When Jim and Jimmy get home we will have dinner and then put the leaves in the table and the work on paring down Jimmy's Christmas list. I want to be able to show it to the inlaws tomorrow. It will be an early bath and ready for bed becasue we want to watch Merry Madagascar and Kung Fu Christmas at 8:00.

We decied to ditch the parade and just watch it on TV. The weather is supposed to be carpy and I don't feel good.

Black Friday shopping will begin at 10:00pm tomrrow night:thumbsup2. If everything goes as planned I will be done b 7:00am, home and sleep until about 1:00pm before have to go to work. Workng retail on Black Friday :faint:

I'm so tired i can barely stand when I get home. I have been training with another supervisor and working his not -as-good-as-mine schedule. 9 or 10 hours a day every day that I've worked. I can't wait to see that check tho!
Yep think of the money :goodvibes Have a great Thanksgiving!

Snow is forecast here for the next few days :scared1: What is going on with this world? :rotfl2:

Today I sorted the girls pressies out and it doesn't look much :confused3 I need to buy some big cheap pressies to make it look loads like when they were little, why do they only like small things now? :rotfl2:

I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving :grouphug:

So how was your Thanksgiving??? Did you get lots of bargains today and how was/is work Janet?

I played golf on a frozen course today, the balls were bouncing in all directions :rotfl: We have snow forecast for the weekend and my Dad already has some, it's the coldest November here in 30 years

Only 4 full days left till NYC!!!!!

Have not been here is ages but wanted to say hello.

Jo is that the mall in White Plains?

U should try to go to Woodbury Commons. outlet stores but will be very busy unless u go on a weekday.

Ok just wanted to say hello.

Hey all! Hope you are all having a great weekend and that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Thirsday night after dinner, I left my house at about 9:00pm to head to Toys R Us. After I got everything I needed there, I came out of the store and my car wasn't where I parked it. THankfully they had police, in addition to the extra security they hired, there. So I give them the description and all the information and I call Jim to come get me. I go outside to smoke becasue now I am P.I.$$ed. As I am doing that the cop comes back and asked me where I parked my car again. I told him and he just shook his head and pointed in the opposite direction of where I pointed:guilty::rotfl: Jim was not happy:rolleyes::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Anyway after that I headed to the Disney Store, then hit Kohls, Target, Lowes, and 5 below. I was home and in bed by 6:45AM. Got some great deals and saved a ton of money.

Then I got to Macy's for 3:00 and worked until 11:00pm. I worked yesterday 12:00 - 8:00pm and then came home and we decorated the Christmas tree. The boys are going to do the outside decorations while I am at work today (12:00 - 5:00) and then when I get home we wil finish up the rest of the inside decorations.

In the meantime, JIm is going to do the grocery shopping and the laundry too.

Happy Sunday all!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Jo - WHen do you leave?

Hi Scott :wave2:

Happy Monday al! No problem getting everyone up and ready to go this morning:thumbsup2

Another busy day here. Work. We have to put the finishing touches on Jimmy's science project (due tomorrow) and then my co-chair for the book fair is coming over tonight for us to put the packets to go home tomorrow or Wednesday.

Luckily I don't work the 2nd job again til Thursday. So far I like it. The two girls I seem to work with the most are really nice. The one girl I worked with Saturday and yesterday though (In the men's department) was a miserable shrew though. Thankfully, I won't be working with her all the time as I just picked those up as extra hours and I wasn't in my normal spot (Lingerie).

We got most of the Christmas decorations up over the weekend too. Will finish it up bit by bit this week, and then I will take pictures. The outside is completely done.:thumbsup2

Hope you all have a great day and if you are Cyber Monday Shopping good luck.:goodvibes

Hi all.

Quick fly by. Hope everyone had a nice holiday. I managed to get almost all of my shopping done and half of the presents are wrapped, INCLUDING MINE. :rolleyes1 Jim goes out with me and I pick out everything I like then he buys it. It makes it so much easier this way. I used to get hideous gifts that were 3 sizes to big. :lmao:

My oldest grandson came over to help me decorate, I don't do it right in his opinion. He is 12 and thinks he's a comedian. I did let him have his one present early. He wanted an "I heart B**Bies" bracelet, I think for what it says more than what it stands for. He was very happy though so it was worth it.

I go for pretesting on wednesday and surgery is scheduled for next thursday. I am starting to get really nervous about it. It has to be done as I am in constant pain but I always worry that the simple surgery planned becomes more complicated. It's also going to hurt, ALOT. We're getting the tree friday as it has become a tradition to go with my son and his family and he has off friday. His schedule rotates days off. He has to work Christmas this year. He may try and take off but since he works nights he will at least be home to see his younger son open gifts. It is a schedule I know very well as Jim used to have the same problem. He once made me call his sergeant and pretend to be in labor. I was due Christmas Day so it wasn't a far stretch. He called back 2 hours before his shift was over to tell them it was a false alarm. He still gets teased about it 26 years later.

Oh well not much going on here. Have a great day.

Good morning and greetings from Crazy-Land! :dance3: I'd give you an update, but I don't even know where to start and there's waaaaay too much to cover. Let's just say all hell broke loose with school/holiday prep/trying to get a new TV on Black Friday/assorted other duties, but I'm surviving it, okay?!

I never got over here, so a belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all - hope it was a great one! :grouphug:

Yep, I've had a look and Woodbury is about an hour away, thanks for the suggestion and if we get time I'll go :thumbsup2

As I am doing that the cop comes back and asked me where I parked my car again. I told him and he just shook his head and pointed in the opposite direction of where I pointed:guilty::rotfl: Jim was not happy:rolleyes::lmao:
Whoops :rotfl2:

I wasn't in my normal spot (Lingerie).
Oooh I bet you'll have some funny stories to tell us :thumbsup2

A lot of England is currently under a deep blanket of snow, we've escaped with a light dusting but fingers crossed I'm able to get to Heathrow and fly out on Wednesday!!

He's not allowed to wear that at school is he? Jim's school has banned them!

Everyone is starting to make me feel guilty about having their gifts wrapped. I haven't even thought about wrapping yet. Also, I hope no one is offended, but I think I am going to skip Christmas Cards this year. Know that I am thinking of you all :goodvibes

Hello everyone!!!

So how was your Thanksgiving??? Did you get lots of bargains today and how was/is work Janet?

I haven't been on much Jo. I forgot to mention how many people and children I talked to from England while we were in WDW. Everyone was talking about how cold it had been. That and Harry Potter. I think all of England came to Florida just to see HP!

I worked T-day night. Doug went to his sisters.

Have a good time in NY.

I'm glad Jim is helping out!!!!

If I had a dime for every time I forgot where I parked the dang car. I do it a lot at Walmart. I do have a panic alarm on my key fob. I've had to use it a couple of times. Very embarrassing!

Lafayette Indiana was an absolute mess on Black Friday from what I hear. Thank goodness I don't have anyone to buy for anymore. I guess T-R-U, which is located next to a strip joint in town :rotfl2:, was overflowing into that parking area and across the 4 lane highway into the mall area. People waited hours to get in and at least 1 hour to get checked out. NO WAY!!!!!! Best Buy was the same way only they aren't next to the strip joint. If I need anything anymore, I cyber-buy it. I'm glad you survived and like the part time work.

Tell Jim that I feel his pain on the working holidays. I actually am using vacation over Christmas or I would have had to work too. How's his toe now? Sounds like he is helping you out quite a bit. That's always nice.

I hope your surgery goes well and is worth it.

You did well over the holiday! You didn't have to jump on anyone to get what you wanted? I bet you have to wrap everything to keep prying eyes out.

*********************************************************

No news on Doug's new treatment plan yet. He is having a lot of trouble with his speech and word processing as far as typing and writing.

I came home from work the other morning and noticed that an accent light along the sidewalk had been knocked over. It was broken off the stake that was in the ground. It wouldn't have been so bad but that particular light was just replaced in April due to malfunction.:headache:

I asked him what happened. For some reason he decided to wander outside to see where some loud music was coming from and I guess he forgot where he was and walked right over the darn thing. I said, "Douglas, just what were you going to do if you found out where the music was coming from? Go over and kick their behinds with your one good foot?" I just don't get it. He won't get his rear out of that recliner to do what he should be doing but he'll get up to walk around in the dark!

Like I said above, I didn't do the Black Friday Crazy Run. I did do the retail therapy on the computer. Clothes, new house phones, some small gifts for a couple of peeps - no huge deals but not bad and free shipping.

I don't know if I told you guys but I am on Nutrisystem. Too much grab and go has made me fat and slow. I have to report that I have been doing what they suggest and in 2 weeks I have lost.............. "0" pounds! That's "0" stones for you Jo. I'm giving it 2 months. If I don't see any significant loss by then, I will cancel it. It isn't a cheap program.

I'm going to Ohio to visit Rockie and the gang this weekend. Doug is staying home. Rockie and I will do some wine/whine time in her hot tub while I'm there which should be good for me.

I think that's it for now. Gotta go get some supper ready for Doug.

I hope you all have a good week.

:grouphug:

Good luck

A lot of England is currently under a deep blanket of snow, we've escaped with a light dusting but fingers crossed I'm able to get to Heathrow and fly out on Wednesday!!

Thanks, I'll take all of the luck I can get. We had a little bit of snow on Thanksgiving. Jim was happy I was happier when it lasted 30 minutes and didn't stick to the ground.

I told Jim I was going to do my shopping at Macy's and give him the stuff to wrap. He was good with that:thumbsup2

He's not allowed to wear that at school is he? Jim's school has banned them!

Good luck:goodvibes

We have been doing this for a few years and while I have no surprises I like knowing that I will like my gifts.

I don't know if he can wear it or not. He said his teacher is a cancer survivor which is why he wanted it. I don't know if I believe him.

Tell Jim that I feel his pain on the working holidays. I actually am using vacation over Christmas or I would have had to work too. How's his toe now? Sounds like he is helping you out quite a bit. That's always nice.

I hope your surgery goes well and is worth it.

Jim hated working the holidays. Luckily he now has them off and our son is working. That's what you get when you have a job that requires people there 24/7.

The toe is doing better. The dr seems to be happy with it. I did guilt him into testing his sugar again and it's a good thing he was over 300. I just know that's high.

I am hoping the surgery buys me another 10 years or so before replacements. I know the left knee will need to be replaced eventually.

Good luck with Doug, it sounds like you could use it. Going to Rockie's will be good for you. Hope the diet starts to pay off for you. I am planning on knocking a few pounds off after the holidays.

Not much new here. Ella will be 2 on friday and is trying to go potty. I am so excited. I have been changing diapers for 6 years I need a break. She is doing really well so far, she tells me after she goes but she is getting the idea. :lmao:

HAve a nice night all.
