Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Price drop?
I'm on the phone with Mel and she has employed me to be her secretary, I guess... LOL She asked me to post that she dropped it to $10.

Oooooh... She said I am her executive assistant and pay me in Lapus! :banana:

Morning! My only news is that I booked - GULP! - ASSp for our F&W Fest weekend. I'm gonna need a lot of wine. :rolleyes: Which kind of negates the savings of a Value over a Mod, right? :rotfl:
Yes, but wine is oh so much more fun!:rotfl:

OMG, he's a SENIOR already?! :faint:
Yes. I know. :faint:

Yes, but the wine is fun. ::yes:: Look at it as entertainment. I'm doing the same with my trip. LOL

I will pay you one dancing banana. LOL
And, yes, I dropped it from $11 to $10 a pt. I'd consider $9 but only for Fockers. I am not cutting it for anyone else!

Mel:banana:

Oh, I didn't know you were asking $11 originally. I'm still trying to take them off your hands though!

Still haven't rented the dang pts. It's starting to stress me out. I know they don't expire till next June but I thought someone would snatch them right up! Everytime I've gone looking for points to rent, they've flown outta the R/T board like they were on fire! :confused3
With all the stupid Free Dining next year, I'll bet renting out points is going to be difficult. I sure wish I could take them from you, but the "use by" date kills it. :guilty:

Good Morning! :wave:

Finally finished back to school shopping!! Yippeeeee!!! Evan had about 6 pairs of jeans from last year that are too short for him now! Ugh. They're size 5 Sonoma jeans in various washes, if anyone is interested. He's the youngest boy in the family, so I don't have anyone to hand them down to.

Not much else going on. We had 2 days of glorious weather and now it's crappy again. Ugh. So much for summer. :rolleyes:

I'll BBL - need coffee, STAT!:surfweb:

Yeah, this "nothing to do for three weeks, woohoo!" has turned on me. ;)

Jo and Angela, Hello!!!
T, glad you got your shopping done.
Rosie, I'm sorry. :hug:
Janet, glad you're having fun!
Hi Mel, & V!
Who am I leaving out? So sorry. :hug:

************************************************
We had nothing going on today, except that I didn't get the kids to karate yesterday because of the playdate. So, we went this morning, and then it turned into errand day, which got worse as I planned some of it. The kids had a couple of summer reading things to turn in - one at the school, official-like, but then one for $10 at our bank, to be put into a new "young savers" account, and one at Barnes & Noble for a free book. Getting ready to go to the bank, I realized that I must have recycled their SSN cards in the desk move this spring. :headache: I KNOW they were in that file, but they're not now, so... I had to figure out how to get new ones of those. That involved not only dropping things at school, but also asking the secretary for their school IDs - which she didn't know what happened to after the school year. She printed up a record with their photo, but then I also took their immunization records, and that turned out to be the good ID. :rolleyes:

Anyway... Then, I talked to my neighbor and realized that she is doing her son's b-day party tomorrow, which is sucky because I'd made a playdate. Turns out the party isn't until 5:30, so I think the playdate will work out - but we had thought of seeing if the family wanted to go to the lake, and now that's out. I may see if they want to move the playdate to Friday to do that, but...

So, we went to the school, the bank, Barnes & Noble, Toys R Us for the b-day gift, then by the Soc. Sec. office. We're home now, but I really do still need a quick stop at the grocery and possibly Target. And I need to mow.

I'm grouchy. :rotfl2:

Hope you're all having a better day than this! I guess it's not that bad, it's just running around and not being even done yet, but not wanting to get in the car anymore. :confused3

Mitch and I have been talking regularly which is good. He's very busy working every day, but the time goes quickly. We Skyped last weekend so he got to see Ridley and Reid. I have also been sending lots of snail mail, as I read the college class of 2014 thinks email is too slow and they rarely use snail mail. :rolleyes:
I bet he'll love his snail mail :goodvibes

We got here Sunday and went to Yorktown. Went to Jamestown yesterday and Colonial Williamsburg today! Jimmy is having a ball! Tomorrow we are heaifn to Busch Gardens, so that should be lots of fun. It's our last day so we are planning on going for Opening and just staying until we feel like leaving.
Fantastic, enjoy the rest of your trip :goodvibes

Welcome back I missed ya !!!
Awww you too :hug: So sorry about your sweetie :hug:

I toally hear you! My sister came to see me in Gloucester with her kids (16,13,2) and I was exhausted! Two year olds are constant motion. I'm not sure how I did it back then. I'd surely die now. :rotfl2:
Exactly, I could not go back to having toddlers :rotfl2:

