Well Dad arrived about 9am he had some brekkie then went to sleep for half an hour, or so he said, 3 hours later we woke him up :rotfl: We then had a nice roast before he took the girls home with him. I've almost eaten all the milk duds he brought too :faint: D and I went for a nice walk once they'd left, it was about 5ish miles and the sun shone so was gorgeous :thumbsup2

Hi everyone! :goodvibes I am finally alone and I love it. My parents have been at my sister's since Wednesday when my friend came to visit. We haven't seen each other in too long, so we did a nice bit of catching up. As you may have seen on FB, we went to Epcot and to tea at the Ritz. Very fun and relaxing. :thumbsup2 Mitch will be home late tomorrow night. He was able to get the Army to get him a direct flight here instead of going through Memphis for the day.

 and well wishes for all who need them.

Hey all!

Jo sounds like a nice day!

Angela - yay for Mitch coming home:yay:

++++++++++++++++++++

Was supposed to be a relaxing day, instead I cleaned the patio and am doing :laundy: Also have bean soup cooking the crock pot, so dinner will be done in about 20 minutes:thumbsup2

Beautiful day so Jimmy spent most of the time after his friend left playing outside while I cleaned, then he helped me hose down and clean all the outside furniture:thumbsup2

Overall a pretty productive day.

Off to have dinner. Hope you are all having a lovely day:goodvibes

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Yes now the mistakes are mine !!:rotfl2:
We'll keep an eye out :rotfl2:

Busy???? CE didn't check in all weekend did she?

D and I played golf today, I was beating him after 11 holes gross, I was 2 over par and he was 3 over. I then had a complete mare and had a strop so that was the end of that :rotfl2:

We're chilling for a little while and are then off to use my free preview tickets to see Dear John. I think it's sad isn't it??? We had a sausage sandwich and bowl of fries for lunch (we shared) at the club and will eat out tonight too :thumbsup2

Nothing exciting really going on !! Judy is on vacation this week and me next week!!! Well sorta ,I will work in the evenings !!The kids are off school so Kyle is home !!
This morning he wanted to go to the store for a cup of coffee:confused3Judy gave him $2 and he rode his electric bike there , got a Vanilla capp. Then realised he had no pockets for the change so he put it in his mouth:rotfl2::rotfl2:That Kid is toooo much!!!

Good morning or is it now afternoon?

Not much going on. I finished my research paper for school so I just need to proof it and print it out. It's due Wednesday so I'll probably drop it off tomorrow. I have to get to the post office to get my pool dues paid. I love belonging to a swim club. I take the kids all summer. They play and I sit under a tree. It will be a little harder this year now that the baby walks but my mom goes with me and my youngest is joining again this year so I will have extra hands.

My grandson had his first baseball game yesterday and they won. He played several positions but was the catcher for most of the game. Was up to bat twice an walked twice with bases loaded :cheer2:. That sent 2 runs in so he did really well. :yay: Can you tell I'm a proud grandmom? :rotfl2:

Did the towels and sheets while watching the kids. Went through some of my clothes and can't get into several pairs of shorts from last year. :sad2: It just gives me an excuse to go shopping. :thumbsup2

I am putting the finishing touches on my trip, 18 days and counting. and gave some details to my aunt who will be joining us. My mom and aunt have left me in charge of everything so even though I am the expert I am doing a lot of this :surfweb: today. I then get to plan my BIG trip. It's official my dream trip is next year. All 3 kids and SO, 6 grandkids and Jim and I are going next year.:yay: Can you tell I'm excited. Five of the grandkids have never been there and 2 of the SO haven't been since they were really little.

Have a good afternoon all.

Morning. Well it is for me. I need to sleep like a person eventually, esp since I have actual work at the end of the month.

So it's been a heavy week.....first my friend has the big C....now this....I need some serious advice.

Ever since my mom died, my godmother has been telling me she had "things to tell me" and she never did. I have asked her several times and she hasn't said anything. Her daughter, my cousin, told me this as well, and that it had to do with my father (whom i never knew, mom left him when I was a baby). Then yesterday out of the blue my godmother sends me a facebook message(tacky right?!) and tells me the name of some man who is supposed to be my father. This is not the person I was told was my father my whole life. I had asked my grandmother about this when it first started (maybe 2 years ago) and she said my godmother was out of her mind.

