Good Morning all. Jimmy slept in this morning (7:45 ). I put my navy bean and ham soup into the crockpot to cook, went to the grocery store, talked to my mother, and am doing laundry. All in all a productive morning

So The Soul of Shoalin was really neat. I went for KC mainly but I enjoyed it as well. KC said it best- it was like watching a live Kung Fu movie. He loved it so that made it worth it.

We had some BBQ dinner before the show and did a bit of strolling in NYC. Then afterward we went to a bar/lounge place downtown but it was really crowded and we ended up leaving early and coming home. It was a nice day tho.

Sounds like a great night!

Janet - The museum looked like a great time....that statue of liberty pic cracked me up!!!

My Mem. Day Wknd. conundrum has been resolved! I'm so stupid sometimes... I'd been thinking I'd use DVC points for Aug., Dec. and Halloween. But it occurred to me Fri. afternoon that Halloween's on a Sat., so I need to stay Fri. and Sat. - TOO many points! So, instead, I'm using points for Aug., Dec., and Mem. Day Wknd. (Sat. & Sun. or Sun. & Mon. nights) and I'll pay cash for Halloween. I don't know where I'll be in May yet (I emailed a ressie request and gave 3 options, so we'll see what they come up with), but it's in process, at least!

Look for me all afternoon...

OK, so what I thought would happen did, my Fibro is flaring, without being able to treadmill, I feel like carp. Add to that the last few weeks of year end at work and well, I'm a mess. My foot is OK with a shoe, I can feel some tenderness in the heel still, without a shoe, forget it. I go back to the Dr. tomorrow for he next shot in the other foot, but he said something about doing some ultrasound on this one if not better. UGH!

Namath is getting his stitches out Tuesday, but I think something is up with him and it scares me. Yesterday at Murph's he went after Rocky, it was bad, I ended getting bit. Namath is the imp, Murph calls him Mr. Happy go lucky, he never gets mad or shows stubborness like the others. I couldn't believe it. THen again today I heard a bit of a fight when I was in the other room, not like yesterday but still, so not like Namath. I wonder if he isn't feeling good. He's eating and everything else seems normal. I'll mentioned at the appointment Tuesday.

You know when people say they really need a vacation, well, I REALLY NEED A VACATION!!! 2 weeks from now I will be in my happy place...

Not sure all of the extent of what going on in your head, but I do know that taking a break helps (pills too). Don't forget to get some sun or vit. D pills. Important in the winter months.

Jo- Are you going to give a report on your London trip?

Mo- Have you changed your shoes indoors? I recently was made to switch to a Haflinger Clog type thing to wear indoors. Haflinger Clog My physical therapist was here last night (he is a friend) and I tried super hard not to limp in front of him. Ultrasound feels amazing!!! Also he does some kind of electric zapping thing on my heel to zap in a med, which is starting to work. The shots did nothing for me. I shouldn't say nothing... they hurt like heck!

We had a nice time last night. The one boy I was worried about literally walked into my house with 2 Wii games in hand and said... "Excuse me... Where is your Wii?" Then he took over the Wii until it was time to eat. He ate, then took over the Wii until I started a movie for everyone.

I am cooking a brisket right now and hope it turns out well. The kids are in the basement with daddy... CLEANING! and playing, "were going to Disney World!" too cute!

D's on the phone with his mom - his stepdad fell down their (ridiculously steep) stairs for the second time in a month, blacking out both times. He's still in the hospital for observation, and they think it might be a cardiac problem/blood pressure issue. They've been talking about moving for years - it's really time. The house is gorgeous, but has nothing in the lower level that could be a bedroom, and the stairs are wooden and 16, and steep. Sigh.

Is there a history of Heart / blood pressure issues ? Or has he had trouble with balance ??

Oh, very cool! I'm sure I've asked before, but how long does it take you to get to London?

Under an hour, we drive about 20 minutes to the train station, we have one a few minutes from us but it costs tons more, then it's about 30 minutes to central London!

Well........good news and bad news.........
Good---I got my hearing aid back yesterday!
Bad--- my hearing has went down another 15% in my left ear--now low in the "speaking" range and very low in "low range", (I kinda knew it had went down, but thought maybe my hearing aid wasn't quite right). BUt she was able to adjust it to my new low level.

Yay and oh no

I ended up picking up the little girl who didn't RSVP and taking her anyway.

Jo- I have actually had haggis before, and it wasn't so bad but because I know whats in it I couldn't eat more than a bite. The veggie one sounds good! Have a great time at Cirque!!!

Well last night was fun, I've just found out that I was in the National paper the Sun yesterday, not sure how I'll get it and Cirque was good too. Lost is on so I'll update tomorrow

But we've been noticing he seems "older" lately in general.

He had colon cancer earlier, but I think he's always been very "heart fit" so to speak. He did Atkins a few years back and D's mom was sure there's be cholesterol issues, but he was fit as a fiddle. But we've been noticing he seems "older" lately in general.

Maybe it's a smple imbalance problem... hopefully he is not having "mini-strokes"
Mom was having those smiliar things happen and they said she was having small strokes.
