Morning all!!

Hi Z Your Day sounded EXHAUSTING!!!

The Xmas Tea went very well, both Staff and consumers had a great time !!:

It was Rosie....
The Xmas Tea party sounded fun :goodvibes

You don't say.........:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I know.....:sad2::rotfl2:

Um, didn't you just buy a GPS:confused3:lmao:

::yes:: :blush: Loving the snow pics! :goodvibes:santa:

Ok here's the thing...I'm a newbie GPS user. So when I entered the route I really only entered it so that we could follow it once we got to Orlando to find the hotel. Well.....on our way Yani says "What did the GPS say?" Mind you I had the volume VERY low because we didn't need to pay attention to it until we hit Orlando. So I look down and I say "Uh...it's saying to exit here." So she exits and that's how we started heading the long way to Orlando.:upsidedow

Apparently when I was programming the route the GPS asked "This route has tolls would you like to avoid them?" NO YES And retarded me didn't properly read the GPS and thought it said that the route had tolls and if that was ok, so I hit YES. :guilty: So we were going the non-toll way up to Orlando which is basically through a lot of Deliverance towns. :scared1:

I eventually figured out that that's what I did and found us a way back onto the highway, but it took awhile. :rolleyes:

But I now know to read the GPS better. :teacher:

I will send all the snow to you;)

Good morning all. Happy Sunday all. Today is digging out and laundry day. Jim is shoveling the 2 freaking feet of snow we got and I am doing the laundry. Exciting eh? Jimmy is watching Yu Gi Oh The Movie:scared:

He and Jim will most likely have school tomorrow, but I am debating on whether I will bother going in because I don't drive when there is snow.

Hope everyone is having a good day:goodvibes

Happy Birthday Lori

What did you wind up getting? Anything?

It is snowing now, but it didn't start until about 9:00 this morning and we should get 2 inches or less - it's off to sea, mostly, now. :thumbsup2

These 4 were taken about 2 hours later

D is jealous.

I have a wholeday off tomorrow !!:banana::banana:

Enjoy!

But I now know to read the GPS better. :teacher:

::yes:: There's the bright side! :rotfl:

Jimmy is watching Yu Gi Oh The Movie:scared:

Oh, my. :eek: ;)

*******************************************************
Yeah... So I'm happy, really, that we didn't get a bunch of snow. We should be good to go out tonight and finish up. :thumbsup2

I did a little wrapping last night - just stuff for my folks or that others had sent unwrapped for D or the boys. D insists on wrapping the kids' stuff on Christmas Eve night, so I left that.

Having a pretty lazy day so far - trying to clean up a little and having coffee. I don't think I can clean for the party on Christmas Eve, really, yet, as nothing will stay nice, but I can start clearing the little bit of clutter that's crept back in (I'd been doing so well controlling it lately) and maybe get some of the less used rooms looking ready. :thumbsup2

The kids are out playing, and we don't really have anything pressing to do until the sitter comes at 5:00. Nice. :goodvibes

Have a nice day, everyone!

Morning Fockers!

Leesa - :thumbsup2 Awesome grades!

Janet - You definitley got more snow than us. Thanks for the birthday wishes! :goodvibes

Z - Glad you had a good trip but :faint: on the day. Sorry you guys got lost but :rotfl:

:wave2: Hi to all I missed!

**********************************************************

This weekend hasn't been too bad.

Friday was Lindsey's last day of school for the year and DR and I did some grocery shopping.

Yesterday the snow came and we were house bound. I hate going out in it even if the roads are clear so the kids had fun playing in the snow and I caught up on some reading. We watched movies all night long and DR has now discovered Toy Story (well he knew Buzz Lightyear but not the movies and what they were about) and :love: it! I got a letter in the mail yesterday from school saying I made the Dean's List! :woohoo: Yes, I'm cheering myself on. LOL

Today is my 31st birthday and I don't really have any plans. My dad gave me my gift this morning (a new cell phone) and I told Lindsey to hint to Pappy that she wants to take Mommy to Red Lobster for lunch. ;) They are at church right now so we'll see what happens afterwards. :laughing: Even if we don't go I bought steak and shrimp at the store the other day to make for dinner.

My best friend's birthay is 12/25 and we always go out to celebrate. She's out of town this weekend so we'll go out once she gets back. The ex called and he FINALLY made a plan and won't get the kids until after Christmas. So, while the kids are away for a few days her and I can get our party on. :thumbsup2

So, that's about it with me. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday!

PS - I now know how Jo felt with her kitty climbing the tree! The new kitten has been getting into the big one in the living room and just sitting there and then has been climbing the small one in the computer room and has knocked that one over. :headache:

Hi everyone,

It's been too long...The header is telling me that I have not been on since September...:blush: I haven't read back, so I'm jumping into the middle.

I hope everyone is doing well! I've seen some of the snow pictures on FB, so all of you who are snow-bound, I hope you stay warm and safe!

I'm finally hitting a bit of a December slow down at work, and currently doing a pretty good job of ignoring/avoiding doing stuff around the house...I'm not feeling at 100%, so I've got at least a little bit of an excuse for that.:sick: I was actually feeling much worse yesterday, so I can't complain quite so much today.

