Great pics Janet! That looks like so much fun. Glad you guys had a good time.

Z, I know! It's going to be here QUICK!

CE: Sorry you don't want to go out tonight. I have that feeling alot about going out. Especially if it's when Bob is finally home. I'm selfish, I want to stay home with him ALONE! Hope you have fun anyway!

***********
Well, we had chinese food for dinner. That was easy, and I didn't have to cook. All today I had intended to cook a meal but when it came right down to it, I just didn't feel like it.

SD got MOST of his English done, but he pooped out about 4 pm. I don't blame him. That was alot of work to get done on a Saturday. He's going to bring it with him and read on the plane. They are reading To Kill a Mockingbird, and he has 7 chapters left. I think that he did pretty well, considering how much work he had.

Well, I got my hair color done and it looks pretty good. I am done with all the last minute stuff and I have the dishwasher running. I think I will go read a book. My mind is WHIRRING with all the stuff I have to remember. Blech. The day BEFORE a trip sucks.

Hey Folks!
Enjoying the pics, Janet! Looks like fun!

Well........good news and bad news.........
Good---I got my hearing aid back yesterday! :cool1:
Bad--- my hearing has went down another 15% in my left ear--now low in the "speaking" range and very low in "low range", (I kinda knew it had went down, but thought maybe my hearing aid wasn't quite right). BUt she was able to adjust it to my new low level.

So now everyone needs to adjust the volume to LOUD for me! :upsidedow

Awww.... Thanks Carrie

I have LOADS... to share... and I'll do it bit by bit...
First off... have any of you ladies ever threw anything at your Hubby ??
LEFT YOUR HUBBY.. and not just to escape a few hours ... in a Mall, at a friends or even a Parking Lot. But OVERNIGHT.

:grouphug: :grouphug:
We are here for you sweetie!

So it's the "Low Tones" that are Missing... ??

You do know that Women do indeed not hear lower tones as well... and Men do not hear the Higher tones. Under "NORMAL" Circumstances.

I learned that in Music School. When taking Music "Dictation" the ladies always hear the top two lines.. better than the two lower lines.. when they play a piece on Piano 4 notes played AT THE SAME TIME :scared: .

As we age it gets worse normally... but too much loud noises, infections, and heredity, will make it worse. I have to keep forcing my ears to focus in on those lower tones... but I too am losing that battle.

So if I leave Scott again... can I hold up in the barn with the goats :drive: Better yet.. send him to sleep with the goats:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That's interesting!

But yes,...my low decibel sounds went first---it's hard for me to hear "men who mumble"....women and kids are easier for me to understand. The other good news is that my right ear is still 100%----I have to ask my aunt how long she had till her other ear started declining. I have to schedule another MD visit too----he will let me know how close I am to surgery---will have to go to UVA or Duke to do that.

And yes, Tragos and Snickers said they have a barn spot reserved with your name on it! deposit of 3 bales hay required at reservation, non refundable.)

I stood in front of this game yesterday at Wal mart, for about 15 minutes. really considering it. but for $50, i wasnt so sure. Sell me on it T! do you have to get the Wii speak for it also? :confused3
Ok, at first I thought it was a lame game, but then as soon as I started to play, I reeeeeally got into it. It's my happy place. I even named my town after my favorite food.... "CAKE" It's simliar to MY SIMS, but way more fun, IMO. You don't need Wii Speak for it, but it does enhance your play, especially if you travel to other towns. There's a couple of boards here that share friend codes and they go to each others town. My stupid router won't connect with my Wii, so I can't travel until I get a new one. It's just something that I like that doesn't involve shooting people, driving a car, or playing sports.... it's a chillaxin' game, KWIM?

Do you guys remember when my youngest sister was thinking of moving down here with her 2 kids.?
My Mom called and Elizabeth is in the hospital for major depression and anxiety. and who knows what else. I guess she asked her mother to take her on thursday night. they admitted her and are working on meds and group sessions and therapy. It seems she just got overwhelmed. there is also depression that runs in the family. her older sister (not me) was admitted for 3 weeks when she was 16, years ago...
Elizabeth called me from the hospital when I was at Wal mart this afternoon. I guess there is a community phone in the hall or something. It kept ringing when I tried to call back. I`m going to call her again now before work...:sad2:
Just send me some good thoughts and forgive me for getting upset . :flower3:

Oh Katt, I'm so sorry you got hurt here and I'm glad things are getting better for you. :flower3:
After work the boyfriend took me out to eat. We went to this Mexican restaurant called Chevy's and it was muy delicioso! :teeth: I had me 2 delicious Margaritas too. Yum!

Mmm... we have Chevy's here. Yummy! Have fun at work. ;)

Janet - those pics are great! Looks like you had a great time! :thumbsup2

Well our Brownie event went well. I ended up picking up the little girl who didn't RSVP and taking her anyway. They had 6 spots left, so we were ok there. Talk about luck. Anyway the girls earned a Try-It patch and I'm exhausted. I started with a stupid head cold yesterday after going out in the fridged temps to see Jodi. ;) :rotfl:

Oh my! I did a little shopping at DTD and they have the cutest line of Alice In Wonderland teas. I ended up buying the Lemon and Honey Camomille, it's lovely! :goodvibes:

I burned out of Disneyland last September, and we haven't been back since, but when I went yesterday, all the happy feelings came flooding back. *sigh* I miss Disney.

The internet connection drama continues....

KC woke up this morning and went to start work from home and the connection was wonky again!!! So he went to the office, alone, all day. I felt so bad for him. When he got home he figured out it was our router and went and bought a new one at the closing circuit city. So at least we are up and running and he doesn't have to go into the office tomorrow!

So The Soul of Shoalin was really neat. I went for KC mainly but I enjoyed it as well. KC said it best- it was like watching a live Kung Fu movie. He loved it so that made it worth it.

We had some BBQ dinner before the show and did a bit of strolling in NYC. Then afterward we went to a bar/lounge place downtown but it was really crowded and we ended up leaving early and coming home. It was a nice day tho.

So here's what I got out of what I skimmed....

Jo- I have actually had haggis before, and it wasn't so bad but because I know whats in it I couldn't eat more than a bite. The veggie one sounds good! Have a great time at Cirque!!!

T & Jodi - YAY for remembering to take pics!!!!

Katt - :grouphug: I hope things are looking better! So sorry things were so bad. There is no one here who will fault you for taking time away, I def don't spend as much time as I used to on the pc in general. We're here for you!!!!!

Janet - The museum looked like a great time....that statue of liberty pic cracked me up!!!

TE
- So we have to SPEAK UP NOW?!?:upsidedow

I did another update opn my TR, a Disney one!:hyper:

Ok everyone! It's 4:35 am. We're outta here!

Be good. I'll "see" you next Saturday night!

and because I'm going to miss her..........

pixiedust: Happy Birthday V!!!pixiedust:

Mel- Out!

pixiedust: Happy Birthday V!!!pixiedust:

Thanks Mel! Hope you're having a safe trip and I'll be thinking of you at WDW!

*****************************************************

Sorry - I didn't move past the last page, so let me know if I'm missing anything around here.

Leo and Gramma are taking me to my favorite restaurant on the beach for a Bday lunch today and are apparently making me cupcakes later. :goodvibes I really, really need to work out, but otherwise am looking forward to a low-key Sun.

My Mem. Day Wknd. conundrum has been resolved! I'm so stupid sometimes... I'd been thinking I'd use DVC points for Aug., Dec. and Halloween. But it occurred to me Fri. afternoon that Halloween's on a Sat., so I need to stay Fri. and Sat. - TOO many points! So, instead, I'm using points for Aug., Dec., and Mem. Day Wknd. (Sat. & Sun. or Sun. & Mon. nights) and I'll pay cash for Halloween. I don't know where I'll be in May yet (I emailed a ressie request and gave 3 options, so we'll see what they come up with), but it's in process, at least! :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday, V!!!

Rosie: Feel better

HI TE!!! :p

Wait...is V's bday today or tomorrow?!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Ugh, I'm so tired. It was a good night. Sleep is starting to seep in so gotta get some rest.

So I wanted to get Mel and boys something for when we go up, but I don't know what? :confused3

Suggestions?

 all around darlin's.

Happy Early B-day V! I'll wish ya' again manana.

Morning!

We had a nice low key night last night, then I got home and stayed up with D until 2:30 watching Meet the Fockers... :rotfl:

But the kids had been up with D watching a movie until 9:30 and they slept in for quite a bit. :thumbsup2

It's cold here again now.

We had discussed some afternoon skiing, but it's going to be pretty cold still, and then one of D's company's former mechanics passed away of cancer. :sad1: So, the current plan is to take the boys to our friend's house (the ones we do the holidays with) and I'll sit with their girls and my boys, whilst D & John go to the wake. John's DW is flying... I think I'll bring my laptop (though theirs is probably available) because the 4 kids tend to not talk to me, and just play. :thumbsup2 It makes for an easy afternoon for me.

When we get back it will probably be quick dinner, showers, and bed, so that's my day. Not too shabby!

*********************************************************
TE - honey, I'm sorry about the ear declining, but I'm glad you've got the aid back and it's adjusted correctly.

Kat, sounds like fun! Sorry about the internet issues.

I missed Mel...

Hi, V! Glad you worked out your Mem. Day issue! :goodvibes

Hi, T! Glad you're feeling the Disney love again.

Hi, Katt! Hi, Rosie! Hi, Jen!

If I missed anyone, so sorry.

Look for me all afternoon... :rolleyes1