I just really have no idea what to think or what the heck to do. I don't plan to speak to my godmother about it for several reasons...(1)she drinks (2)she claimed to be "there for me" after my mom passed and that lasted about a month and after that I heard nothing. I don't have room for that in my life. But this bombshell is very confusing. What if she is right? She was my mom's best friend since they were kids. What if she's crazy? I would hate to search for someone and have it be all untrue and uproot someone's life. But I have never known a father, what if?!

So any "if it was me" type advice would be awesome. I'm at a loss.

On a good note, we had a really nice relaxing weekend and this is KC's last week at this job!! Wed is a going away dinner for him.

I'll be around today, I plan on playing catch up with the internets and chores in the house today.

Again thanks for listening, I don't know what I would do without my fockers.

Where are all the Fockers ?????????

Too nice to be inside playing on the computer:confused3

Busy???? CE didn't check in all weekend did she?

She is buried under scholastic books!:lmao:

Enjoy the movie. I have seen previews but haven't seen it. I rented Blind SIde this weekend, but haven't watched it yet!

DId I ask this? Where are you going?

Crazy busy at work. Right now I am buried under a TON of filing, that we all just don't have the time to do everyday. Rough getting Jimmy up today for school. I think his sleep pattern was off because of the sleepover on Saturday.

QUiet week here. Jim has softball prctice today and tomorrow and then a game on Wednesday. Thursday is Shawmont Night at McDonald's so that is what we will do for dinner that night. The school gets 10% of the profits from 4pm to 7pm. IT's not a bad fundraiser and the kids always have a ball!

Friday is our next to the last cub scout meeting for the year and I think baseball is finaly starting this Saturday.

Hope you are all having a great day:goodvibes

Kat, that's a tough one. I think that although you don't want to, you probably should speak to your godmother. Then take that information to your grandmother and hopefully you can come to the truth. Maybe your grandmother feels you will be hurt if she told you this new man is your father, although I think you should be the one to decide if you want the truth or not. Or maybe your godmother is crazy and your grandmother can clear that up too.:hug::hug:

Wow Kat:hug::hug: I agree with Angela. Get information from our godmother and then talk to your grandmother. This will eat ou up inside if you let it fester too long:hug:

I agree it is a nice day out. I took the babay out for a little while we waited for Mikey's bus.

Since I'm not sure which you were asking about. I'm going to CCP for school. I have an associates in psychology, all the credits for education and am now about 4 classes away from another associates in Criminal Justice. I usually take 1 class a semester because with my life I don't have time for any more. I think I am working on Behavioral Science and Photography next. I like the classes for the education and also the opportunity to be around "adults". I sometimes wonder about some of my classmates. :confused3

Swimming I belong to Bustleton Swim Club. I joined years ago when my kids are little and I love it. The kids are out in the sun, swimming and confined.

My granddaughters did a fund raiser at Bugaboo Creek and they got a percentage of the proceeds from whoever was there for the event. It's an easy fund raiser and everyone has to eat. :lmao:

I am still waiting for the T-ball to start for the little ones. My organization treats T-ball as an after thought. I should be getting a call right around the time I'm in Disney which should be interesting if that's when they give out the teams.

+++++++++++

My daughter is done work in a half hour and I will be free. :yay: I love my grandkids but I really like giving them back. :lmao: I do want to see how they handled some sad news at my graqnddaughters school though. The school police officer died over the weekend. :sad1: My grandaughter loved him. It will be her first real experience with death so I am expecting some questions.

Have a nice afternoon.

I just feel like she told me anything she needed to. The email said this man was my father, his full name, where he is from, what school he went to and that I wasn't supposed to know about it but when my mom passed she felt she should tell me. It took her 4 years to tell this to me so thats mainly why i doubt the validity of it. I tried asking my grandmother and she said it was untrue. My family is VERY unemotional, I'm pretty sure I got what I could from them both and now it's up to me to deal with it. Frankly, it's almost too much to handle this week.

Then wait until you're up to it, or not.

::yes::

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Evening! Jimmy is in bed and I won't be far behind. Not much really happening. The schedule is all out of whack becasue of Jim coaching softball, but other than that not much happening.

Hope you all are ahving a good night!:goodvibes

Busy???? CE didn't check in all weekend did she?

I was reading, though. ;)

Kat,

Janet, nearly. ;)

Angela, glad M's going to be home.

Lorrie, great job by your grandson. Do you guys do actual Little League? We are in the Cal Ripken system, and we have some weird rules and so forth.

*********************************************************
Let's see. Saturday was not a great day, weather-wise. It was sunny, but a very cold wind blowing through made it chilly. The boys got a call for a playdate all afternoon, so D & I did bathroom stuff. Then, the 3 of them went to the boat show that was held at our club, but I fell asleep and truly was more or less in bed by 10:30.

Sunday was nicer. We got a call on Friday that the first baseball practice was Sunday from 6:00-8:00ish (which seems very late. :headache:) The coach seems nice, but he never did a "welcome to my team" kind of thing for the parents, so we had no schedule - then, at 7:45, he tells us that the next practice is today (Monday) at 6:00 again. Sigh.

So, during the day, we worked on stuff - I was trying to get house stuff done, since I'll be at school about 50 hours this week - and D got the base for the tile floor down. :thumbsup2 Then we all went to baseball, since I thought I should go to at least the first practice (I go to all games, but if D is home and wants to help, I see no need to go to the practices in general.)

Then, today was the start of crazy week, really. I mean, we had some days last week, but this is the big stretch with no breaks. D had to leave this morning, and won't be back until tomorrow night. I will be at school from 8:30 to 7:30, probably, and the boys will be stuck with me after school. :(

I had hoped we'd go to karate tonight, since I can't take them tomorrow, but baseball messed that one up. Hopefully D will be home Thursday to take them then.

Wednesday is a short day - we don't have a class in for the first time slot, and it's not a conference night, so hopefully that will be a bit of a breather.

It's been so much nicer with my co-chair around and helping. I feel like this one is easy - but then, we've not had the marathon days yet, which will wipe me out. We had great sales Thursday night and Friday, but today was a lot slower. We only had 4 classrooms come through, and one of them was a 4th grade class. I noticed in November that the older kids just don't spend as much. Their parents don't come, so there's no "Can I just have this one, too?" which helps drive sales. Thursday, the last full day, includes all 4 kindergarten classes (plus two others) and so we should end with a bang. Kindergarten parents will spend, and they almost all come. :rotfl2:

I've got a load of laundry in, I need to shower tonight, I need to get dinner together for tomorrow night, since we'll all be stuck at school... I just want to go to bed. :lmao:

I won't be back until Wed., at least, so have a great week, Fockers!

A quick fly by.

I had a girls weekend scrapbooking and came home with a terrible cold. DH was able to stay home today because his flight to MI was over booked. :cool1: This allowed me to sleep all day and I feel a ton better now! Also DH was given a flight voucher, so now we only have to pay for 1 flight to WDW in Nov. Yes... We are headed to WDW from the 4-14! Anyone planning on being there then?

Last week I had a private clothing sale of my gently used kids clothes. I sold $1400 worth of clothes! I kid you not!!!

I have another huge week this week, ticketing all of the remainder of the clothing for our annual Kids Stuff Sale. I'm hoping to make a lot more $$ for WDW! Problem is... I have 3x the amount of clothes that I already sold! Next week is the Silent Auction, which I've been working on since Jan. So my stress level is maxed and it was the worse time ever to get sick!

Hey guys!

I had a pretty awesome day today. Wrote an Anatomy test this morning and found out I got 100% on it which is almost impossible to do. :goodvibes

Then we went to the Simulation Lab to watch one of the dolls give birth. That was both interesting and hilarious at the same time. Some of the questions and reactions people had killed me. :lmao:

I also finally finished my May TR! :woohoo: I started a PTR due to peer pressure. Here's the link if you care to follow along, I will be posting about little trips I take along with trip plans. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2442377 I won't be offended if you don't read as I know most of you don't follow TR's anymore. :goodvibes
