Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Beautiful day here, I golfed in capris and a polo today :thumbsup2 I also scored terribly, I had lots of good holes but I had 2 8's which stuffed the card up really :sad2: But when I left I was winning the cup, can't see that lasting though :rotfl2:

You can do it Jo!:thumbsup2

Tomorrow the girls have an orthodontist appointment, fingers crossed this one will fix Jessica's teeth free, the last one wouldn't. They do Ellie's as they're really crooked but say Jessica's don't warrant the free treatment so I'd have to pay :mad:

Good luck!

Just a quick fly by whilst my father is off the computer. Once in 4 hours. :rolleyes1 Supposedly my sis will be staying at her house tomorrow night, so they will be over there unpacking tomorrow.

:wave2: So did they leave;)

My dad is a cheating scumbag! Was that harsh? ;) He met her while still married to my Mom. He was in Italy for a NATO meeting and met her at the restaurant she worked at. At least that is what I THINK happened as he has never told us. Then again, how exactly do you go about telling your kids about the slut you picked up in Italy while cheating on their mother? :rolleyes:[/COLOR]

Oh my. Nope not harsh at all:hug:

We do the pencils, posters, erasers, and little stuff, but the stuffed animals, voice changers, electronic gizmos and bigger expensive items, not so much. The parents don't like when the kids come home with that instead of books. We put some of it out during the parent-teacher conferences, so the parents can decide, but... :confused3

That's the stuff I meant, we only put the big stuff out on Family night!:thumbsup2

Well, we get 11 cases full, but there are at least two layers of boxes sitting on top of each of those, with books that aren't already IN the cases. :scared1:

:eek:Yikes. Is the fair next week?

Tomorrow morning I have to be at the hospital by 9:30 am for surgery at 11:30 am !! So depending on when I get up I may not be on the boards till later tomorrow !! Judy has taken the day off to take me !! The girls leave for Boston tomorrow morning too !!!!

Good thoughts Rosie :goodvibes

+++++++++++++++++

Good morning. Going up to 88 today :faint: Jimmy has a half day at school, so that is good I guess. Jim will take him to the library after he picks him up and I have to run to Michaels to pick up some stuff for scouts.

Not much else happening. Hope everyone has a great day:goodvibes

Good luck Rosie! :hug:

Good morning! Know why it's "good"? Because...

I FINALLY CLOSED ON MY REFI!!! :banana::woohoo::yay:

What a freaking relief. I'm hoping my daily stress headaches will abate now.

Happy Wed. all! :wave:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::banana::banana::banana::cool1::cool1:
Thank goodness, I was starting to stress for you!;)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

FOrgot to tell you all this one. Last night my dad called. We have been ignoring calls at our house from Chase trying to get us to refi through them and we just arent interested, however becasue we have other business with them w can't add them to the Do Not Call list. Anyway, they tracked my parents down and are now calling them:scared1: TOld my father that if they call again to answer (they have been letting the machine get it) and tell them that they don't me! Hopefully that will work. I have also called Chase and read them the riot act so hopefully the calls will stop!:mad:

Morning All Surgery got cancelled !!!:sad2:I am awaiting a call to reschedule !! We both took the day off .. what a waste !!! I am not a Happy camper !!:sad2: I will be going in to work later as I had a case review that my Boss was covering for me and as she is super busy I called her and told her I'd do it !!!! Gonna try the dang doctors office again to get the new date !!!:headache:

Well the othodontist is a %^&*%$£"$%& and that's putting it lightly :rotfl: He saw Ellie first, who everytime we've ever taken her to dentists or another ortho they've said she needed major work. Anyway this one said she was fine :confused: Even I can see her teeth don't sit right :headache: So I then knew we had no chance with Jess and he said we could have it done privately but not free :mad: So I came home and straightaway phoned the old ortho and she's booked in for free treatment at the start of June :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

I've then spent the rest of the day sorting stuff out, we went through all the books and have put about 30 in the attic to save and about 100 to charity. We then moved the PC from the dining room to the spare bedroom and I've just done loads of clearing. My conservatory is full of stuff to go in either the bin or the garage (to go to charity) but it's raining so it'll have to look a mess :rotfl:

Oh no:hug:

Well I came second

Good show!:thumbsup2

::yes:: Needless to say I'm ticked!