I'm happy to say I'm in frantic planning mode. My aunt called last week and invited us down to her house in Del Rey for the week between Xmas & New Years. It didn't take much arm-twisting to get everyone to decide to hit WDW on the way down and the way back up, although I have to say the DVC points for nights during Xmas week are a killer. It also happens that we'll be spending my birthday there on the way back up. :woohoo:

We're trying some new restaurants on these trips, which will be pretty cool! We'll be having my birthday dinner at Kouzzina, which has my budding iron chef middle daughter extremely excited.

We're also pretty close to our 180 day mark for our June trip. So, we're trying to make some preliminary dining decisions for that trip. We're really excited about this trip, as it will be our first opportunity to stay at BLT. I haven't stayed at the Contemporary for close to 20 years, and Jenny and the kids have never stayed there.

TTFN!
David

PS In case you did not see my b-day wishes over on FB, :bday: Happy B-day Lori! :bday:

That's good!

D is jealous.

He can come help shovel if he wants;)

That would drive me crazy!

You're a baby! ;) Hope you get your lunch out, and have a wonderful birthday!

Feel better! I hope you had a wonderful Hannukah, too. :goodvibes Your trips sound great!

Hi Janet! :wave2: I saw the snow pics! :cold: It looks beautiful, and festive! But, it also reminds me of why I settled in the south.

We're consulting TGM, so we should have the least crowded days recommendations. :thumbsup2 AK looks like a good fit for 12/29. We don't usually spend much time at that park. We figure that the cooler weather will provide a better opportunity to see the animals than during our summer trips. Also, Jenny wanted the rest of us to try Tusker House. She went there last year with just our middle child and really enjoyed it.

You're a baby! ;) Hope you get your lunch out, and have a wonderful birthday!
Ditto, Lori! It'll be 43 for me in two weeks.

Thanks CE! We had a great Hannukah! We finally broke down and bought a Wii. We gave it to them the first night and then a new game each of the following. They've really been enjoying it! I keep getting tempted to go on eBay to bid on a copy of the Toy Story Mania game...:ssst:

Afternoon all !!!:flower3:
Z how funny (afterwards ) about the GPS!! !!!;)

Happy Birthday Lori !! Hope you got lunch at Red Lobster !!!:dance3::dance3:

When will Jo be back????:confused3

Will chat agin tonite as I AM OFFFFF:rotfl2:

I went and saw Avatar today with my brothers. It was a great movie! I saw it in 3-D and let me say it is worth the extra $3 to see it in 3-D. I have seen other movies in 3-D and found it was not worth the money but this time around it really really was. :thumbs:

The story was very good and kept you interested the whole time. The real draw here though is how visually gorgeous the whole movie is. It is the most beautiful movie I have ever seen.

Go see it on the big screen, it is worth it. :thumbs:

Anorexia is the rumor and looking at recent pics of her I wouldn't be surprised!

I saw that, too. It's very sad to see when these young actresses succumb to the pressures of Hollywood. :guilty:

I loved her character from Girl, Interrupted and Clueless. RIP.

::yes:: My brother in law works at a place called the Renfrew Center which is for people with eating disorders and known nationally. They have had many celebrities, but non that he is allowed to talk about of course becasue of confidentiality. The Renfrew Center. They also have a site in Florida.

He said it is amazing what some of these people will do to be skinny :sad2:

So they closed schools for tomorrow. So do I make Jim and Jimmy get up to drive me to work? I am thinking yes, to save the vacation day but if I do go I am blowing ogg the training/Christmas Part I was supposed to go to.

First off, congrats on the GPA! :thumbsup2

On Avatar, I heard from a couple of people that they experienced some nausea from the 3-D effects. :3dglasses What did you think? Any thoughts on the age appropriateness for pre-teens (DD10 & DD12)?

Well as somebody who gets sick watching Mickey's Philharmagic and playing video games on the Wii I can vouch for Avatar as being non-nausea inducing. :rotfl: I was a bit worried going in but it was fine.

I personally wouldn't have a problem letting kids that age see it but there is of course violence but it is not bloody and gory like in most movies.

Hi all,

Just checking in.

Hi David!! Good to see you posting again. :goodvibes

Lessa: My bro said the same thing about Avatar about the special f/x being amazing. He didn't see it in 3D though. I was gonna go this morning, but my bed was more comfortable. :rolleyes:

Janet: send the snow this way! :santa:

Dawn: I saw that about Brittany Murphy...it's even sadder that it happened this time of year. I'm in agreeance that I think there's something more to the heart attack.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much from me. Finished my Christmas cards last night, so if you get your cards late sorry :blush: this has been the first time in forever that I've been able to do stuff. I slept in today and read some. Went out and did some grocery shopping, then braved the mall :scared:.
My bro came over, we saw the Dolphins lose :sad2: and then out to the mall again with him because he wanted to buy something for his girlfriend. Sears has a major jewelry sale going on. :thumbsup2
Now just gonna veg out in front of the TV :happytv:
Have a great evening all!
