Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Just wanted to say a quick Happy Easter to all my fockers!!! Hope you all have a great day!

Evening Fockers !!! Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter tomorrow !!! We are having dinner around 3pm as I am working (Time and a half )

HAve a great holiday Rosie!

Happy Easter Ladies!

I hope all is well with you all. We're readying for the bunny. Tink fell into the egg dye tonight and hopefully coming clean in her bath. Ds is hid his basket from the bunny and thinks it won't be found. :cool2:

Other than that... it's going to be a small crowd fro Easter (just my little bro's).

Something you may not know... My DH is now traveling all week... EVERY week. :headache: He flies to Michigan and then comes home for the weekends. He is working on a project there and apparently they were not able to find someone local, so they pulled him from his project and sent him there. The bad is that he's gone all week and I'm a single parent, the good is that he'll be up for a great promotion when the project goes live at the end of the year.

I'm checking in more often and try to keep up. Hi to the newbies! I'm Jen, a SAHM to 2 kids and very active in our school PTA.

:wave2: Hi Jen! Miss you hanging out more:hug: Wow, that stinks about DH being on the road so much, but great about the promotion. On the plus side school is almost over so that hopefully will make it a bit easier!

Have a great Easter.:goodvibes

Morning, all! I hope you enjoy a lovely day of renewal with your family or friends. :goodvibes

Janet, great pics!

Jen, sorry about the traveling. That sounds worse than D's deal - because sometimes he's home during the week.

Rosie, how'd the bunny do this morning? :rotfl:

************************************************************
Our day started way too early, as well. The kids were up at 6:40. D didn't want them to go hunting (baskets only - egg hunt will be at Deb's later) without us, and we knew they'd be loud and annoying if we kept them upstairs. So, we got up, let them find and look at the baskets, then D & I went back to bed for a while. :lmao:

I'm boiling the potatoes now for the potato salad, and I need a shower at some point. D did get the whole floor pulled up and out yesterday, and I think he's a happier guy in the long run - even though it is more work for him, too. Now the decision is made and he's glad to get the cruddy subfloor up. :thumbsup2

So... He's talking about a run to the Depot before we go to Deb's around 2:00. The kids are outside, it's already 69... :) Have a great one! :grouphug:

This is your bedroom? Wanna come paint my bathroom in a couple of weeks?
Nope the spare bedroom which we're going to make a study, our bedroom still needs painting although D did the ceiling last week :rotfl2:

we have apparently decided on grilling a "beer can chicken" tomorrow (which I've heard of, but don't know much about)
A what?????

I just plain feel beat-up today. However, no rest for the weary........
I know others have said Kristel but look after yourself

School has been going well, I'm still at the top of my class! :goodvibes
Yay, congrats and as CE I think said how old is Angelica?

Then, we got some sad news from D's dad. D's stepmom's mom has passed away. She was 92, and sick, so it's not unexpected or that awful, but it's always still sad, you know? They are doing a memorial service for her in FL where they were living - the husband is still alive and going to continue to live in the assisted living place there in FL. SMIL and her brother are both in the south, but not in FL.
I'm sorry and I know what you mean about doing the right thing

Something you may not know... My DH is now traveling all week... EVERY week. :headache:
What a pain, how long is if for? Do you still have your GAP job?

The baskets are filled and in my room !! The Easter Bunny went out and may be a little hung over i the morning !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: She's still doing dishes !!!!:lmao:
:rotfl2:

Here are some pictures I took over the last couple of days.
Great photos Janet and it really looks like spring has sprung in Philly :thumbsup2

So... He's talking about a run to the Depot before we go to Deb's around 2:00.
Have fun oh and too funny about having to take 2 cars :rotfl2:

We went to see Nanny McPhee today and it was fun but it's going to cost us a fortune as we want to see all 3 of the trailers - Toy Story 3, Shrek 4 and the Toothfairy :rotfl2: Also have any of you seen Nanny McPhee? Did you all understand all the language? Did it help being friends with me for things like daft? ;):rotfl2:

Wow, how old is she?

Yay, congrats and as CE I think said how old is Angelica?