Ugh,what a pain. Are the girls off from school or did you pull them to take them? I'd be raising heck if you had to take them out of school!

That sucks!

Not at all :hug: How old were you? I was 18 when mine split but I'm not sure if that was better or worse as it was "tell your father this" "tell your father that" I got really stuck in the middle :sad2:

I was also 18. He moved out of the house on my 18th birthday. :headache: It is not so much the fact that they split up that upsets me but how my dad went about it and his general behaviour. The fact that he cheated (although we didn't find that out until later), and then how he handled the whole Maria situation. We didn't know a single thing about her or that she existed until four years later when he told us he was getting married! He didn't tell us this in person either but through an instant message! He then said that he would like us to be at the wedding but then never invited us as he "assumed" we would not want to be there as we did not react favourably to the news that he was getting married to a woman we had never even heard of! :headache: We then didn't meet her until a year after that as she was still living in Italy at the time although they did get married here in Canada. They got married before she moved over permanently so it would be easier to get court approval to bring Angelica over as well. Of course we didn't even know Angelica existed until after the wedding. So my major problems with Maria stem from the fact that she had an affair with a married man and then she married that man before ever even meeting his children. Who does that?!

Anyways.... You can see why I have issues with my dad and Maria. He is still my dad so even though he is emotionally retarded I still want to have a relationship with him. Maria however, I want nothing to do with her. :laughing:

No they're off for the next 2 weeks, but it was a 35 mile round trip!

I need to get Jimmy to start giving up some of his books. We are just running out of room:sad2:
We were overflowing and lots were quite young books, some we chucked they'd never read though :sad2:

I was also 18. He moved out of the house on my 18th birthday. :headache:
Popular age :sad2: That was very out of order about the wedding, at least we learn from what our parents did huh!

Love the pun :rotfl2:

:laughing: Yep! Sometimes I tell him that if I ever get married I won't invite him and just tell him afterwards, family wedding, no big deal right? ;) I would never do that of course but I have to give him a hard time. ;)

I hope so, too. :hug: I'm glad it's done!

That's the stuff I meant, we only put the big stuff out on Family night!:thumbsup2

Oddly, I discovered today that they didn't give me the case that usually holds the "junk stuff." I don't know what to do with all that! :scared1:

:eek:Yikes. Is the fair next week?

Teacher preview was today. We're open during Principal's Story Hour tomorrow evening, then classes visit from Friday to next Thursday. :thumbsup2 You won't be seeing much of me this week, except possibly the weekend.

Good morning. Going up to 88 today :faint:

Got to that here. Tomorrow is supposed to be 65, Friday 60, and Saturday 54, though. :( None of those would seem bad if they weren't after 88. :rotfl:

TOld my father that if they call again to answer (they have been letting the machine get it) and tell them that they don't me! Hopefully that will work. I have also called Chase and read them the riot act so hopefully the calls will stop!:mad:

That's ridiculous. :sad2: One of my friends from playgroup wound up getting calls about her NEIGHBOR'S DEBTS and called the congressmen. That kind of thing just should not happen. They were wanting her to deliver messages and stuff since the neighbors were avoiding the calls. Gah.

Morning All Surgery got cancelled !!!

I'd be ticked, too. Hope you get a new date soon.

hi guys!

Today has been exhausting! Did I tell you guys how much stuff I ended up with on my plate this quarter. I have a full class schedule, work, and 3 different internships. Im checking wood duck nest boxes, surveying and banding mallards for a disease study, and voluntering in the nursery at a wildlife rehab shelter.

Anyway, I just finished dinner so I'm off to eat and work on some school work.

Hi All! :wave2:

It's been a long week! Ugh!:headache:

Not much going on here... Evan's still battling his scarlet fever, poor kid. His Spring Break really stinks! We're hoping to get to DLR on Saturday... Waldo and TE have GADGAD voucher's they're just itching to use. ;)

My SIL is having her CAT scan next week to check if her cancer has returned...so fingers crosseed here! :thumbsup2

Hope you are all having a great week! :hippie:

Hello Everybody!!
Sounds like Easter went well for all.

