Hand over that Mother of the Year award. I dropped Jimmy off at school at 8:10. At 8:35 I got a phone call...he threw up all over the classroom (apparently there was some projectile vomiting occurring:eek: ). I should have went with my first instinct and kept him home. He is now ensconsed on the couch watchin Diego and cuddling with his stuffed Donald Duck:sad2:

Oh, I hope Jimmy feels better, I think that has happened to most of us where we have sent them to school and then gotten that phone call, well at least I did.

If all goes as planned, we will be closing on our house when we get back from our trip. If we don't like the house tomorrow, then... Yikes! I have to figure out what to do.

Good luck on the house, I hope you like it.

Wow, you're so sweet, not to be rude but you don't lookold enough to have a son whos GF can have kids that age :goodvibes

Hopefully 24th to 28th September and definitely 12th to 22nd December at GF :woohoo:

I went to a coffee morning at the golf club today, last week the Lady Captain called me to see if I was going which I thought was strange, well I found out as I won a medal for the 4 best medal scores in the year :woohoo: So that was unexpected. I then had to sit through 2 hours of flower arranging though :scared: I don't mind a bit as it's interesting but it went on a bit too long, so long that it didn't give me enough time to play golf because I have to get Ells from school!

That isn't rude at all. My son is 20, his g/f is 27, she had her son young. She is a sweetie, I really adore her. She will love WDW. :goodvibes

OMG, we are going to be in WDW Dec. 13 - 20th :cool1: , wow I might get to see a Focker/Mom's Panel member. I will be on the look out to say hi if you don't mind.

Congrats on the medal!! Two hours of flower arranging?? I would have fallen asleep :rotfl:.

I'm freezing and ready for the warm weather to settle in.

I hope everyone has a great day and is on the mend.

I hope you got warm, I can't stand to be cold.

I have to go do some laundry even though I feel terrible. We are running out of socks and undies.
Take care, Fockers.

MEL

Mel, I am sorry you don't feel well, I hope you get better very soon.

Hello to everyone else.

============================================================

Well Bill and I had two trips to WDW scheduled this year, one in October, one in December. Last night we had a talk and decided to scale back to the one in December because we are taking my son, his g/f, and her two kids as our Christmas present to them. Bill is also talking about taking them on a fireworks cruise so we need to focus our money and my planning skills on that.

Part of me feels really sad :sad1:, the other part knows that is selfish when some people aren't getting to go this year. I will get over it.

I hope everyone is having a great day.

Popping back in for a bit. I'm t i r e d and having a very hard time writing. Wish I had some data entry or manual labor to do around here instead.

Janet - check with your credit cards, too. I know at least one of mine offers all sorts of deals with Hertz. :thumbsup2

I changed my May ADRs already. :rolleyes: Leo desperately wants to eat at Garden Grill... and with Gramma along on this one, I can avoid the characters and just play photographer. ;) So I canceled Kona and made one for GG. Rosie, there's one thing I know - I'll be in EP Fri. evening, lol!

Now I'm thinking about Aug. meals and having a very hard time narrowing the list down. :sad2:

KAT I seem to have lost your email so I need to write here, when I've reloaded Word etc onto my laptop it won't do it :headache: I've tried several times and it says the pass code is wrong, well I'm using the one that came with it and used when I first loaded it onto the laptop 2 years ago, the discs are 7 years old though :rotfl2: So anyway I know what a whiz KC is and how you get loads of stuff free do you know of any cheap ways to get an alternative to Word that still reads Word? Thanks :flower3:

Well I'm not "Kat".. BUT... I know a free program that allows you to read and use... Word, Excel, Powerpoint....

It's called "Open Office" I use it when I am not using Word Perfect.. sometimes I still need both.

Enjoying your mini-TR Z, I can't believe how insane the crowds were! :eek:

Thanks and yeah that wasn't the crowd level I expected.

I feel horrible. This is a bad cold. Just popping in to say hi to you guys. I'm going to get Gus to school and then I'm going back to bed.

Mel:banana:

:hug: Mel I hope you feel better soon.

Today is a lazy day for me. I've got nowhere to go.

Lazy days are always good :goodvibes
Hope DD feels better :hug:

question............ i'm going in sept. but also want to do girls weekend in oct. i have a package. will they let me pay extra to get annual pass?? if i did that, i would only have to pay for airfare and room. if we're sharing rooms, it won't cost too much.

