I am totally cracking up about you guys chatting about me while I wasn't around... I really love you guys! It's so nice to have so much support!

The news is....

  I GOT THE JOB!!!!

I got the call earlier this afternoon! I start tomorrow. It's mainly sitting at a desk, answering phones and taking orders. I think I even get a computer to work on so that means I can DIS from work LOL. It'll only be me in the store on the days I work (tues, thurs & sat). I go in at 9am for training tomorrow. Best part- he said "dress comfortably" so I can wear jeans and sneakers!

Not much else going on tho. We went and ran a few errands, did some laundry. I made some peanut butte bread for breakfasts this week and some pork chili for tomorrow's dinner since I have no idea how long I'm training for.

I'm headed into the shower and get myself together for the morning, but I'll be back later im sure. Again, thanks everyone for the support, it really means a lot to me!

Then I was thinking Boma since it is someplace that Jim and I have been wanting to try, but I don't know if they have a kids menu:confused3 My other thought was ESPN, but I don't think that is on the DDP.
ESPN is so much fun if a game you like is on, but the food leaves much to be desired. I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Boma, though... We all love the place, Leo, too! He says their meatballs are the best he's ever had :rotfl:

Oh, and I think I know someone who will go on that coaster with you. :thumbsup2
WOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!! I've been hoping someone in your tribe would coaster with me! :thumbsup2

But I have to admit - and I can't tell you how painful this is - Gwaazi, the wooden coaster, actually hurt me, for the first time ever. Crap, I'm getting old!

We are now looking at the 9th to the 16th. Taking advantage of the 7 for 4 if they extend it and getting our of dodge before free dining starts, which is rumored to start on the 16th!
::yes:: Stay away from the free dining!

The news is....

  I GOT THE JOB!!!!

Yay Kat!!! :yay: :woohoo: :cool1:

Feeling remarkable lazy for someone who didn't do a dang thing all day....

Kat: Congrats on the job! That's great news. I hope that your first day is great!

V: Your pics were so nice. We loved BG when we went last Xmas. Bob and I both remarked on how Leo's face has thinned out. He's getting bigger, Momma! It's funny how fast they grow up! (Oh, and great news on the men's room. It was a big milestone here too!)

Janet: Haven't had Tony's but I'd trust the girls who said bad things! We LOVE Chef Mickey's and have eaten breakfast there at every single WDW trip except this last one. I had dinner this time and we both agreed NO WAY NEVER EVER AGAIN! OMG, the kids were all wild and exhausted and whiny! (Not mine, the other people's....) One kid PUNCHED Mickey Mouse. Gus was so upset he said that should be a crime. :scared1: We all love Boma, even my picky eaters. (Oh, and I cannot say enough for Flame Tree BBQ. Though it's counter service.....)

Lori: Hi, I had the same day you had! LOL. Glad it was a good one.

CE: Hi honey. Glad you had a good night. Hope you get some more steady sleep tonight!

Dawn: Where are you? :cool1:

JO: Yay on the coupon. Yes, the Valentine's for everyone does sort of "dilute" the love but it's a tradition. I remember it from my childhood too. Gus hasn't mentioned getting his yet, but I'm sure he will....

Gluv, Kate, Rosie, and everyone else.....HELLO!!!! :wave2:

((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))
Well, I did ONE load of laundry, made pancakes this morning, took Gus to the library, read some of my book, played Battleship with SD, took SD driving :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: and made chili for dinner.
We all played Scattergories after dinner for about an hour and a half. Now Gus is watching The Three Amigos, I'm on here and Bob and SD are gaming. It was a lovely, lazy day today. Tomorrow Bob is taking a mental health day! YAY! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Hopefully this includes taking me to lunch....:rolleyes1

What are you guys doing?

MEL:banana:

Totally forgot to tell this from our BG day...

I've been trying to let Leo use the Men's room as much as possible when we're out and about.

OMG! This same happened when we were at AKL. I let him go to the bathroom by himself and then worried that he didn't find it on his own and started panicking. I went to the door and waited and waited. I had to get someone to go in and ask if he was in there. He was.

Janet - I totally agree on the Tony's thing. It is the worst meal I ever had at WDW.

V- Great pictures! It looks like a fun time was had by all!

Kat- Congrats! That's great!!! :thumbsup2

Mel- Your banana's back!
I got home and started working on my touring plans for the trip. I ordered the glass slipper dessert too! :yay:

Okay- I'm tired so I'm heading to watch my Sunday shows. G'night everyone! :upsidedow

What about me?! Keep me posted - mine won't change, but you never know when I might be able to pop over!

Never Mind me... and nobody does.

.... I think I need a new Title.. "The Invisible Focker..."

Totally forgot to tell this from our BG day...

I've been trying to let Leo use the Men's room as much as possible when we're out and about. So the couple times he needed to go yesterday, I let him do that. First time was fine; only one other boy went in and Leo was in and out quickly so I didn't panic. Second time, it was a busier spot, but had no door, jsut an open entrance, so I stood right outside. After both Gramma and I had taken turns in teh ladies' room and still no sign of Lao, I called in...
"LEO! Are you okay?"
"Yeah!"