JV popped in to say Happy Easter.
:wave2:

Janet has pictures at post #663. Jimmy got awards for math and reading.
Great pictures! Yay for Jimmy!

CE says D was still working on the bath on Easter. She gets to deal with books for a while.

I hope the book sales go well!

JO says we are lucky to have her so that we might understand the British lingo. She has been finishing up the spare room. Ellie will get braces in June. She played golf in the sunshine and it was rubbish.
Are you going to show us some pics of the room? Sorry about the hassle with the braces - crazy. I think you should just stick to playing golf in bad weather.

T survived the rolling earthquake. She has decided to get her survival kit in order. Evan still has scarlet fever. Her SIL goes in for a CAT to check for cancer next week.
Yep, I just watched 2012. Scary stuff. Hugs to Evan. Fingers crossed for your SIL.

V and Leo are doing well. Her refi was delayed a day or 2. They closed on the 7th. No news on her job.
YAY!! on the refi!!!

TAZ was just now able to get her Christmas décor down outside. She is developing a rash in the sun.
Oh no! I hope it goes away.

ANGELA was looking forward to getting the house back to herself.
Ya know, I was just thinking today that it would be nice to have the house all to myself. Doug is always under foot. I love him but enough already!

ROSIE is finding out what the escort trip to Lake George will involve. Her surgery got canceled.
When is this trip? I forgot. Too bad you had to take a day off for nothing.

CEL BEL is going to be a very busy girl.
Good luck with everything.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much going on here. I have to go to town tomorrow to get my hair cut. I need to mow the rest of our property but I think it might be a bit chilly tomorrow. It was 80+. Tomorrow it won't get up to 50.
I need to go get some sleep now.
Have a great day!!!
Well darn I skimmed the whole thing and I could've just read Kristel's post...oh well.
Hi All!!
Jo: can you come remodel my bathroom? It has 2 doors and I need to get rid of one of them....don't ask why as it was that way when we bought the house. :sad2:
V: congrats on the refi!! :banana:
JenV: Uh I'll let you know about AKV after the 17th ;)
T: Poor Evan :hug: Glad you guys are ok after the Earthquake
CE: did you see the ipad's e-reader! :faint: I think if they would've made that an e-reader more people would've bought it as that instead.
Kristel: Planning F&W for the first weekend in Oct. ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Just checking in. Couldn't sleep and had to pay bills so decided to stop by. :wave2:

Well apparently BCV is booked for the first weekend in Oct. :sad: (at least that's the answer I've gotten from someone I was trying to rent points from) We were trying to stay there for F&W. I'll look into BWV, but if not I guess it'll be SSR which I don't mind either just wanted to be close to Epcot :cloud9:

9 more days 'til my Birthday trip to Disney!!! I can't wait! :goodvibes

Anyway, nothing else new.

TTYL!! :hippie:

Oddly, I discovered today that they didn't give me the case that usually holds the "junk stuff." I don't know what to do with all that! :scared1:

Poor kiddo:hug: Do they do anything with SF, antibiotic or anything or is it one of those things that just has to run its course?

My SIL is having her CAT scan next week to check if her cancer has returned...so fingers crosseed

It's pretty. But, hey, my Kindle was free, and I have the iPhone... ;)

9 more days 'til my Birthday trip to Disney!!! I can't wait!

Woohoo! :)

Good luck, did you call them?

No, and I need to. There are only so many tables I can steal from the custodian... :rotfl2:

Good luck! I will be in your shoes next month. OUrs is the Week of May 12, although I only show up to work I don't chair!;)

Yep. I feel REALLY good. :banana: We got so much organizing done yesterday - got into every box, took out my Sharpie and labeled everything, so I know where my overstocks are, what's the junk that doesn't come out, etc., etc. I didn't get to do any of that last time since I was more or less by myself.

Plus, we kind of overstocked the cases, so we won't have as much to get out and put away on the tables every darn night, and I know where we put everything, too! Woohoo! Now, as long as my volunteers don't flake, we should be golden. :thumbsup2

Good Morning all. Another BEAUTIFUL day here. High is going to be 83, tomorrow 60:rolleyes:.