She is 15. She has some serious issues but I feel bad for the girl, she probably feels as though nobody really cares about what happens to her. Does her mother really think she will be better off in Italy with her deadbeat dad who never supported her financially or even contacted her all these years she has been living in Canada? I think if anything her behaviour will get worse since her father will probably not even attempt to constrain or discipilne her. :sad2: Who knows though, maybe moving back home will do the trick. :confused3

Till then all of you have a Happy Easter !!! Where's Mo I found that Easter Greeting just for her !!!:cool1:

Happy Easter everyone.

Easter just isn't the same without little ones. Jim had to work his PT job so he wasn't even home. We never got the eggs dyed as my sink backed up big time and my garbage disposal seized. We are having an egg dying party tomorrow just because I want the kids to do it.

The Easter Egg Hunt at church was completely unorganized. The older kids went crazy at the big yard and no one sent the little ones to the side yard. Eventually a couple of little ones made it but it was mostly my grandkids. We are planning next years much earlier and having better organization. There was also a baptism, and in the realm of IASW the child was the grandson of one of my best friends in High School. Her whole family belongs to the new church. I really feel as if though it was an omen that things were meant to be.

Had a pleasant day at my mom's for dinner and we had an Easter miracle. :rotfl2: My brother came over to my house and replaced the garbage disposal and dislodged the clog in my pipe. I have a sink and running water again. :worship: my brother.

Well now that I am in calm down mode I wish you all a Happy Easter or what's left of it. I am going to try and get some schoolwork done.

Just checking in to see how Tracy & fam are after the quake.... anyone have word? Where the heck did my list of telephone #'s go for the Fockers?!

Hey all!

We are all fine. We're about 100 miles north of San Diego, so we did get a pretty good feel of the quake. It was probably the strangest one I've ever felt. It was a rolling type of quake that lasted for a good 45 seconds. I honestly thought it was going to get stronger, but thankfully it didn't.

I have to admit, we are SOOOO not prepared for a big one, we've decided we'd better update our earthquake/survival kit real quick. There's been so much activity, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a good one soon. :thumbsup2

Anyway, thanks for checking in with me here and on FB. Happy Easter! :goodvibes

Glad you are Okay!!:worship:

I wont be making leftover Ham !!! As while I was at work the gang ate some more ham and left it where the DOG could reach it :rotfl2::rotfl2:

V said she hid the basket too. I have never done that. We leave the empty basket on the table and the EB fills it that night:confused3

Good morning all. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We are all back to work and school today. It was tough getting Jimmy up this morning. Hope that isn't a foreshadowing of the kind of day he is going to have. :scared:.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Enjoy this beautiful weather:goodvibes:hug:

V said she hid the basket too. I have never done that. We leave the empty basket on the table and the EB fills it that night:confused3

My basket was always hidden, too. I think it may be that in both my case and for my kids, the egg hunt is never here, and never first thing. I always did a family one with my cousins at my grandparents', AFTER lunch and so forth, and we do the one here at Deb's later in the day... They need something to hunt in the morning, right? :rotfl:

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Enjoy this beautiful weather:goodvibes:hug:

You, too! :)

*****************************************************
Hi, everyone!

Man...

I love Deb dearly, but I should know by now that things never move fast over there. We went over a little after 2:00, to "eat around 5:00, 5:30..." The kids were having fun, we were having margaritas :rolleyes1 :lmao: and suddenly Deb looked at her watch and said, "Oh, no! It's 5:30 and the chickens need to be on the grill for an hour and a half." :headache: So, we didn't eat until after 7:00, and didn't get home until almost 9:00, and it was a school night. The kids were filthy, so we had to throw them in the shower, making for an even later bedtime.

We had lots of fun, though, and the chicken was fantastic. :goodvibes And I do love being over there on holidays - we just need to be more on top of the cook time, I think. (Thanksgiving happened about the same, but at least we didn't have to get up and go anywhere the next day...)

So, I had made a deal with the kids that if they were still sleeping when I came in at the normal time, I'd let them sleep and drive them to school. Woody was wide awake and reading, but Buzz was totally asleep. So, Woody got on the bus and we let Buzz sleep in. I took him to school, came home, ate, had some coffee, and then I went back to school to hang the posters for book fair, talk to the custodian, etc. etc.

I've had a little lunch, and I head out for tennis drills in a few.

I can't believe the books are being delivered tomorrow - it feels like it's sneaking up on me. We don't have a real "day" of it until Friday, but...

So, yeah, I'm gearing up to be busy. I have my annual poke-n-prod tomorrow - joy  - and I need to try to get to Sam's to get a few more things together for next week's fair stuff.