::yes:: I think you even have up to 6 months after buying to upgrade so you can even upgrade in Oct when you get there. You know just in case the girls weekend thing doesn't pan out.

:eek: No flippin' WAY!!!

Look, the pineapples shrunk again! :rotfl:

::yes:: and ::yes:: :rotfl2:

Have a good time with your friend V!

Hand over that Mother of the Year award. I dropped Jimmy off at school at 8:10. At 8:35 I got a phone call...he threw up all over the classroom (apparently there was some projectile vomiting occurring:eek: ). I should have went with my first instinct and kept him home. He is now ensconsed on the couch watchin Diego and cuddling with his stuffed Donald Duck

Poor Jimmy :hug: . I love that he has a stuffed Donald. :teeth:

These are much bigger than I thought. But still kind of cute. ;)

::yes:: and heavy.

Z- love the mini-tr! It's making me excited for my trip! I'm going to need this trip now! :rotfl:

:goodvibes Thanks! It's almost here!

Wow where have all the people come from??? Love the use of whilst and sounds like a nice trip

:confused3 I was asking myself the same thing.

Yay!!! Congrats Jo! :woohoo:

OK everyone I'm in panic mode. I just got a rate from AirTran for $59 each way for our August trip:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: THe panic part comes in becasue now I need to rent a car. WHere is the best place to find codes for car rental? Mousesavers? If I book something now and then find a better deal, will I be able to change the ressie? HEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPP!

carrentals.com You can get a Nissan Versa for $291 (w/ taxes) Cheapest was a Hyundai Accent for $228 (w/ taxes). I've always used Thrifty since they were the cheapest.

I'm packing. This is starting to feel real... :guilty:

Think happy thoughts. Nothing but good times ahead. :goodvibes

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Not much going on with me today. I think I'm gonna clean and organize my room and the spare room that we just fixed the closet for.

TTYL!!

Thanks Katt I'm downloading now :thumbsup2

Tracy (MrsK) how cool, we'll have to "bump" into each other ;) My DH is going to kill me if I arrange DIS meets :rotfl:

V I'm not surprised :rotfl:

Hi Fockers!

Thanks for al the get better wishes! :grouphug: I'm actually feeling better today and have been busy around the house. It looks like a disaster area so I'm trying to get it back to looking like normal. DR decided to take a nap on the couch so I decided to get on here real quick and play catch up.

Mel - Feel better soon :hug:

Janet - Hope Jimmy starts feeling better soon!

Jo - Congrats on the medal for golf!

Dawn - Good Luck with the packing. When I was with my ex we moved around a lot due to his work and I was so happy that with our last 2 moves they hired a moving company to come pack us up and move it all.

*******************************************

Lindsey's appointment with the psychologist went well yesterday. She said she sees no sign of hyperactivity or ADD/ADHD but does see signs of an adjustment issue. Between our moving from TX to OH, my moms death, the divorce, and going from preschool to all day Kindy its just kind of been one change from the next for her in about a 2 year time span. Everything has pretty much setlled down, but will most likely start all over again come this summer when she goes to her dads and then I'll be starting back to school in the fall. So, we need to work on some issues with that. And, Lindsey is a drama queen and likes to be the center of attention (she is so like her father in more ways than one :sad2: :laughing: ). So we need to work on focusing how to behave in class where she's not the center of attention and disrupt the class for it. Plus, have the same things happen at home. So, we'll see how things go and work out. In a way I think WTH am I doing sending my child to a psychologist when these things can easily be fixed by me (well maybe not so easily but over time) but on the other hand she was acting out for a reason and all things I can not take on by myself. :confused3 So, we'll just wait and see.

Not much else to report on my end. I think I hear DR waking up so I'm going to check on him and walk down to the store real quick before Linds gets home from school. I'm making meatloaf and mac-n-cheese for dinner and am out of eggs and milk.:sad2:

Hope everyone is having a good day!:goodvibes

Are you going to keep them home full time again now that you're moving or do you think you'll look for a co-op in Austin? (Austin, right?)

Oooh, good question about the HS? Dawnpopcorn::

Well, I'm a little bummed about that. Luckily, I have HS friends there who know about the resources offered. There's several places that you can pay and your child goes one day a week, then does the homework all week at home. Right now I'm thinking that's what I do with Baylie only. I'll have Aiden and Camryn home all day with me. The course are more $, though. :headache: I'm worried about things costing more there. :guilty:

Yes Janet it can be HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE.. But usually they panic at the end and you can get great deals. But you have to check every week.. especially the last 2 months before the trip. The last 2 weeks before I check all of them every day.

