My neck is better today thank goodness, Ellie has singing and Jess has a friend round later but that's all we have planned. It's pouring though so probably a good thing! Jess just found an old home movie. First it was me at about 9 singing and dancing then it skipped to WDW when I was about 15 and they nearly died laughing at what we were wearing

THe boys had a great time on their hike last night. We didn't get home until almost 10pm, which is late for Jimmy. He was still up at 7:30 though

Jim is at a meeting for work (getting paid) until about 2pm. In a little while Jimmy and I are going ot head out to Target to get a gift for a birthday party he is going to tomorrow.

Riddle me this...who gives out party invitations on a Thursday for a party that is on Sunday Luckily we don't have anything to do, becasue Jimmy really wants to go...it is a costume party.

After we get the gift and Jim is done his meeting, we are going to pick up Jim's sister and go get pumpkins and carve them. We will also get some of the little one's for Jimmy to paint.

I'm glad Jimmy and the rest had a good time. I bet he was pooped. On the invitation, dumb**sses. Or people who think you can just drop everything for them.

Yesterday was a busy. We woke up late and Lindsey was late for school. The alarm went off but stupid me turned the whole thing off. The weird thing is that it went off this morning at the normal time and I know I didn't turn it on last night.

I finally got my hair cut yesterday as well and I really like it! I got about 2-3 inches cut off. I need to get some kind of color in it though. It is soooooo dark! My natural color is a really, really, really dark brown, almost black, so yeah, some color is needed.

As for today, after I get off here the kids and I are getting ready and heading to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. I told them we'd go to the play McD's as well for lunch and then hit Target for a few things. We may carve the pumpkins tonight but will probably wait until a little later this week so they won't look so droppy come Halloween.

Nothing else is really planned for our weekend but just to relax. Hope y'all have a good one!

She finally agreed to meet tomorrow as they changed their flight from Friday to Monday, so to me that means she wouldn't have time to see me if it hadn't changed, but anyway..... She calls a few minutes ago to arrange for tomorrow and wants to meet somewhere (she can never just go to someones house, always has to go to a paid place which we try not to do) but get this they're going to see friends in the morning so can't see us till later but our clocks change tonight so that won't leave us much daylight oh and also Joe her DH is going to a football/soccer match so won't see us So they're here for 3 weeks and we don't see him? And we only get to spend a few hours with her? We are SO NOT going to see her in NYC

You are having what my daughter calls a "first world" problem. I am having a number of them right now - laptop, DVD player. She called yesterday and said "Mom, I'm having a first world problem...I'm about to hit 80Gig on my 80Gig iPod." I told her if that's your biggest problem, you're doing great

You're exactly right.

I really don't want to have to get another laptop! Now our DVD/VCR combo is not playing DVD's, so I have to look for one of them this weekend.

Good luck with all that. My laptop died last spring - just wouldn't even try to charge anymore, and it finally lost the last charge and wouldn't do anything. When I took it in, it was the motherboard. They were able to save my hard drive (I actually even still have it!) by getting the info off and onto my external hard drive. It wasn't too expensive. The new laptop, however, was. Sigh.

Denise I had a problem with my laptop and it turned out to be a clogged fan. Does it get hot? If so undo the back, find the fan and clean it. Mine had a thick layer of solid fluff on it, like you get in a tumble dryer. Once cleared it's worked perfectly and saved me buying a new one

My current one is getting hotter than usual - I'm going to try that! Thanks!

Little geeky me still just has a bachelor's, so this is kind of a big deal if she does give me author credit. It would look good if I do go back to school. But I doubt any non-academic ad people would ever read it.

Rainy, gloomy day here. The bonfire absolutely was off - it's now thunderstorming, too.

We ended up heading out mid-afternoon to get Buzz some new ski boots and so forth. Woody can wear Buzz's from last year, which is nice. D found some pants, and I found some good pj's for the boys, and we ended up eating at Friday's. The boys chose - I worked at one for 3 years during/post college, and I'm feeling pretty over it.

D's flying tomorrow just as an overnight, and I hope to do a little more stapling and actually get to my editing chores.

We are both still sick. I even called out of work again. But I have a million things to do. We got the ressies all straightened out. Oh I forgot to tell you what my Mum said yesterday, what is it with my family I'd sent her some photos of Boo and when I asked her what she thought she said she could tell that we'd been given her from her colouring so she basically thought she was ugly Oh then when I said we weren't going to go to NYC so we'd do a summer trip and she said oh WDW I suppose and I said well actually no David thinks we should go somewhere else she said good!!!!

So who wants to adopt me?

