet and snow this afternoon, just in time to make the drive home take FOREVER At work, not much going on otherwise.

HAve a great day everyone

Hi Janet! Be careful out there!

He is planning to remarry this year.. and I am suspicious that he may ask for full custody of the boy. Instead of the Joint they currently have

Hi Katt!

It's a good question Katt, and I honestly don't know the answer. Thinking of the man I thought I knew for the 8+ years we were married, I'd say "no way." But he's done and said a LOT of things I never thought him capable of since then, so who knows?

I have heard/seen/experienced some UNBELIEVABLE things from people I know who are divorcing. With kids and without. Makes me SICK!

Running by!

:wave2: Waving!

Oh, and V?...it's not working 'cause I broke it.
Awww, Kate. Why'd you go and break FB?

O.K. Ladies... Fork over the Presents.....

It IS NATIONAL SMITH DAY !!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

 HAPPY SMITH DAY!

:rotfl: Is that anything like Bush's response when asked why we hadn't yet found Bin Laden? Bush: "Because he's hiding."

Ok, I'm a Republican and that makes even ME shake my head. :sad2:

Note to self: Bribing Aiden to do school for time on the Wii with dad or McD's works. :thumbsup2

Sure it does! Good job!
I vote for McD's though.

*************************************************

I survived the gym. WHOA. They need a LOWER low-impact aerobics. I am woefully out of shape.
But (as they say) A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step....or something like that. V? You know that one? Did I get it right?
It was hard anyway, but I liked it. And I ran into Gus' little gf's Mom there! She's really sweet. She said she'd love to come up and walk on the treadmill or bike with me anytime! SO, it's cool to have a friend to workout with!

I'm home now. I REALLY need a shower now! So, that's my next stop. Then I want to read a book or do something quiet for the little time I have till I pick up kids.

As I mentioned above, I'll hopefully have an appt with a therapist really soon. That should help a great deal. I can't thank you guys enough for being so great and listening to me. You know, sometimes it helps just to let it all out!

Gus slept better last night and went off to school without any drama! I am really looking forward to those burgers on the BBQ (JO) now! Working out makes me HUNGRY!

MEL:banana:

O.K.

Back from working out... Suprisingly.. it was NOT BUSY... I wanted to be there at 9:30.. did not make it till 10:30... MAYBE.. that's THE TIME TO GO.. After all the Classes... and the rest of the machine people have left... BEFORE.. THE LUNCH BREAK perople get there.

I used to get there at 9am, right after the bus picked up DD7 and have found this year that 1:30 pm is much better! The only people I had to share with yesterday were the old men! There were a bunch in there. Wonder if they have a club or something....

We start selling cookies later this month. I'm taking order, TFI. ;) I'll ship them to you, FOC. :teeth:

We're selling cookies too! Our sale started last Friday and ends on Jan 25th. Delivery in mid-February. Just FYI.... :confused3

and then theres the poor kid still sitting in the chair lift! he'll never forget that skiing trip with his Dad! :lmao: :lmao:

Who is this guy? :confused3

BTW I knew the other guy that V posted... thanks hon!

:car:

That's Dean Smith, Carrie. He's the men's basketball coach at North Carolina -- a major rival of Kentucky (Katt's team). Just so happens to be Katt's DH's name as well (Scott is his middle name). Janet was trying to be funny! :rotfl:

OH CARP. I just remembered that I meant to start something in the crock pot an hour ago. :headache: I think it's a 4-6 hour, though (the chicken & noodles), so I need to do it NOW.

Sorry to hear of your weather, CE. We are unusually warm for this time of year. No wonder the boys are sick

Ugh, I'm sorry. It's not bad at all now, but I keep getting dire warnings on my Desktop Weather. :lmao:

Have a great day everyone!

You, too! :goodvibes

TCe, have fun at tennis. I'm off to the gym as well. Hope you get some good alone time before the next snowstorm hits!

Thanks, I did.

I am resolved to finding a good therapist and if necessary taking a daily med that will help keep me from getting to this point. I don't love the idea but I can't stand the never knowing when it will hit! For now, I'm not sharing any of this with SD. I'm worried that he'll get upset if he thinks I'm struggling...does that make sense?