You can also down grade. I'll keep a look out for you for deals on my end. This IS FOR AUGUST ... RIGHT ??

Yep, August....Thanks!:goodvibes

Oh, I hope Jimmy feels better, I think that has happened to most of us where we have sent them to school and then gotten that phone call, well at least I did.

I know, but it still makes me feel awful. He must be feeling better though he asked me for candy:lmao:

Janet - check with your credit cards, too. I know at least one of mine offers all sorts of deals with Hertz. :thumbsup2

I thought of that too! Thanks:thumbsup2

:lmao: We are doing GG on your recommendation...and the fact that it's the only character meal with Chip and Dale anymore:sad2:

Now I'm thinking about Aug. meals and having a very hard time narrowing the list down. :sad2:[/QUOTE]

Poor Jimmy :hug: . I love that he has a stuffed Donald. :teeth:

He actually has 3 of them. One he got for Christmas, one he got at the Philharmagic dump shop, and one I got him at World of Disney in NYC...he is dressed as an NY FIrefighter:goodvibes

carrentals.com You can get a Nissan Versa for $291 (w/ taxes) Cheapest was a Hyundai Accent for $228 (w/ taxes). I've always used Thrifty since they were the cheapest.

Thanks I will check them out too!:thumbsup2

My DH is going to kill me if I arrange DIS meets :rotfl:

I can't imagine why:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Sounds like she's got alot going on in her little head that she might just need the doctor to help her work out:hug:

It will all work out the way it is supposed too.:hug:

I changed my May ADRs already.

Now I'm thinking about Aug. meals and having a very hard time narrowing the list down. :sad2:

:rolleyes: Speaking of ADRs I need some good new places to eat in March.

We're doing CP for Breakfast since it's my friend Yani's birthday and she loves the puffy french toast. I'm still debating on getting the DDP and a lot of the places I've been dying to try are 2TS and/or expensive if off the DDP.

Soo..... Here's my maybe's:

Spoodles
The Wave
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Maya Grill
Chefs de France

Cali Grill (2TS)
Narcoossees (2TS)
Yachtsman Steakhouse (2 TS)
Hollywood Brown Derby (2TS)

Open to suggestions.....
I already tried to get ressie's for Ohana but there was nothing before 9pm.

Forgot to mention...

I got my Dinsey Movie Club movies today in the mail. :woohoo: We got some Princess Stories movie, Cars, The Incredibles, A Bug's Life, Air Buddies, and something else...The Aristocats.

I guess I know what we'll be doing tonight.

Spoodles
The Wave loved it
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Maya Grill
Chefs de France had mac & cheese last week, yum!

These are obviously some of my faves.
Cali Grill (2TS) :thumbsup2
Narcoossees (2TS):thumbsup2
Yachtsman Steakhouse (2 TS) want to try
Hollywood Brown Derby (2TS) :thumbsup2

V I'm not surprised :rotfl:
Me neither! :rotfl:

:lmao: We are doing GG on your recommendation...and the fact that it's the only character meal with Chip and Dale anymore:sad2:
I really, really like the place! Good food and I just enjoy being in the LWTL ride. But I don't do characters - they freak me out!

Soo..... Here's my maybe's:

Spoodles meh - it was just so-so
The Wave Yum!
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Maya Grill NOOO!!! Worst. Meal. Ever. :sad2:
Chefs de France been a while, but we enjoyed

Cali Grill (2TS) super yum!
Narcoossees (2TS) yum!
Yachtsman Steakhouse (2 TS) okay
Hollywood Brown Derby (2TS) Yes!
My opinions are in red - and I'm going through the same thing; trying to branch out and try some new (or at least new to Leo) places.

Oooh, sharing rooms was not worked into the equation earlier. May have to reconsider the Columbus Weekend thing:rolleyes1

I'd be willing to use some DVC points and get a studio at OKW for the weekend! We usually rent out our extra points at $10, so we can work some kind of payment out based on points used and how many people are sharing....

Poor Jimmy! Luckily, I've never been called for either of my kids, but right before Christmas, I sent DD5 to preschool and when I went to her Christmas party, I could tell that she had a fever. We stayed for the end of the party and then I took her to the doctor and found out she had strep! I still feel bad for all the other kids in her class. I'm hoping that none of them developed it!

