Just go so you can come back. :rolleyes1

Yeesh that stinks not having any clear idea whats up. I hope he gets to stay near home!

Sorry to be such a downer, but I'm bummed that I don't have the support of most of my firends or my one family member. I needed to get that out. :grouphug:

You know we are all here for you, no matter the story! I'm so sorry things ended up that way for you and the girls. I have more or less given up on my family as well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of family, mine is a mess. Every since my mom passed, its just not the same. My grandmother called me 2 weekends in a row but failed to call on christmas or new years. I do not need to be the only one picking up the phone on holidays. My aunt keeps talking smack about me to my grandmother about how I never visit or come to parties. She doesn't understand that KC works weekends and needs several weeks advance notice to get the days off because he is the sole person working weekends. She tells me the week before to just hop on the train and come (BTW its like $50 for the train there and back too). So annoying., She said she thought we were coming for christmas but never invited us. I've pretty much given up on them altogether. I do really wish I could keep in touch with my cousin tho. There are 2 but one is a really spoiled brat and we barely get along. The other is 13 and a really good kid who gets a bad wrap in the family. BUT my aunt won't let him come to the city either. Probably because we take the subway and live in the ghetto because all of brooklyn is the ghetto to her apparently.
Vent over.
Just hanging out today. KC is working 3-12 so I am stuck here alone all night, prob on the computer. I am going to call about getting some part time work doing census taking. its good money (18/hr) and at least something. Making lasagna for dinner (sauce was made yesterday) so it's gonna be an easy day.
Happy Monday?!
Hello Everyone!
KAT - I’ll let you know if I start having any problems. Thanks for the input. I hate Internet Explorer. I use Mozilla for my portal. I have AVG. ‘Knock on wood’, all is well.
I know what you’re saying about the blahs. It’s been so gray here. You don’t want to do anything but lay around. Oh and talk to Dis buddies!
JO - I hope you have fun hunting for Robin and his merry men. I can't believe the girls let you cut their hair. Too funny! Teens are so dramatic. Good Luck with the golf.
T - Well yeah, part of the planning would involve the ‘Waldos’!
Dang, $200 for airfare is awesome! Sounds like a great trip is in the works.
Too cute that you had Mads type the letter. Um, low-carb and GS cookies = disaster for me.
ROSIE - I hope the dog doesn’t cause any problems. It is lucky that Kyle found it.
ANGELA - I’m sorry you were feeling blue. I would have loved to do lunch and shopping with you.
That’s so sweet of you leaving the messy bed for the kitties instead of chasing them off.
No girls here, sorry but congrats!
JANET - ‘Big hug’ to you for Jimmy. I guess he’ll be moving on to more expensive interests now.
Bizarre about the teachers having 2 half days.
Z - It’s good to hear from you. No internet at work does suck. I can’t keep up with the TRs on here. Glad you are doing OK!
CE - I live on gravel which is now mud. My car looks like those big mud buggies when they get done racing around the bog. LOL The temps this past weekend were close to 50. Now it is snowing and by Thursday it will be back down in the teens. I hate winter.
Your MIL sure makes her visit’s a hassle for you. I hope it does work out OK.
Stay dry and I hope your cough gets better.
V - A walk on the beach sounds wonderful. I’m sure Leo does have more important things to do though!!
I need to clean too. Sorry about the bad news at work. I hope everything will be OK.
DAWN - I’m so sorry about your mom coming around. I think you need to do what you feel is best. If you think she is a true threat then by darn tell her to bugger off. If anyone wants to give you any grief tell them you appreciate their opinion but you’re the momma. Then don’t discuss it with them any further.
My mother cut out on us 30 years ago and never looked back. No way would I ever entertain the idea of letting her back in now. Even if I had kids. She doesn’t deserve it. I know that some people think that is harsh but those people aren’t me and don’t know the whole story.
We’re here for you!
Congrats to the girls on the competitions!
Dang, I need to clean my house. Doug did ‘hoover’ for me yesterday. Everything needs a good dusting. I've got some things that need organized and put away. I am not in the mood tonight.
Tomorrow I thought that I would get Doug out of the house- he has sat of his duff all day today- and go to town. I need to get my hair cut. He can browse the mall while I get that done.
We need to find him some slip-on or Velcro tennis shoes. I’m hoping Kohl’s will have some. I ordered him some elastic waste jeans and cords from JCPenney. He can’t get a zipper pulled up any more. They have elastic around the back so I’m hoping they will work. I hate to see him in sweats all the time. Of course, the jeans are on back-order until mid Feb but we can’t find any in the stores.