Sounds like a plan. Exercise is supposed to be helpful... Do you think some of it might just be seasonal? Winter blahs or SAD or whatever? Anyway, glad you're getting in touch with someone - no reason to be miserable.

Have fun at tennis

Thanks, I did!

I did 40 minutes on the Wii Fit, well it was over an hour but only gives you 40 mins :headache: I am back to pre Christmas weight though :thumbsup2

WTG, Jo!

At least you have today. Enjoy it because tomorrow sounds like no fun at all.

I know. And it's my busy day, too - I have to pick up the boys for their tennis, I'm waiting for the oxygen guy... Sigh.

:rotfl: That's hysterical!

I saw your question to Jo, BTW. :thumbsup2

Just a quick note to say I am up and heading to Tink's school for drop off and a meeting. We'll see how much of my normal activities I can do without over extending myself. I am feeling much better, but still have a tough time breathing and am somewhat exhausted.

Have a good day, but take it easy!

Instead, I'll workout by carrying the vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs and carrying sheets and towels to and from the washer, etc. while cleaning my house! How's that for creative exercise?

That counts!
I am just lucky it wasn't a weekend or I would have been having to deal with drunk students and medical assists on top of all that!

I'm glad for you that it wasn't Saturday!

:goodvibes

Aw, honey. I get that from time to time, too, though.

Good morning everyone. We are supposed to get sleet and snow this afternoon, just in time to make the drive home take FOREVER:headache: At work, not much going on otherwise.

Must be coming up the coast, huh? You this afternoon, me overnight? Good luck!

Running by! :teacher:

Hi, Dawn!

Good to know!

I always loved going at 11:00-12:00 when the kids were in preschool there at the gym and got picked up at 12:15. It was so uncrowded and nice - I don't like working out after lunch, myself.

Off to get on the Fit before Evan wakes up. BBL! Have a good day! :goodvibes

Have fun, I'm sorry he's not feeling good.

Gus slept better last night and went off to school without any drama! I am really looking forward to those burgers on the BBQ (JO) now! Working out makes me HUNGRY!

That's great!

************************************************
I did my tennis, came home and got on the Fit for my daily check, and wound up doing 25 minutes - so that's nearly 2 hours total exercise this morning. Then I ate. :rotfl: (Not too badly, though...)

As I said, I need to get off the computer and get my crock pot going, then I think it's a good day to dye my hair, too - I need the shower, my hair isn't too clean or too dirty, and I have an hour and a half.

Gotta go, though!

I take the boys to tennis and then it will be dinner and so forth, so I may not be back, if I do this other stuff. D is off starting tomorrow, so I'll end up being spotty - then we leave Friday night and I'll really be MIA. I'll check in as I can, though! :grouphug:

The "Y" that's closest to me cranks up again around 11:30 and stays slammed till 1:30... then slows back down till around 5:30when you can not get NEAR A MACHINE.. or find a place to park

Afternoon Fockers!

I tried catching up but just can't do it today. I did read back a few pages though...

Mel -

Katt - I think you posted the skier story...Thank you sooooooo much for the laugh today, I really needed it!

Not much has been going on today. I've been calling my attorney and the child support place all morning. My dumba$$ of an ex has yet to pay child support so I'm trying to get things set up to where it comes directly from his paycheck. He was supposed to do this MONTHS ago but it was always one excuse after another. So, after doing some research I'm able to take matters into my own hands and get it taken care of on my own. I'm sure he'll love getting that letter in the mail saying the child support will all be coming out of his paycheck on the 1st of the month.

And we are getting hit by the ice/rain storm too. Its not too bad and I don't think it will but I'm still nervous having to go pick Linds up after school and the roads. I don't mind driving in rain and snow but ice scares me.