Wait some more.

"LEO - c'mon, let's go!"
"Okay Mommy!"

After, no joke, 15 minutes I asked a dad coming out "Excuse me..." That's all I got out before he said, "Yep, he's in there. I heard you call him - he's in a stall, so I think he might need some more time."

Leo finally came out and was completely embarrassed. We talked and he's totally ready to be using the mens' rooms; apparently I just need to let go of my baby a little. :guilty:

At least Leo was Ok and you knew he was as he answered you from inside the bathroom.

Happy Ending ... Horror Story Here

This goes back probably 5 years... maybe 6. We were at Kings Dominion Near Richmond Va ( Paramount Theme Park) Joshua had to go to the Bathroom and was now at the age that I really did not need to be taking him to the ladies room and Scott was having a Caricature done of him for his Website...
I too Joshua to the Mens room and told him to come out when he was finished... MOST of the restrooms have entrence/Exit... NOT THIS ONE...

I call in to The restroom after a few minutes because I KNEW something was wrong.. and I was about to march myself in there.. and a guy came out... so I asked him if there was anybody else in there... specifically a little boy and I gave a description of Joshua and what he was wearing.. "nope.. it's empty in there"
I walk in and sure enough.. it's empty and Joshua is not there and THERE IS ANOTHER EXIT...I look out of it and Thereis no Joshua to be seen.

I run out to Scott.. tell him what has happened.. and how are we going to find Joshua is this huge Park... If a Stranger asked him to go with them he would and ... You all know the thoughts going through my head....

Before the Cast Member could even pick up her phone to put out a call for a missing kid with Autism... here comes Joshua.. walking through the Vine covered Tunnel way... smiling and happy... No Idea He is LOST... No Idea that he had just scared me nearly to death. Yet Somehow he turned himself back around to the right side of the park.. walking back through that Tunnel straight towards us.

Hi Girls! :wave2:

Sorry I've been MIA, got lots to do this week with V-day coming (NO-V ;))
I made 40 Valentine goodie baskets, helped the kids with their cards and tomorrow I have to bake cupcakes for our Brownie Valentine Party. Add that to some WDW planning, talking to MS for almost an hour (poor CM!) and tonight I have a house full of kids! :faint:

So how are you all? :goodvibes

I just read the last 2 pages, so forgive me if I missed anything important. :flower3:

Garden Grill for Dinner
50's Prime Time for Dinner
Crystal Palace for Dinner
Sci Fi for Lunch
Kona for Breakfast (On check out day. I ain't missing this one this time)
Ooh.. thanks for the reminder.. gotta add Kona on our last day, too!
Any other suggestions. I am flip flopping on Chef Mickey's. We are thinking TRex, but that is that DDP place? If we do Chef Mickey's it would be for dinner on arrival night and that leaves me with one more TS credit. If we don't do Chef Mickey's I would do HDDR on our break day (earliest possible seating) and that is 2 TS credits.
We're doing Chef Mickey's for the 1st time - (Evan's birthday party), too Janet.

:cheer2: I just ordered a glass slipper dessert for the girls to celebrate their birthday while we are at 1900 Park Faire! :cheer2:

I'm just over here creating magic! pixiedust:
Ahhh.. how sweet. I've got to order a special cake for Evan oh and thanks to Jo's Mom's Panel question, I'm ordering the Mickey Birthday Surprise for him. I can't WAIT! :hyper:
Leo finally came out and was completely embarrassed. We talked and he's totally ready to be using the mens' rooms; apparently I just need to let go of my baby a little. :guilty:
It's hard, isn't it?
BTW, I saw your pics - love them! I'm thinking of adding that to our trip next year. It's cheaper to fly into Tampa anyway. :teeth:
Well, the way I have it planned right now I have 3 days with out possible TS meals. 2 no park days and AK day. I was looking at Tambu in AK for lunch maybe and Chef Mickey's for either check in day or our break/no park day. Then I was thinking Boma since it is someplace that Jim and I have been wanting to try, but I don't know if they have a kids menu:confused3 My other thought was ESPN, but I don't think that is on the DDP.
My kids loved Boma and the meatballs are the best on property! :thumbsup2

Hi Mel

Help needed Saratoga Springs Ladies!

My friend will be in WDW at the same time as me and is staying in a 2 bedroom @ Saratoga Springs. I know a few of you are old pros at that resort!

What are the best buildings to request? Close to main buildings, bus stops (not last one) and main pool.

How about refillable mugs? She WANTS a mug.:) She really is excited to buy a mug, but are the refill areas few and far between with that large of a resort?

I'm hardly a pro, Jen, but JMO, I really liked the Grandstand for numerous reasons...

1. First Bus stop - so you'll always have a seat and your the first stop back from the parks.
2. Themed pool with a bar. Refillable mugs can be used there.
3. Close enough to the Carriage House.
4. A great place if you don't have a car.

My second request would be The Springs area.
1. Close to the main theme pool, & Carriage House.

