Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Hmm....I don't know enough to know why that's funny! :rolleyes:Is it Uptown or what??
:rotfl2: It's just London or N,S, E and W!

Hey--we noticed that piercings were not popular in Germany---many did not have even 1 ear pierced. Is that a European thing?? :confused3
Not sure, did you notice lots of the French smoke???

He is rather cute. It is a large tattoo and there is a matching mate on the other shoulder.
Nice :rotfl2:

My brother let my 16 yo nephew get one. I thought my mother and father were gonna die!
OMG

Mom got a call from my grandma's nursing home. Her feeding tube was coming out again. The nurses there didn't want to try to put it back in, so they were going to have to take her to the ER - which they had done the week before. Grandma was fed up - the tube was working, but she wasn't showing any marked improvement, and she's tired and done. So, she made the decision to remove the tube permanently.
I'm sorry but at least she can make the decision herself  Enjoy the rest of your trip :goodvibes

I would love to get something done that represents my family unit now... my DH, DD & DS. I'm just too chicken. :lmao:
:rotfl2:

Stopped at Dunkin on the way home and the kids and I sat in the car and ate donuts until the rain let up - 45 MINUTES later. Not fun with 3 little ones.
The doughnuts seem good to me :rotfl:

No word from Jo about how golf went:confused3
I'm here now, golf wasn't great though :rotfl2:

More rain today, oh I wish I hadn't moaned about the heat the last month :rotfl2: Golf was very good and very bad, I only got 6 points on the first 6 holes (should get 12) then had back to back birdies which gave me 7 points :rotfl2: I really need to sort my head out in competitions where I'm not playing against 1 other person!!!!

:rotfl2: It's just London or N,S, E and W!

oh! well, he says to tell you he's in the St James Park area--which direction is that?

Not sure, did you notice lots of the French smoke???

:headache:yes--and I hate that with my asthma---luckily they could only smoke outside, but that still messed with my outdoor cafe enjoyment.

Hi, ladies!

Mo and TE - gorgeous pictures and great reports. Thanks!

Welcome home, T & V! :goodvibes Glad you had a great trip!

I have a tattoo, but you can't see it unless I want you to. Mo does not have one. I checked. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Taz, your grandson is indeed handsome. Happy belated Anniversary!

Jo, the kids were fine with the drive - they wanted to keep going, too. They watched some movies in the car, then I finished reading a book out loud to them whilst Dad drove, then they watched some more movies, then they fell asleep. :thumbsup2 We will not go back in one day - Mom won't be able to drive like Dad did.

Janet, glad your parents made it safely home, too. ;)

Hi to everyone, particularly Jen! :wave2:

Um, what else? I saw Shrek 4 and thought it was cute but not nearly as funny as the previous ones.

*************************************************
It's been an easy but fun couple of days. Sunday we went to church (and the walls didn't crumble when I passed through the door! :rotfl:) and then Mom got a call from my grandma's nursing home.

It's OK - nothing will happen too fast, and she can drink Boost drinks and eat whatever she thinks she can swallow. She will continue to get fluid in her lungs with every sip, but she will get some nutrition and probably will be around for several months yet. I think it's the right decision - she's been working hard on PT and OT to "get home" but knowing that it's not going to happen and without much help from the feeding tube... It's fine. But, that made for a crazy day on Sunday. D's mom was here, still, but left around 3:30, and then we just all collapsed into naps and such.

Yesterday was a run around day - I had to pick up Dad after he dropped off their "extra car" for some work. Then we went to see Grandma and then we went to my cousin's house. She has a pool, and some older kids, and that was fun. After swimming, we went to their neighborhood baseball field and the kids played some pick-up ball, and then we picked up "take and bake" pizzas and came home.

Today we had breakfast at the tiny diner and then snapped a bunch of green beans, which are being canned. Mom has a chiropractic appointment this afternoon in a nearby town that has outlets, so we'll go with her and do a little shopping. :thumbsup2

Tomorrow we'll likely hang with Dr. Belle and her DNiece8 and DNephew4, which will be fun. Thursday I go see my friend with the newish baby - he's 3 months old. :) And then Friday we'll start driving back... Too short of a visit, even though it's a week. :sad2:

Well, I need to see what's going on downstairs... I hope you have a great day! :thumbsup2

CE--she probably made the right decision--sometimes tubes can cause more problems than they solve and make the patient very uncomfortable.

My nana is having some bad days too---her dementia is really advancing and she gets very agitated in the evenings. She's good with me during the days but she does sleep a lot. She;ll be 92 in Sept.

Not sure, did you notice lots of the French smoke???

Oh no:eek::snooty::rotfl:

Jus tpicture the other golfers in their underwear:lmao: Isn't that what they always tell people when they have to talk to a crowd?

She is still annoying ::yes::

Jim is reading a story to Jimmy and I am going to do a few things on the cpomputer and head to bed. Have a good one all!

Hello Ladies. It's a mellow night for me. KC has a friend over and they are gaming so it leaves me on the PC screwing around/catching up on stuff.

It sure is quiet around here.

Did anyone get an email from MMC about a goodie box?
No, what was it?

This is making Faye look like a summer shower:eek:
Wow! Now that must be bad!