Hope everyone's having a great start to their day!

Hi guys! Hope everyone had a fun weekend... we sure did - FINALLY! :goodvibes

Y'know, I have no idea how I got started hiding Leo's easter basket. :confused3 Mine weren't ever hidden as a kid. I do always wonder, though how Leo thinks the EB gets his basket, as I "magically" appears full of stuff after being stashed in my storage closet the other 51 weeks of the year.

Anyway, we had the ideal FL day yesterday... I worked out while Leo enjoyed his basket and some TV in the morning, we had a wonderful lunch with Gramma at our fave restaurant, which happens to be on the beach, saw "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" in the afternoon, Leo braved the chilly water to take his first dip in our pool of the season, and we finished the day with pizza for dinner and a Star Wars movie. :cloud9:

My refi was supposed to close last Fri... and they blew me off. As in a last-minute email saying it was delayed and then nothing... no calls, no emails, nada. I found out today that the rescheduled it for tomorrow (uh, thanks for checking with me first!), so here's hoping.

That's it. No news on the job front; still hoping I make the cut. Hope life is treating you all well! :grouphug:

Glad you are Okay!!:worship:

I wont be making leftover Ham !!! As while I was at work the gang ate some more ham and left it where the DOG could reach it :rotfl2::rotfl2:

My dog has been stealing things lately too but fortunately not the ham. She has been stealing cakes and cookies that are wrapped in plastic and I thought too far out of her reach. I think the cats are helping her. :lmao:

I'd be upset about that I love leftover ham and then some soup with the bone.

Good morning all. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We are all back to work and school today. It was tough getting Jimmy up this morning.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Enjoy this beautiful weather:goodvibes:hug:

I managed to get the day off and it was tough getting me up. :rotfl2: I am loving this weather though. I may even get the shorts out by wednesday.
Hope Jimmy had a good day anyway.

I love Deb dearly, but I should know by now that things never move fast over there. We went over a little after 2:00, to "eat around 5:00, 5:30..." I think my mom insists on all holidays at her house because I'm the same way. I plan really well but me execution. . . well lets just say we had Thanksgiving at NINE PM one year. Of course that was many years ago and my mom was in a serious car accident the night before and I had never made a 25+ pound turkey before, but my dad ordered my mom to do all cooking after that in the hospital or not. I'm glad you had a good time anyway.

+++++++++++++++

Morning all. It is a gorgeous day here. Nice and warm. I have the day off from the kids and am almost completely caught up on my reading for class. I even managed to finally get all of my Christmas decorations down out front. They were frozen to the ground, then covered under 3 or 4 feet of snow, then it rained, then they froze to the ground and then it RAINED. My wild Day Lilies are growing and my Bleeding Hearts are beginning to bloom so I really hope that lousy winter is over.

I thought I would have a completely free day but I need to watch my one grandson for about a half hour and then my oldest grandson has a scrimmage game tonight to prepare for the opening of baseball season. It is going to be very weird being a spectator after coaching the past few years. I will be able to take a lot of pictures though.

Have a good afternoon all.

It sounds like everyone had a nice Easter. Because my sister was in the middle of moving, I didn't think we'd do anything, but her MIL invited us all down for lunch. Very nice of her. :goodvibes My parents, sis, BIL, and Reid have been staying here since Saturday. Today the last of the paint and tomorrow the carpet, so maybe they will move on. I keep reminding them Karen comes Wednesday so they have to be out. :rotfl: Have I mentioned I'm used to being with myself all day? ;)

My BIL's birthday is Friday, but since he'll be out of town, we're celebrating tonight. Mitch's birthday was Saturday and it was weird not spending it with him. My mother asked if he got the day off. :rolleyes1 Yes, they stop war for Mitch's birthday.

She is 15. She has some serious issues but I feel bad for the girl, she probably feels as though nobody really cares about what happens to her.
Wow I didn't realise she was that young, so was she raised in Italy?

It's a holiday here today and we went for an animal hunt, yeah we're weird :rotfl2: we used to do it all the time when the girls were little, we literally drive around spotting as many animals as possible, yep said we were weird :rotfl2: We then went for a walk before finishing the painting in the spare bedroom, all that needs doing is to wash the woodwork down, put up the new curtain pole and curtains (drapes) and refill the room :thumbsup2

D is still off tomorrow and I'm going to play a golf competition!