Then I think we’ll do lunch somewhere. Somewhere with good salads. ‘Cause I just love salad. Yep, better than burritos, hamburgers, French fries, nice big fluffy yeast rolls……….. I know you believe me.:littleangel:
I’ll chat with you all tomorrow. I'm starved. Gotta go get some grub on the stove.
Have a good evening.
Just had some bad news, my friend and neighbour just lost her FIL (she was the one who's Dad died a little while back from a heart attack and was found in a chair watching TV) and also another friend (one of the Pros who works with D) lost his Mum today too, she had cancer but was only about 60! It seems it's a bad day all over the world as Scott just posted on FB that his Gran died :sad2:
Anyway now I've posted that sad post I'm off to bed :rotfl:
Get a sub CE, running around when you're not well is a very bad idea :hug:
::yes:: More below...
It's officially a boy. pirate: Maybe one of you could have a girl for me to play with. T? ;)
:rotfl: But that's nice. ;)
Thanks for the support. :goodvibes
Oh, it's fine - I just don't quite get why she continually doesn't check before scheduling flights and stuff. It's like she still thinks the kids are 2 with no school/activities and that I sit here all day (which, honestly, sometimes I guess I do, but not always... :rotfl:)
Sorry about the mess - I totally understand. It's 55 right now, after dark, craziness...
‘Cause I just love salad. Yep, better than burritos, hamburgers, French fries, nice big fluffy yeast rolls……….. I know you believe me.:littleangel:
**********************************************************
Well, sitting here on the couch "talking" to you I wasn't feeling too bad. But on the way to tennis I actually called my mother, which involved talking, which involved a little more actual breathing, and just that sent me into bad coughing fits.
So, the first person I saw inside the gym was one of the team girls, about whom I was hearing rumors that she's unhappy about not playing the match tomorrow. I figured it was a sign, so I just asked her right then if she'd play for me tomorrow. I sound like a man with a frog in his throat - my mother didn't recognize me on the phone :rotfl2: - so there was no issue. Then everyone heard me cough and talk, and sent me home.
I went to the store quickly and have just been taking it easy ever since. The boys came home and did homework. I made the easy tuna noodles, and they've just had showers. The rain has actually helped wash away all the compacted snow/ice on the driveway and walkway, which is good as 81 year old stepFIL would be in a bad way, and I didn't have to do anything about it! :thumbsup2
I still don't feel achy or feverish. I've got a bit of a runny nose, but I'm not congested, really. It's just this nasty harsh barking cough, which makes my throat feel awful. I am starting to notice some headache during the big coughs, too - but I can't figure out what it is. A deep breath sends me into the cough. I wonder about pneumonia, but wouldn't I feel worse and have a fever? :confused:
Anyway... I actually did do some clutter clearing today, so that I should be able to take it a little easy tomorrow, and do more on Wednesday, but it shouldn't have to be a panic-mode day on Wed. ;)
OK. Buzz got a book that has a cd-ROM element for "code cracking" and he wants the computer - and the dog is whining at me.
Have a good evening!:grouphug:
Evening all:goodvibes Back from Jimmy's OT appointment a bit early. We got there early for our 4:45 appointment. Her 4:00 appointment cancelled so she took Jimmy early:thumbsup2 Did take out for dinner and now Jim is watching the History channel and Jimmy is doing puzzles.
The weather is still yucky, but is supposed to clear up tomorrow. Jimmy has another half day and then the rest of the week should be back to normal.
Hope everyone is having a nice evening:goodvibes
Wow. last to post yesterday and first to post today. I am starting to get a complex:sad2:
Good morning all. It is a lovely Tuesday Morning. The sun is out:dance3:. Not much happening here. Jim is going to take Jimmy to the library after school today, which will be good as we are running out of books for him to read for the 100 book challenge (He is up to 220:thumbsup2).
I hope you all have a good day!:goodvibes:grouphug:
Hi, Janet. :)
Sorry, I stopped in earlier and saw no new posts, so then I didn't post either. :rotfl:
Got the kids off to school. I don't seem to be coughing quite as much (of course, now I've not talked out loud for about 45 minutes again) but my voice is still a wreck with the sore throat and everything. And now, sadly, I'm actually starting to feel a little run down/sick - probably due to the kind of restless sleep I got. I didn't cough all night, or anything, but had lots of little wake-ups and weird dreams. :( I think it's a good thing I'm not playing tennis.
I am going to go over and get the paperwork and business end taken care of, as my captain-y duty, but I won't likely stay to watch the matches. The boys have their lesson later, and I don't want to stay and have to run home, then right back. ;)
For now, though, I'm going back to bed for a while. :thumbsup2 Have a good one!