HTH! :goodvibes

Fabulous resort!! :cloud9: Not very Disney themed, but it feels like a vacation when your there. IMO

We stayed in the Paddock, kinda far and only a quiet pool nearby.

I agree with T about Grandstand though, that's the one in front of the other themed pool (not main pool) but it's really nice. Kinda far from Main Building though.

What else ya wanna know. The 2BR comes with a fully loaded kitchen w/ all kinds of utensils, pots, pans, dishwasing liquid, paper towels, etc. I even think it comes w/ a little box of laundry detergent since it has a washer/dryer. Which comes in very handy to do :laundy: and leave WDW with clean clothes. ;)

Mousekeeping doesn't come every day, they designate a day though. But there are extra trash bags and stuff and she can always call and request extra towels etc.

Hi Guys!!

Checking in really quick from work!! :ssst:

I've only read this page

Congrats Kat!!!!!! (on the job and posts) :yay: :yay:

Ok gotta get back to work.

:hippie:

Looks like everyone had a decent weekend.

Lori - Congrats to Linds for her good behavior!

Lessa - I am sorry to hear about your old school mate. Even if you aren't close it is a very shocking thing.

Jo - Sorry about your weather. Mother Nature is playing a very cruel joke on the middle and eastern US right now. 50 and 60 degree F weather is not common at this time of the year. I know it will not stick around for long.
$$$$$$ Let us know what you get with the free money!

CE - Hi!! Sounds like couple's night went well. I hope you are feeling better now.

Katt - Poor SB, all wound up with no where to go. I wish her luck.

V - How bad were the drunken pirates? pirate: Great pictures. Leo's growing up!!! (I freak out when Doug is in there too long and he's 36.:lmao: )

Mel - MMMM, Strongbow. Nascar, whoo-hoo! :drive:

Kat - Congratulations !!! On the job and the 4,000 posts!
Nice mini-TR for AC.

T - Have fun with the V-day stuff. You are one busy momma!

Hi to those I didn't mention or see.

*************************************************************

One of my friends at work just lost her mother on Friday morning. She lost her son almost 1 year ago. Some people can't seem to catch a break. I'll be going to the viewing. We don't know when it is sceduled yet.

On the work front - Things at my plantsite are being moved. Serveying and title work are being updated. People are being moved. A lot of people are visiting. We are to 'respect their privacy'. In other words 'no talky to them.' The majority of the workforce believes that the news of this facility being sold will come at the end of this month. All kinds of rumors of severence and sign on packages. This could be good or bad. I just want it over with so I know where I stand. Our bonus checks come out on the 4th of March I'm looking forward to that, although it is going in the bank. It will help make up for the deficit that Max's operation created.

Hope that Monday is good for all!

Z & T (and anyone else up)- What about the main pool? How far away is it from your suggestions? What is the themed pool, what is that like? I know that they would prefer to be at least semi close to the pool with the "grotto" (is that correct?). Her kids will want to swim most days during their break or when they return.

As for mousekeeping- if she is staying via a regular reservation (not via DVC) will she get mousekeeping daily?

Kristel- I will send positive vibes your way. I can only imagine the uncertainty. Sucks!

Awww... to you and Leo. I am not looking foward to this day when it comes with DR. I'll let Lindsey go by herself every now and then but I know I can go in after her if I have to but I have no idea what I'll do with DR.

The news is....

  I GOT THE JOB!!!!

That's awesome news Kat! CONGRATS! :yay:

I just hit 4,000 posts!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

took SD driving :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: MEL:banana:

:scared1: How did that go? I can remember when my dad first started teaching me to drive. He got in the car once, maybe twice, with me and after that decided I needed a driving teacher. :rotfl: I can parallel park wonderfully thanks to this teacher though!

[Happy Ending ... Horror Story Here]

Oh man Katt, that is a scary story but so glad he had found his way back to you!

Lori - Congrats to Linds for her good behavior!

Thank you! :goodvibes She was very proud of herself! I just hope it will continue. Good Luck with work.

Hi Kristel  So sorry to hear of your friends mother's passing. What a heart break with her son and now her mother.

Sending good vibes on the work front - hopefully you'll get a nice sign on bonus! :goodvibes

The main pool is a good walking distance from the Grandstand. Not too far, and you know how much I love to walk. :rolleyes1 My opinion on the main Themed pool is that it can get pretty crowded, so having that 2nd themed pool near your room is great!
The 2nd pool is just a retangulared shaped pool with a bar about 20 paces from the waters edge. There is a water feature for the kids - race horses that squirt water. (My kids LOVED it there!)
As for mousekeeping- if she is staying via a regular reservation (not via DVC) will she get mousekeeping daily?
If she's a cash account, she'll get mousekeeping daily. :thumbsup2

checking in again. oh when will i be able to chat daily??? hopefully soon!! finished my bedroom today. still have to finish kitchen, kids rooms, office, and hang up pictures!! exhausting! i'll post pics when we're done.

so i read a little

love the pics of bg , v!