88 here yesterday (which is insane - Z & V, was it even that hot in FL?) and then 60 today, in the 50's Friday and Saturday. Nutty. But then I think we settle into some really nice "real" spring weather. Around 60, some rain, typical April... ::yes::

*****************************************************
So, yeah, the teacher preview went really well yesterday - I can't believe how relaxed I feel!

However, our pretty, new bathtub has some weird issue with the finish. D got the drain installed and so forth, then realized that the whole tub is bumply/gritty, and not in a way that cleaning will fix. So, we have to return it. Luckily, I don't have to go to school until about 1:00 - we set up in the music room for tonight's deal, because they use the all-purpose room (where we normally are) for the story hour. I can't get into the music room until the last music class leaves, of course, so...

I need to go help D get this back to the Depot and the replacement back up. By the time that's done, I'll probably be ready to shower and get to school, so I hope you all have a great day! :goodvibes

I totally understand a full schedule but it sounds like fun. Take time for yourself too, that's important.

I want to get my hair cut but my aunt yells at me. It's still short but not as short as I've had it. I give in because I know I'm in her will and I don't want to be disinherited. She also has a really nice flat screen that I wouldn't mind getting and I know she is due to upgrade soon. She's had this TV over a year. She got rid of a TV once because she didn't like the remote control. :rotfl2:

I am looking forward to the slight drop in temps. My daughter got completely ripped off on her house. She has had heating and air conditioning issues since she bought it. There are no screens in any of the windows so they can't be opened or the cat gets out. I thought I was going to pass out the other day the house was at 85 degrees. Fortunately the repairmen are supposed to be out tomorrow and my husband will be off so he can come up to her house. It is under a one year warranty and the whole system needs to be replaced. There are parts of the heater that are rusted away :scared1: I swear the heater was giving off CO2 all winter. At least the moderate temps are comfortable.

:thumbsup2

:goodvibes

I missed my granddaughters book sale. The library in her school is so hard to get to and really tiny that it wasn't worth it to me. I do feel bad though because I love to buy the kids books.

That is weird about the bathtub. Hope it resolves easy.

+++++++++++++++

Well I saw the dr and my rash is some kind of dermatitis or very mild eczema. I never had that before so it was a little weird. I have a script and that should clear it up.

It has been really WARM here and as I mentioned my daughter has a problem at her house. I am going to make sure my husband can be here when they come out. He is a rather intimidating figure, sort of has to be with his job, so they may not try and double-talk him. My daughter gets confused with what they tell her.

My trip is coming up and I am really excited. My aunt is going to join us and spend one night at the hotel with us. I haven't seen her in over a year so I am really looking forward to it. She moved to Florida over 30 years ago so I don't get to see her nearly as often as I would like. She's only a half hour from Disney now so I think we will be able to see her more often when we go down. She used to be in West Palm Beach and it was too much of a drive.

Janet inspired me to show off my grandkids. Here are the 3 I watch every day. Crystal is the oldest and Ella is the baby and then there's Mikey

The woman in the background was one of my best friends in HS. I never realized her family belonged to the new church.

Oh well I have to get some studying done. TTYL and have a great day

Tomorrow is supposed to be 65, Friday 60, and Saturday 54, though. :( None of those would seem bad if they weren't after 88. :rotfl:
It's about 60 here today and I'm in capris and a short sleeve shirt and the girls have shorts on :rotfl2:

Today has been exhausting! Did I tell you guys how much stuff I ended up with on my plate this quarter. I have a full class schedule, work, and 3 different internships. Im checking wood duck nest boxes, surveying and banding mallards for a disease study, and voluntering in the nursery at a wildlife rehab shelter.
Wow it all sounds interesting but don't wear yourself out :hug:

Not much going on here... Evan's still battling his scarlet fever, poor kid. His Spring Break really stinks! We're hoping to get to DLR on Saturday... Waldo and TE have GADGAD voucher's they're just itching to use. ;)
I hope he gets better soon and good luck to SIL!

Are you going to show us some pics of the room?
Probably not :rotfl2: How's Doug?

Jo: can you come remodel my bathroom? It has 2 doors and I need to get rid of one of them....don't ask why as it was that way when we bought the house. :sad2:
2 doors??? Where do they lead? So you have to remember to lock and unlock both :confused: I hope you get October booked up!