OK everyone I'm in panic mode. I just got a rate from AirTran for $59 each way for our August trip:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: THe panic part comes in becasue now I need to rent a car. We've used credit card points for the past few car rentals we've had. But I tend to agree with Katt. Just keep checking. It doesn't cost anything to reserve a car and cancel it/rebook as many times as necessary to get the best deal!

I'm packing. This is starting to feel real... :guilty:

You can do it, Dawn!

Have I mentioned that I hate toys? :headache: Aiden busted me taking some of his toys to the trash and garage sale piles.

I also wonder if he'd be too mad if all the stupid Webkinz didn't show up at the new house. :rolleyes:

I know exactly how you feel, Dawn! When I cleaned up and organized the playroom right after Christmas, I conveniently made a bunch of things disappear. Maybe the movers can lose some things??? :rotfl2:

~~~~~~~~~~
Well, DD5 is definitely feeling better today. She's been playing on my computer the majority of the afternoon, so I've been working on some scrapbook pages. I finished doing the financials for the PTO meeting tonight and also dyed my hair. Now, it's almost time for DD7 to get home from school. I've got to do homework with her and then my in-laws are picking them up to take them out to dinner while I'm at the board meeting. Then, they'll drop the girls off at school for the general PTO meeting (we provide babysitting). When we get home, I'll be watching Biggest Loser, so I don't know if I'll be back on later tonight. If not, I hope everyone has a great night!
I think I found a rental car. $212 for 10 days (including all the taxes and fees and stuff!). NOw I just have to wait for Jim to come home and talk numbers with him. Since we basically won't be eating dinner tonight (I'd feel too guilty eating anything real in front of Jimmy) we can do that until he goes to bed.
COlumbus Weekend - Jodi very generous offer on the DVC points. :goodvibes I'd also be willing to throw in my mother's CM room discount, 40% as long as it is not a blackout period. I'd have to check!
So, my DH got his bonus last week and I've been trying to figure out how to spend it! I've already decided on the carpeting, but then I thought about getting a Wii so that I can play with all of you!
DH gets his tomorrow. We are being mostly practical with it. Getting the garage door fixed, using some for our June Disney trip, maybe some for the October Disney trip, rest going in savings.
Hand over that Mother of the Year award. I dropped Jimmy off at school at 8:10. At 8:35 I got a phone call...he threw up all over the classroom
Yuck. ds said someone threw up on the bus yesterday.
Morning...
Kirt brought me boxes last night, so I'm cleaning up and packing a few things. If all goes as planned, we will be closing on our house when we get back from our trip.
that seems fast!
l I found out as I won a medal for the 4 best medal scores in the year :woohoo:
That's fantastic!
We are running out of socks and undies.
MEL
Sometimes that happens in our house, too.
OK everyone I'm in panic mode. I just got a rate from AirTran for $59 each way for our August trip!
Great rate! no advice for the car rental.
Well Bill and I had two trips to WDW scheduled this year, one in October, one in December.
I'm working on Angry Troy for an October trip for Food & Wine. I'm hoping to incorporate it into Girls weekend, if no one cares. I can ditch him a little. :rotfl2: He also fits in with the girls really well, but I don't want him to crash.
Tracy (MrsK) how cool, we'll have to "bump" into each other ;) My DH is going to kill me if I arrange DIS meets :rotfl:
Is he getting tired of meeting the Fockers? :lmao:
Thanks everyone for the get well wishes. I'm sure they'll start working any time now! Bob called and emailed me a pic from the entrance to DL! He's in the Happy Place. He was grabbing lunch in between meetings at La Brea Bakery. I'm sitting at the computer with kleenex actually STUFFED up my nose. It hurts too much to keep wiping/blowing and it won't stop running!
Gus just cleaned the bunny cage again. He's a very neat little guy and only pees in one corner. That makes the clean up easier. He is in my kitchen for now so he'll be cleaned every day. (I can't smell anything right now but I don't want bunny pee smell!!!) He is absolutely adorable though. Gus thinks he's very smart. (Not sure what makes him think this...?)
V: I haven't tried GG but I think I will after all your reviews!
Dawn: Don't over do it today!
Janet: I have always made a reservation and then modified multiple times as prices went down.
Z: We loved The Wave when we ate there during FF2008. You know I love Narcoosees. I haven't tried the others, I don't think. :confused3 I think SD ate at Spoodles while we were at BW in June. He liked it.
Lori: Yum Meatloaf!
I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. I'm sorry! :wave2: to you all!!!!
I'm making pasta and garlic breadsticks. I can't taste it though....