No, it wasn't that bad. We went at about 11:00 or so. Although I went in for one particular thing and left...I actually got what I wanted and didn't spend anymore money

I go to the Target on 611 + Street Road, I guess that's Warrington. I did NOT get what I went in for. I was trying to replace the VCR/DVD recorder. They had VCR Recorder/DVD players for reasonable prices, but not the VHS Player/DVD Recorder Combo (except one for $299 ) Think I'll check out Best Buy! I did, however, come away with some laundry stuff and a beautiful brushed nickel cup for my bathroom that I totally needed

Good morning everyone! Well, at least the sun is shining today DH is off for the day vending at a Toy Show in Delaware, he left at 5:30am , but will be back for dinner with the kids (lasagna tonight!) Here's hoping he makes lots of $$$ to put towards our cruise in January! I was planning on holing up and quilting all day til dinner, but realized that I left an entire bag of groceries at the supermarket yesterday I realized this at 11pm last night - stupid! It was some frozen stuff, including a box of ciabatta rolls for tonight's dinner. Grrr, so now I have to go back there today, look like an idiot at customer service when I tell them what happed to see if it was turned in so I don't have to pay for the stuff again. I'm sure that won't go well and I'll wind up buying it all one more time. This is why DH generally does the grocery shopping - I'm not very good at it

I had pictures - I always move them to the external drive after a bit, but hadn't done it in a while - then my music and recipes and I'd saved e-mails that I'd written about the boys as a kind of diary... But it was really good that the loss of the motherboard did NOT mean the loss of the hard drive.

After yesterday's rain, it is a nice, fairly warm day. The boys are outside right now. I did my intellectual work and now think I'll do the mindless stapling.

D has left for his trip, and I'm still in my PJ's. We did the family homework earlier, (the kids have to read us a story out of "Time for Kids", then we read one to them, and write down what we've learned) so the rest of the day is really mine.

I'm sure I'll be checking in - hope you're all having a lovely Sunday.

I just got back from the market. I went to the customer service counter and told them what happened and the girl said she remembered restocking the items yesterday and to just go get them! I brought the 3 frozen items back and she reminded me there was a box of pasta in there too! I didn't realize that, I thought it was just the frozen stuff. It was the box of lasagne noodles that we're having for dinner tonight! How great was that! I'm definitely going to write a letter to the supervisor to let the store know how great the customer service was! It was around $10 worth of food - I sure wouldn't have wanted to spend it again. Since I was on a roll, I decided to stop at K-Mart on the way home to see if maybe they had a VHS/DVD recorder combo. Lo and behold, they had just what I wanted and for a great price! So, it's all good! Now, if I could just get rid of this headache

Hey all. Have been up and running since about 8am! Took a shower. Ran to the Soft Pretzel place to pick up the pretzels for the snack stand at soccer. Went to soccer. Jimmy scored his 1st goal and had 3 great defensive plays Came home, Jim gave him a bath while I wrapped the gift for the birthday party. Jim is going to take him to the party and I am going to run to the grocery store.

I will post pictures later of the pumpkins we carves last night and of Jimmy in his costume for the party.

I was quoting, but I got distracted by making lunch for the kids and helping B with her homework.

So, I know I'll have to start all over with my post count. Luckily, my self-esteem isn't tied into how many posts I've made. Yeah, I'm torn though. I'll probably leave it because life is too crazy waste any more brain power on it!

Jo- I'll be your sister. I think you kitty is gorgeous. I love her colouring specifically. (I spelled it right for you! )


The dance went well, B said. She said she didn't dance with any boys and didn't see the boy she's got a crush on. She said she had a lot of fun jumping around and acting silly with her girl friends. That makes me very happy! She's such a great girl.

Yesterday was crazy!! Fun but so tiring!

We started with B's solo practice from 9:30-10:30, then C danced at a school with her team from 11-1pm, grabbed lunch, had carpool duties at 2:15, squad practice for B and her 2 friends I picked up from 3-5pm, C had a party at the gymnastics place from 3:30-5. Then I picked up B and her 3 friends, took them to dinner where we met another mom and her daughter. After that we all went to meet two more moms and another dance friend at this really great dance show where all the highschools and middle schools were performing together.

It was a really fun day, but my back is sore from it.


B has 2 quizzes, two projects and a paper all due on Tuesday, so I'm helping her with that. I swear I'm way busier now with the kids in school!!!

The dance went well, B said. She said she didn't dance with any boys and didn't see the boy she's got a crush on. She said she had a lot of fun jumping around and acting silly with her girl friends. That makes me very happy! She's such a great girl.

Back from the grocery store. Spent enough to get my "free" turkey for Thanksgiving.

Jim took Jimmy to the party. It is in the church hall, so I am guessing that it won't be over than 4:00 or so We are doing leftovers for dinner, so that's nice and easy!

Oh phooey, Boo's a little adorably cute! My Lilly has a little underbite and it makes her that much more adorable - I guess not show quality, but we think she's the prettiest thing there is - so there!

I went to the customer service counter and told them what happened and the girl said she remembered restocking the items yesterday and to just go get them!

Well I had a lovely afternoon with my PITA sister and her boys, Ollie was so funny as he was scared stiff of Boo but about an hour before they left was sat on the sofa with Boo asleep on his lap, so cute We just played, went to the play park and had a roast dinner

Tomorrow the 4 of us are off to the mall to do some shopping then Ellie is off to a sleepover and swimming!

Oh I forgot to tell you what my Mum said yesterday, what is it with my family I'd sent her some photos of Boo and when I asked her what she thought she said she could tell that we'd been given her from her colouring so she basically thought she was ugly Oh then when I said we weren't going to go to NYC so we'd do a summer trip and she said oh WDW I suppose and I said well actually no David thinks we should go somewhere else she said good!!!!