Hope y'all are having a good day and be back later! :goodvibes

Just a quick note to say I am up and heading to Tink's school for drop off and a meeting. We'll see how much of my normal activities I can do without over extending myself. I am feeling much better, but still have a tough time breathing and am somewhat exhausted.
Take care Jen

Jo - I checked out your video and questions yesterday. :thumbsup2 Great job!
Thanks and I hope your tummy problems are better

Jo My question was answered , but I'm not sure by who??:confused3
I added more friends on FB I think But I also accidently ignored Jordan!!:scared1: Can I fix that ????
I'll have a look for it later and I think you can go to his FB page and ask Jordan to be your friend?!!??! Try it!

:goodvibes
V my girls say stuff like that too, along with I hate you etc!

Just remember you knew us first:rolleyes1
Don't worry I will

Jo, you have a grill in your oven? :confused3
I sure do, don't you?!??!?

Note to self: Bribing Aiden to do school for time on the Wii with dad or McD's works. :thumbsup2
:yay:

O.K... Don't Laugh ( too hard) Who is this kid??:confused3
I know now V said but I didn't oh and happy Smith day :rotfl2:

Keeping Evan home today, he's just not well enough to send to school. I'm worried his cough is going to become bronchitis.
Hope he gets better quick

I mean BBQ. What part of your oven is the grill? Is that the broiler? :confused3
If the broiler is what you cook stuff under to make it turn brown then yep :rotfl2:

I survived the gym. WHOA. They need a LOWER low-impact aerobics. I am woefully out of shape.
Oh Mel sorry but :rotfl:

I saw your question to Jo, BTW. :thumbsup2
And????? Was it OK? Did you see LL's? :rotfl2:

Off to pick up from ballet :wave2:

I didnt know you could make a cake in the crock pot? How?

Crock Pot Coconut Cake.

--cake mix (I used white cake)
--the ingredients the box tells you to use (butter, oil, eggs, etc.)--use the quantity the box tells you to
--can of coconut milk
--1 t. coconut extract (i skip this just cause I don't have it.

for use after baking:
--2 T powdered sugar
--sweetened shredded coconut
--cream cheese frosting (optional) (I used vanilla cause I had it in the fridge)

The Directions.

Follow the directions on the box for the amount of eggs and oil used. Instead of using milk or water for the liquid, use coconut milk. Make sure to shake the can really well, to mix the cream.
Add 1 tsp of coconut extract to the batter.
Save the rest of the can of coconut milk, we're going to use it later.

Spray your crockpot with cooking spray, and pour in batter (I added shredded coconut to the batter) . Cover and cook on high for 2-4 hours, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Our cake cooked perfectly in 2.5 hours on high. If you see a bunch of condensation on the lid, or if you'd prefer to vent with a toothpick, go for it. But I think it will take longer to cook, because a lot of the heat will escape through the lid-gap.

When the cake is finished, mix 1/2 cup of the reserved coconut milk with 2 T of powdered sugar. Poke holes in the hot cake with a skewer and pour the sweetened coconut milk over the top of the cake. If you are not going to frost, sprinkle on shredded coconut. If you are going to frost, save the coconut for later.

Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for about an hour, or for as long as you can stand it.

SO EASY...mine took and hour and a half because I used a small round crock. It's so moist its nuts!

Like I said to Dawn, I can't get into My Sims, but I just love Animal Crossing. :cloud9:

Did you check out gamefaqs.com? There are helpful hints but also cheat codes too lol.

Holy Hannah, it has been one crazy night at work. First I got hit by a campus wide power outage that lasted for 3 hours and resulted in my having to sort through over 300 alarms and a bazillion phone calls. Then once the power came back on we got a call about a huge steam leak in one of the residences. We had to evacuate the students, the ceilings were buckling from the water and the door frames were hot to the touch. OMG I am so glad I have the next two days off to recover!
\

Jeez! Glad it turned out ok. Take a long hot bath with a good book- you deserve it!!!!

I'm completely baffled about what's going on with me. I sleep great all night until about 4:30 am, then I'm wide awake and then the panic starts. Heart racing, mind whirring. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me! I got up with SD at 6, and as soon as he was on the bus, I took a 1/2 of a Xanax. I HATE medicine. I don't even like to take tylenol but I'm feeling so beat up by this!
I went back to bed for about 30 mins. and then got up with Gus. It's better now, and I'm hoping that going to the gym will just knock it out of me but why is this happening???

I get like that too. I sleep all wonky because I'm stressed I think. Half the time its stress you don't even realize you have but it effects you without you knowing. If we had insurance I would be running to a therapist! I think I talk more to you guys than anyone because I don't have a lot of friends I speak to like that, YKWIM? I have issues talking about my problems to people for some reason. Good luck with everything, you know we are all here for you!

Funny little story or at least to me and my warped mind.

Feel better!!!!

Morning! Just another day in Paradise... we're looking at an unseasonal high of 80 today!

But.

I'm stuck in an office all freaking day. Pfffft.

:goodvibes

:sad2: I wish it was 80. How could Leo ever think his mommy would be tired of him!?! Awww.

Good morning everyone. We are supposed to get sleet and snow this afternoon, just in time to make the drive home take FOREVER:headache: At work, not much going on otherwise.

HUSH your mouth lady! NO SNOW. It would be just my freakin luck that there would be a carp load of ice or whatever for me since I haven't left the house in days and am going to the city tomorrow.

O.K. Ladies... Fork over the Presents.....

It IS NATIONAL SMITH DAY !!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

No Really Seriously it is... Jodi Told me.. Then I found this......

Happy Smith Day to all the smiths!!!!!!!

That explains it. Never watched SATC!

:scared1: Greatest woman show EVER!

:teeth:

I'm a sucker for thin mints and those coconut ones...

################################

I'm up at a normal time today!!!! I forced KC into bed at about midnight since he worked 12 hours yesterday, so i was up reading until 2, but that sure beats the 4 and 5am nights!!! Wooo Hooo! Hopefully I can do this again tonight so I can actually get out tomorrow and have a nice day. I am going to apply at the book stores in the city. Part time out of the house would be good. Then it's Mary Poppins!

Not much going on today, finishing up the leftovers for dinner (ahhh for not having to cook) and going to catch up on my DVR (gossip girl & one tree hill).

have a great day everyone!!

Oh, it was good! I didn't look too far, so I didn't see LL's. I'll go look! I asked you one, but haven't heard that it was accepted yet. ;) (BTW, it says when you ask a question that they might not all get answered, so I think you're OK there...)

have a great day everyone!!

I'm glad you got some sleep, good luck tomorrow!

I figured, what to do with the 25 minutes the hair is "soaking in dye" than to get back on the computer? ;) :rotfl:

If the broiler is what you cook stuff under to make it turn brown then yep :rotfl2:

Oh Mel sorry but :rotfl:

As CE said, yep that's the one! We call it the broiler here, and the grill is the BBQ outside! I have a gas one, some people prefer charcoal. I actually am one of those, but it takes SO long!

I know. It's funny, right? The instructor said I did ok, but I was really hopelessly LOST when they did the step part. I must be aerobically learning disabled. NO MATTER how hard I paid attention I could not duplicate what she did on that dang thing! :sad2:

I get like that too. I sleep all wonky because I'm stressed I think. Half the time its stress you don't even realize you have but it effects you without you knowing. If we had insurance I would be running to a therapist! I think I talk more to you guys than anyone because I don't have a lot of friends I speak to like that, YKWIM? I have issues talking about my problems to people for some reason. Good luck with everything, you know we are all here for you!

I have been in therapy before, but it was 20 yrs ago! The experience with SD has been very helpful though. I am alot more open about talking things out with someone now that I've been thru his issues. I guess really, the motivation to feel BETTER is what's moving me!

Yay! No more vampire hours! I hope you get the job. I am thinking about doing that myself, but unfortunately I happen to live in the state with the highest unemployment in the country! Working in a bookstore sounds like a dream! :cloud9:

Right.

I'm off to get SD and the neighbor girl from the HS. I've felt pretty good all afternoon. HOWEVER, I can tell you that I am going to HURT tomorrow! Good thing that class isn't until Thurs. again! LOL....

The excercise is GOOD for the anxiety! :cool1: You can't possibly think about being stressed when you're trying to figure out those dang step aerobic thingys....

See you guys later! (I have to make some dentist appts. and stuff so I'll do that from the car! I like to multi-task!)