At work and a ton of stuff to do, but I am sure I will check back in later.

How weird and what a pain!

Very cute :goodvibes

Boo went into the front garden today and the bully cat attacked her :eek: Luckily I was there so I got him off her but I had to kick him, I know not nice but he was on top of her biting her and he clawed and bit my friend when she got him off her cat :sad2: Boo isn't bleeding but is shaken up :sad2:

Also today I opened up the ping pong table that I bought at Christmas and it's damaged but I don't think they'll take it back as it wwas bought so long ago :sad2:

So fun day here :rotfl2:

Not much going on here. I have to go to town tomorrow to get my hair cut. I need to mow the rest of our property but I think it might be a bit chilly tomorrow. It was 80+. Tomorrow it won't get up to 50.

I need to go get some sleep now.

Have a great day!!!
Thanks for the update! :thumbsup2 How's Doug doing? Enjoy your day.
CE: did you see the ipad's e-reader! :faint: I think if they would've made that an e-reader more people would've bought it as that instead.
ITA, Z.

I've heard all the DVC villas are hard to get during F&W Fest. Are you on the waitlist?

Enjoy your birthday trip! :goodvibes
Yikes:hug:
Poor kiddo:hug: Do they do anything with SF, antibiotic or anything or is it one of those things that just has to run its course?
He has to be on an antibiotic for a full 10 days. The doc was adament about making sure I give it to him for the full course. If it's not treated, worse case could be full blown sepsis. :eek:

Good Morning all. Another BEAUTIFUL day here. High is going to be 83, tomorrow 60:rolleyes:.

At work and a ton of stuff to do, but I am sure I will check back in later.

Nice weather... we finally got some 80* weather here, too.

That stinks! Enjoy your book fair! Ours was last week, and I totally dodged having to volunteer.... I know, but I'm fed up with our PTA and I know I'll get sucked into doing the pancake breakfast next month. Ugh.

:Hope Evan is better feeling better soon. Have fun at DLR. Prayers for your SIL that all goes well.
Thanks! :goodvibes

Well aren't they just too cute in their Easter outfits! :cloud9:

Lessa: :hug: I read about all the Maria/Dad/Angelica drama. I'm sorry, that really stinks all the way around. But, I commend you for still wanting a relationship with your dad. Andy and his father have been estranged for over 5 years, after a similar situation. It's really sad, but I don't get involved, KWIM?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Good Morning!

Evan's still yucky and spotted, but he's doing great otherwise. You'd never know he was sick, as his energy level is waaaaay up there. Give me strength! Just doing some laundry and some general straightening up today.

I'm supposed to go with my parents tomorrow to a funeral, but I'm on the fence. My dad's cousin's daugther's husband (whew!)passed away from brain cancer on Monday. He was retired Navy and an LAPD officer, so I know it'll be a full honors funeral, but it's really far away and I don't feel right about leaving sort of sick, Evan with my brother. And I know it's going to be sad, as he's left behind his wife and 3 teenaged boys. :guilty: I only met the deceased once, when he came for my Grandfather's funeral a few years back, but still, there will be a lot of family I haven't seen in a while. Ugh, can you tell I"m on the fence?:sad2:

No, and I need to. There are only so many tables I can steal from the custodian...

:rotfl2:

Do you order extra of things that you know are going to sell. We had them send extra Diary of a Wimpy Kids (all of them) and we sold out of everyone of them.

Ugh about the tub. Hope it was an easy return!

Janet inspired me to show off my grandkids. Here are the 3 I watch every day. Crystal is the oldest and Ella is the baby and then there's Mikey

They are so cute. Wow, kids who actually get dressed for Easter. That doesn't happen too much anymore:sad2:

Wow,I didn't realize it could get that bad:hug:

Pancake breakfast doesn NOT sound fun :scared:

Completely understand:hug:. Isn't it sad though that as we get older the only time we see most family and friends is at weddings and funerals:sad2:

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Another busy day at work. Man, what is it with them wanted to get all these people out of jail!:confused3 HAve to run back to Michaels tonight. I went last night and got stuff for the boys to make puppets at schouts tomorrow night and I forgot the Googly eyes:sad2:
