GOOD NIGHT...

Slate,no heat in school for 2 days? are going to go down there and go ape ship on them? :thumbsup2

I know, what the frig? I will call Monday morning and ask them WTH? I'm sure they have been flooded with calls though.

It was QUIET here last night. I gave up waiting for someone to come distract me, and just watched bad tv. ;)

T: Great pic with Jodi! I'm so glad you guys got to meet. Wanna meet with Bob at the end of Jan? He's staying at the DL Hotel for a week! :)

Slate: Who had no heat at school? Your kids? Omgosh!

Mr. T: Hi! :wave2:

Ed: Bartending sounds like FUN, not even like a job! I say do it! :thumbsup2

Kristel: Thanks! I'm down to the last day now!

*************
Don't know if I'll have much time today. I am about to make pancakes for the boys. Then they have music lessons. After that, I will go to the pharmacy for our meds, clean the house, do the last minute packing, color my hair and get SD to finish the homework he needs to do. Whew!

I'm excited, nervous, apprehensive, happy, etc. All at once!

You guys have a great day!

MEL:goodvibes

Spiked OJ? :crazy2: I'm up now. The dern dog decided to stand up, wag his tail and stare at me until I got up. :sad2:
We're going to breakfast at my MIL's restaurant to pick up Baylie. I hope she sold those 60 bags of popcorn!

Today I plan on finishing organizing my books for sale and planning our lessons for History for the rest of the year. Now that I'm selling our curriculum, I'm going to wing it and do states and capitals/ presidents until May. I couldn't resist selling my books to my friends who needed them. I already made about $300, and I have two more boxes. :rolleyes2

Mel!!!! You're going to Disney in the morning!!!! I'm so happy for you! :cheer2:

:goodvibes Morning!

T...great picture of you and Jodi!

Slate...it's way too early for espanol. I can't keep up with drunken spanish NIGHT let alone drunken breakfast.

Mel...Have a great day and know we'll all be thinking of you as you travel and enjoy your week :grouphug:

Dawn...I hope you were able to unload the popcorn. We sold it years ago when our youngest was in boy scouts...MAN that stuff can stink up a house.

Kristel...Valentine's Day is hit or miss around here. We swore off it years ago because DH didn't want to be told by Hallmark when he should get me a gift. Now he sneaks stuff in and breaks the rules :confused3

************************

I hope everyone else is doing great. I'm off to transform the house into various habitats and await the arrival of an unknown number of kids. Why don't people RSVP anymore????

Have a great day :flower3:

Morning! Leo took over the Wii, and with no school anymore I'm left with working out or being on the computer. I'll work out soonish. ;)

Ed - I sooo wanted to bartend when I served at Bennigans, but was too short! I say go for it.

Mel - have a GREAT trip! Wish I could blow off work Mon. and come spend my Bday at WDW with you.

T and Jodi - you got a picture! :yay: Glad you had fun catching up!

And yes...

WE DO NEED A GIRLS' WEEKEND!!!

I recommend during F&W Fest. :teeth:

Good morning!

At least the popcorn is cheap and in little bags pre-made. It's been selling really well so far.

Have fun at the party! People make me so mad with that not RSVPing stuff.

Thanks Dawn!!
MEL
:goodvibes I miss your dancing banana. Can't you sign off with something else at least? :guilty:

I was toying with taking Sam to WDW for his 16th birthday in June. just me and him. I think its going to be too much. POP came out to 1600 for 5 days, with water park and dining. I Could drop the water park option. but its June and its just the 2 of us..we have to much to do around the house any way..a customer told me last night that he could get me a set of companion tix on SW.
I'm thinking of going to bartending school. I think its something that I would enjoy and be good at. :upsidedow I'll be back later...its hard to type on the the keyboard on my mini laptop :sad2:

Good morning !!:wave2: :) :goodvibes :grouphug:

Mr. T, do you know anything about the Evergreen Marriott Resort in Stone Mountain? Mitch has a meeting there in June and I'm trying to decide if I want to go. They do have one afternoon off and the Braves are in town so we'll go to the game, but I don't golf although I could hang at the pool, which I can also do at home. It would be a nice vacation, but I wonder if it's worth the expense since we were just in Atlanta last summer. :confused3

You got that right V!

Girls weekend would be perfect!

Mel- Have a great trip!

T (& Jodi)- The meet sounds great!

I have been reading along, just not posting too much. It is pinewood derby day for DS. The weather has yet again dropped to -11. Tonight we are having a bunch of friends over for Pizza. I am a bit apprehensive of 2 of the kids. They are a bit more aggressive and one only likes to play video games. Nothing else. I was thinking of not letting them play the Wii, because there are 5 boys, all are 6-8 and we only have 2 controllers and 1 numchuk. I just hope I don't get a mutiny.

Did I miss something? I didn't know if she'd want me as a friend on FB, so I haven't asked her. Should I? :scratchin
She says you've asked her and she was happy, funny whiskey story :rotfl2:

Jo - What's up with Jess?
She's getting attacked by the green eyed monster! Because I MAY, it's not definite, go to DLRP without her and then I MAY, again not definite all depends on $, go to WDW end of September for a Moms Panel thing she's having a strop. She says she misses me when I'm not here :confused3

So here's me and Jodi in the lobby of the Grand Californian.
MeJodi.jpg
Awww you both look gorgeous and not fat at all T!!!! BTW have you cut quite a lot off your hair?

Jo - You are becoming quite the 'celebrity'! I'm surprised you still associate with us Fockers.;) ;)
I'd never dis my DISers :grouphug:

Don't know if I'll have much time today. I am about to make pancakes for the boys. Then they have music lessons. After that, I will go to the pharmacy for our meds, clean the house, do the last minute packing, color my hair and get SD to finish the homework he needs to do. Whew!

How about end of September sort of around the Everest 5K, kill 2 birds with 1 stone :thumbsup2

As some of you read I'm off to a Ceilidh tonight, like a barn dance, to celebrate Burns night, which is the celebration of Scottish poet Robert Burns' life. We're having haggis :scared: I ordered a vegetarian one this year as this is what's in haggis...

1 sheep's stomach bag
1 sheep's pluck - liver, lungs and heart
3 onions
250g beef Suet
150g oatmeal
salt and black pepper
a pinch of cayenne
150mls of stock/gravy

And this is what it looks like...

haggis.jpg

Now you know why I've ordered the veggie one :rotfl2: It will be lots of fun though as the dancing is hysterical!

Tomorrow we're going into London for the girls Christmas present Emma bought them tickets for the 4 of us to see Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall, we're going to find somewhere for lunch in London too :thumbsup2

Ugh. No thanks Jo. You can keep your stomach. I'm hangin' onto mine right now.

Very nice picture. Tracy, you don't look pregnant. I can clearly see space between you and Jodi.

No need to say cough, cough. I'll come right out and say it:

We need a girls weekend!
::yes:: I have 17 points I'm willing to pool. :teeth:
I love the picture T!! looks like you guys really enjoyed the visit. :goodvibes Thanks for posting..Iwas thinking about it today....Jodi is sweet isnt she?princess:
Jodi is a doll! So so's sweet and so easy to talk to ... and Eric had me crackin' up. :rotfl:
I'm up for a girls weekend. We could rent a room with a wet bar and have Ed serve up some mad drinks!

Don't the Grand Villas have blenders?? :teeth:
T: Great pic with Jodi! I'm so glad you guys got to meet. Wanna meet with Bob at the end of Jan? He's staying at the DL Hotel for a week! :)

Take lots of pictures, Kate! I was telling TE about it and she said it sounds like an awesome party theme. She's quite the green thumb as well. ;)

Morning! Leo took over the Wii, and with no school anymore I'm left with working out or being on the computer. I'll work out soonish. ;)
I'm about ready to take over the Wii, too. Gotta crop my turnips in for the big bucks today. ;)

T and Jodi - you got a picture! :yay: Glad you had fun catching up!
I know! I almost forgot! Whew!

WE DO NEED A GIRLS' WEEKEND!!!

I think we need to work on this... F&W is the perfect time... Columbus weekend.

Good luck with that honey! :flower3:

Yup - I cut it off about 4 months ago. You can imagine how much shorter it was. I like it, it's easier to deal with. :upsidedow

Ewwww!!! I saw that on Bizarre Foods. They like boil it in the stomach and you eat the inards. :crazy2:

************************************************
I've got Brownie Day today from 2pm-4pm but other than that, just doing laundry and chillaxin' with the kids.

Speaking of RSVPing.... the event today is by ressie only. Well, out of my 9 girls, 8 RSVP'ed and I paid for them in December. Well, last night the mother of the girl who didn't RSVP sends me her permission slip to attend today. Umm.. hello? For the past 2 weeks I've been asking if this girl is going and haven't been given a yes, so I assumed she wasn't going. Yeah, the day before the event the mother sends me this paper. Ummm, it's too late now. And now I feel bad for the girl and her *&%$ mother. :headache:

Hope everyone has a good day! :flower3:

Angela- I know more about the Stone Mountain park area generally. Never stayed at the Marriott there.

The location of the resort is good and should have some good views of the lake, although not sure of the water levels given our recent water difficulties in the region. Also, the location should be pretty relaxed forested area, and I know there are some good, but not particularly strenuous, hiking opportunities if you like that.

The resort is pretty close to most of the Stone Mountain park attractions. The hike (or trolly) up the mountain is pretty cool as is the view from up top. The laser show is pretty cool if you have not seen it along with the huge confederate carving on the side of the mountain itself. There are some water related attractions at the lake, but I'm not sure those are running viz-a-viz my comment on the water levels.

I know that they have a spa on premises at the Marriott, but I've not heard anything good or bad about it.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
===========================
Relatively calm here for the moment. The kids are all happily involved in independent play at the moment. The oldest and youngest are on hand held video games, and the middle is in the basement with her polly's arranged about her.

We had a bit of a sleep in this morning, which means I was up at 6:30 when DD11 woke up, 7 when DS6 woke up, and 8 when I finally decided it was pointless just laying in bed. DS6 and I finished up his pinewood derby car except for the wheels and axles. :drive: That last bit is on the schedule for this afternoon.

I read a bit over on the DVC board about the new point charts and shake-up and thinking I need to sit down with Jenny to make sure we made the right choice for us in light of all the changes. We're still in our 10 day cancellation window, so if we are going to have second or third thoughts, now is the time while we can actually do something about it.

Anyway, I'll be back later to go back a few pages to catch-up. DD11 has requested lunch, so I've gotta run for the moment. TTFN!