I have a tattoo, but you can't see it unless I want you to.
me too shhh!

 for Grandma

Sunday we went to DCA, had dinner and watch World of Color. OMG, it's soooo beautiful. It's best nighttime Disney show on both coasts and knocked out of my top notch pick. I think you all should come to California to see it. ;)
What was your favorite before WOC?

Did you hurt them:confused:
:lmao:

Oh no! those are the worst!

When are your dates in October ??

++++++++++++++++++++

Morning Friends!!

Yesterday I met this lady with a license tag that says Mkymse. I stopped her and we chatted for a while and learned she is a Disney fanatic like us. But when I asked her if she was on the disboards she said she had never heard of it. Is that weird?

Almost finished with school clothes shopping for the boys. I need two more pairs of tennis shoes and a two more pants and the boys will be set. Then I have the girl I have to shop for and shopping for her is just as difficult and expensive as shopping for all 4 boys!

Disneylandmama - I like shopping for school supplies too!

My dates are 14th thru 19th!!!!

I LOVE shopping for the sales on school supplies !!I get good ones at Office Max every year !!

Thanks for the hugs, everyone. I do think it's the right choice - I just hope that she has an easy time of it. She breathes in the liquid with every swallow, so pneumonia is a possibility and probably what we'd prefer to have happen - quick and relatively painless. Otherwise, it would be more of a starvation issue, and that's not as easy on a person... :guilty: They will make her comfortable no matter what, of course. The only other problem is that it will be many weeks/months of wondering how long it will be. I worry about that stress for my mom. But, it will all turn out OK. ::yes::

Many of you saw on FB about my adventures with wildlife last night. :rotfl: My dog was off leash and just nosing around a woodpile, when I saw a little creature run away in the grass. I couldn't let the dog eat it - ew - so I went over and captured it. It was the tiniest baby mouse. He was really quite adorable, and very scared, but I still kept thinking "ick, ick, ick..." :lmao: I took it over for the kids to see, and then my mom. She thought he was very cute, but said, "You don't want him in the house, do you? Because I don't." ;) I said no, but didn't know what to do with him. We ended up depositing him back into the wood pile - I hope that's really where he came from and that his mom found him.

I've been reading, so I'm up with everything, but I've not had coffee and my memory's shot. I hope you all have a great day - I think Jo's involves golfing? - and that you are well and happy! :grouphug:

Morniong all.

All the rain Jo mentioned seems to be over and the flood warnings should also be done with. I wanted to go take pics at the local creek to see how bad it was there but changed my mind. They rescued one man who got caught in a flash flood a block away from my church and are searching for another man. It is being called a recovery mission. This creek is normally very quiet but when we get big rains watch out.

I am off from watching the little ones for the next 2 days. I am taking my granddaughter to see the Sorcerer's Apprentice today.

Not much else here. Have a good day.

It sure is :confused3

No, what was it?
I didn't get one, US only I think, but inside apparently is a MMC lunchbox, photo album Luggage Tag, Toy Story Book marker, Toy Story Bandana, 3 Mickey Moms Club Super gabbers, Bingo Game, Trivia Cards and a Coloring Kit. There are some threads on here about it somewhere apparently!

Lower the points the better, right?
Nope there are 2 different types of game, in one it's the lower the score but when it's points you want as many as possible :thumbsup2

she is a Disney fanatic like us. But when I asked her if she was on the disboards she said she had never heard of it. Is that weird?
A bit!!!

but I still kept thinking "ick, ick, ick..." :lmao:

Morning! Sorry I haven't checked in much since getting back; life's been nutso. As I said to some folks the other day, it's telling that within hours of returning to work, I began mentally planning next summer's vacation, lol!

Nothing real exciting to report here. Leo's back to camp, though he just spent 2 days at Camp Gramma, visiting local attractions and swimming. :goodvibes The budget is nearly finalized and it looks like my job's safe for another year. PHEW! :faint:

Hope everyone's having a good week! :grouphug:

That's great V:banana: Ours still being worked on. However it looks like although there will be cuts, no one will lose their job. They just aen't going replace anyone who leaves!

Hi ladies! Don't pass out, I'm checking in 2x this week! :-)

We're at starbucks whilst tink is at pinkalicious performing arts camp. Ds and I are both knitting. People keep stopping him and asking about his project. It's probably unusual seeing an 8 year old knit at a coffee shop.

We're heading to swim with friends after camp today. Should be fun!

--------//////-----------
V- great news about your job! We'd love to see you in November if you and Leo are in WDW. Any chance?

T- you are so lucky to have DLC to visit regulary! I'm jealous!

Ce- sorry about gramma.

Jo- Happy anniversary!

Hi to everyone! I'm on my phone, so it's hard to go back.

Great news about NO lay off V !!

Happy anniversary Jo!!!

My news is I am staying at Pop in October and leaving Buffalo at 6:15 am:scared1:on the 14th!!!!!

Morning all.

Not much going on here. The rain has gone away and now it's hot again. No kids today so I am relaxing. Of course I did clean up the house some. I went to see The Sorceror's Apprentice yesterday. I enjoyed the movie. It certainly wasn't the same as the Mickey Mouse one but it was good. They did do the scene where Mickey had the brooms and mops cleaning and Mikey giggled through that part. It's a little long for a 4 y/o but Crystal loved it at the old age of almost 6.

I am off to pick up my daughter's textbook. The school ordered 7 books for two classes so she wants to make sure she has it. Summer classes go really fast.

Have a good day.
