Neck deep? Heck--my horses are stuck in snow and no sign of the little goats .....it keeps snowing too.......poor Daran got up at 5 to scrape the driveway and he took my Explorer down the driveway so I could get to work later on.
No snow in Salem???? I think this came from TN area.

Since the snow systems are coming mostly West to East.. those Mountains keep protecting us..

My laptop is still dead, not sure who to take it to though There's still lots of snow but D and I managed a very slippery walk this morning, it was nice to get some fresh air!

IS there really any such things an a "WORKING LAPTOP" Scott has to use them on the road and he has always called them "toy's" yeah they are "BETTER" than they used to be.. but still

Katt, the current temp here is 55 and that's expected to be our high today. Down to 31 tonight. I'm moderated a bit by the Gulf, though, so I think we can expect 20s inland!

I just saw "Blizzard Beach" was closed due to the weather.
Oh come on.. that would be total "realism" true snow.. melting....

I've been reading, just haven't been in the mood to post. Got to deal with some stuff on the home front and well ... you know how that goes.

Hi everyone! I'm home from work again today, but sick still...this cold has been hanging in since Jan 15th. I started antibiotics last Thurs and they don't seem to be doing anything besides making me nauseous so I stopped taking them yesterday and I still feel kinda nauseous. I took a vac day from work yesterday cuz it was my birthday and I felt too sick to do anything, plus, it was snowing all day and most of the night. DF is going to take me out to dinner when we both feel better. (I gave him the cold last week and he still has it, too) but I think the worst thing yesterday was finding out first thing in the morning that one of my cats has hyperthyroidism. The dr's going to call back today when she gets the rest of the results back, but she's pretty certain they will also show thyroid problems...if so, she wants to start him on low-dose thyroid meds - she said I caught it early enough that it's in the beginning stages. From what I've read on line, when cats are on thyroid meds, they likely need to take them 1-3x a day for the rest of their lives. I'm already worrying about who can give him his meds when I'm on vacation, at work, or long weekends away, etc. Has anyone else had a cat with hyperthyroidism? Since coming back from the vets on Wed., my other cat is treating him like he's the enemy, hissing at him, scratching him when he walks by and she'll sit at a distance and just stare at him for long periods of time.

That happens around here frequently... being sick or recovering from surgery on the birthday's​

. Has anyone else had a cat with hyperthyroidism? Since coming back from the vets on Wed., my other cat is treating him like he's the enemy, hissing at him, scratching him when he walks by and she'll sit at a distance and just stare at him for long periods of time.

The other cat may just not like the Vet smell I HAVE had that issue.. after a "BATH" all was o.k

Sounds yummy! What's in it?

I've posted it before, but it's super easy. 3-4 chicken breasts, 1 medium onion, chopped, 2 cans cream of chicken soup. Throw that all in, put enough water to cover it. 8-10 hours on low or 5-6 on high. With 30 minutes left, crank it to high and put in some uncooked egg noodles - I use less than a whole 12 oz. bag - and let it be.

Nope, the boys take yoga. It's a free class for them at our gym, and they love it.

Not much new here. Leo has a little cold and skipped his riding lesson last night - just wasn't up to it and it was windy and cold to boot.

I just got an email this morning from one of the twin moms, live from the BC. She was hoping I might be able to pick them up from the airport on Monday - their ride fell through. I can't. But, maybe D can. Anyway, she said it was certainly too cold for the pool today, but they've been having fun, anyway. Apparently got caught in pouring rain at DHS on Monday - huh. Been there, done that...

Sorry about your cat, too. My MIL's had issues, had to be hydrated via IV tubes every day at home, lots of medicines, etc. It got to be a lot, sorry to say.

Yes, at least a one-day ticket. I was pricing things using a 1-day ticket for each person (which I'd convert to APs) and came up with $271/night for the Poly, $203/night for WL as samples over a 7-night stay, minus the tickets.

Where did you buy it? A lot of electronics stores will repair even if items weren't bought there. When mine died last year, I took it to a local guy (sorry) who was quite good, and he at least could get the info off it.

It's 2 years old, I got in on my Birthday so almost exactly 2 years. I need to find someone to fix it, it does get a lot of use though so I've had my moneys worth

Busy, crazy day here! Running Tink from dance to playdate, dropped dinner to our friend who lost his wife, School District meeting after school and need to prep to teach my first Art Adventure class tomorrow to my DS's 1st grade class. YIKES! All the while I am researching grants for Literacy and playgrounds... getting ready to kick off our school fundraiser next Friday and seller packets for our Tinks Preschool Kids sale go on sale next week (which I am also chairing). No wonder why I can't catch up with you all!!!!! I can't catch up with MYSELF!