Well we thought you'd get the hint by now.................... ;):hug::rotfl2:
Janet how did CE's quotes become Scott-Loves-Disney???? :rotfl2:
Is FB playing up for any of you? It won't let me view what people have written, you know if there are more than about 3 replies it won't expand so I can see them all. It also won't let me post anything :mad:
Anyway it's very chilly here, about 37, but I golfed anyway. I did OK not great but came joint first so won £2.25 :rotfl2: I did however pull my back on 1 shot and it still hurts :sad2: I have a match tomorrow so it needs to get better!!!!
I hope sleep helps. :hug: Did you see my boyfriend had to pull out of the Australian Open because of knee problems? :sad2: Now who will I look at? ;)
I did. I stayed up long enough to see the first few points of the Cilic/Roddick match, but had to get to bed. Nadal's out, Del Potro's out, Monfils went out way early - where did the hot guys go? :rotfl2:
Good and don't talk too much today :rotfl:
Thanks. I've not so far, but I need to leave soon to do the official crud. I'm leaving right away, though, once they're on court.
Congrats on the win, but boo on the back injury. Feel better!
I slept from about 9:30-11:00, but can honestly say now that I am starting to feel sick. Not "I can't move nor get up" sick, but somewhat cruddy. :( So, yeah, I am going to go deliver the paperwork and make sure they're all set, then head right back.
Good Morning !!
Jo:grouphug:to the families who lost loved ones !!!
Kat Families can be trying .. Guess that's why they say you can pick your friends but not your family:)
The dog is still here !! Judy called the SPCA and Nadda as yet !!! I know if I lost a dog/cat they would be the first I called !!:confused3 The dog who we have named "Bella " has taken to Judy but still seems afraid of me !!:scared1:The other 2 dogs have taken her under their wing so to speak , so no problem there !! If she is staying neutering is definately gonna happen !!:scared1:
It's funny seeing SPCA without the Royal infront RSPCA :rotfl2: I hope the owner comes forward soon, does the dog have a microchip??
I need some Focker Prayers for Phil's baby !!! She goes into surgery today to remove the fluid and infection in her lungs and chest !!! It is so stressful for both of them His wife is under contract to work as a nurse in NYC and he doesn't have the time accrued to take off the whole time !! I am covering his on call till I go to Disney and another manager will take it from there !! Pleas Pray for the baby to recover and for Phil and his wifr for the strength to indure this !!!
So since I hardly get here anymore, am I, um, still a Focker?:flower3:
Boy I wish I was here more. Miss you guys, just popping while eating lunch. I have a rotton headache and just took 2 Alleve and waiting for them to kick in before going back to work.
BTW, did I know that CE was a moderator, am I crazy, (peanut section keep your comments to your self). I noticed scrolling through this last page???
Anyhow, hope all is well, if the Northeast gets the snow they are saying for this weekend, will pop in, since I may be homebound:mad:
later!
The dog is still here !!
Good luck, either way!
Murray is still in :rolleyes1: :rotfl2:
::yes:: But I said "HOT" guys... :rotfl2: Federer's not bad, but he's too staid looking to be hot. :lmao:
Oh, Rosie. That's so tough. Many good thoughts heading their way.
Of course you're still a Focker, and the mod thing is new. I have NO power whatsoever except on the TR board. Still a little baffled as to how it happened, but hey... :rotfl: So far, just reading the TRs with few readers and being "welcoming and encouraging" which is definitely not hard. :thumbsup2
**************************************************
Got my peeps all set up and just took off. I was thinking of staying and watching some, but there's a 10 minute warm up, and I couldn't bring myself to sit through that to get to any of the good stuff. ;) :rotfl2:
Having a little lunch and probably back to the couch. I can't decide if I should call the doctor. Due to the PPO, if I go in, I may be spending over $100 to hear I have a cold, and since I don't have a fever, I keep thinking that's all it is, but... I'm thinking now that I get through today. Tomorrow is wide open and with the ILs not coming until late, I could go any time tomorrow. If I still feel bad, I'll call first thing in the morning. :thumbsup2
Hi there!
CE- You're a Mod? WTHeckaroo? When did this happen?
I'm home with a really sick little boy. He's been sick since last Friday. Poor thing. What is new around here?
Last week. Just on the TR board... I thought I was just applying and would get more info, but suddenly I had the power! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I'm sorry about your DS. What kind of sick? :hug:
Congrats to you CE! I don't get over to the TR boards as much any more. I could use a good TR to fill in my Disney woes. :) Any suggestions?
DS has Flu Like symptoms and was tested for the Flu and Strep. Both were negative, so we think it's viral. He still has a 102 temp (day 5) and a terrible cough, which is really stirring up the asthma. The good thing is that he has read 3 chapter books whilst he has rested.