This is where living in a "hoity toity" suburb comes in handy. All the rich people drop off their gently worn Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, Gap, JCrew and Aeropostle that they paid top $$$ for and I snatch them up at 3.99 a pair. Woot. It's the cleanest, nicest store. And it's IN my hoity toity suburb. Seriously, people. How can I NOT shop there?????
Wow sounds fantastic :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great deal :rotfl:

It's got cold here :sad2:

OMG :faint:

I'm grouchy. :rotfl2:
I'm not surprised :rotfl2:

Been quite busy here too, yesterday I took Jess to a golf comp then went to the ortho with Ellie then back where E and I played 9 holes before picking Jess up (she came 3rd so we're really pleased with her) then today we had physio (Jess has been discharged as she hasn't moaned at all during the holidays :confused:) followed by a school uniform shop. They only needed a few top up bits but it came to £85 :faint: That's about $130, thank goodness they didn't need a total new uniform!!!! Then I cleaned this afternoon and Jess and I took 1.5 hours to assemble a garden chair thing. It was a bargain reduced from £90 to £35 :thumbsup2 It is called a glider and is kinda like a swinging chair without the swing :rotfl2: Tomorrow Jess has yet another golf comp :thumbsup2

Wine is good. :thumbsup2 And so is booking your trip. :goodvibes

I wish I was there! I wanna go to dinner with you!
That would be lovely. :goodvibes

How does Mitch sound when you speak? Is he in good spirits?
He seems to be doing well. They are just sooo busy which I suppose is good.

I have a box ready to go for him, but I want to add some things that he REALLY wants. Anything in particular you can think of? You know we love him!!! :love:
Thanks so much, Mel. :lovestruc He never wants anything. I am trying to send things that I don't care if he brings home otherwise he will have way too much stuff. He does like the NY Giants and the Braves. Most of his unit is from Alabama so there's lots of Crimson Tide pride there as well as UT, go Vols! :cheer2: I sent him a box of Ole Miss stuff to decorate his room with, but he says he needs more to compete with the Bama guys! :rotfl: He will love anything and they all usually share when packages arrive.

So know what you mean. When I volunteered at the Junior League thrift shop, I always found good things. :thumbsup2

Not much else going on. We had 2 days of glorious weather and now it's crappy again. Ugh. So much for summer. :rolleyes:
Isn't it always mostly summer there?

The kids had a couple of summer reading things to turn in - one at the school, official-like, but then one for $10 at our bank, to be put into a new "young savers" account, and one at Barnes & Noble for a free book.
That's a very cool deal.

I could have sworn I did that with my birth certificate, but then Mitch found it. :confused3

No wonder with all that running around. It's summer.

Jess and I took 1.5 hours to assemble a garden chair thing. It was a bargain reduced from £90 to £35 :thumbsup2 It is called a glider and is kinda like a swinging chair without the swing
She cooks, is mechanical, plays golf. Go Jess. :yay:

I have decided I want a tattoo. That's as far as I've gotten though. Turn 40, Mitch is gone for a year. :rolleyes: But I am scared of the pain, and I'm not sure what kind of tattoo I want. Mitch thinks I'm crazy but he says whatever.

Good Evening all !!Another tought day at work that started at 2:15 am with a call that my sweetie had fallen out of the wheelchair after a Fire Drill (State Mandated ) and 911 had to be called to get her up!!!:scared1:
Then again at 7am a call to say that QA was there to do an AUDIT:scared1:Of course my overnight staff was just lamenting away to QA about my sweetie and how hard it is to take care of her and I am like FUMONG as I know this means a NURSING HOME !!!The evening staff and I have worked so hard on keeping her difficulties IN HOUSE and now GRRRRRR!!
Anywho I spent all day answering all sorts of questions and explaining things to the QA gal !!All in all we are okay apart from a few things that have to be fixed !!! But then as I was waiting for the next staff to arrive the bus came EARLY with my sweetie as she was acting up and they wanted her OFF !!It was a nightmare getting her OFF soooooo I heard all about it again how she needed more care etc etc !!!

Good evening though we all went to a picnic hosted by my second job !! Great cookout was catered !! D Jay was awesome , and we won a basket at the baskey auction a grocery stor $20 gift card which is prolly the most practical gift we could get !!!:banana:

Of course I am not Jo and that was ALL we won!!!!:lmao::lmao:

Thanks for that info. My Girl Scout troop is going to make this their Sept. project for Mitch and his group and I was wondering what sort of things to send. Most of the websites mention powdered drink mix, like Propel, etc. and snacks. Anything else I should consider?

Isn't it always mostly summer there?
Usually - but it's been a VERY strange summer. We actually used the A/C for the first time yesterday. :confused3

I've decided I"m getting a new one, too. Too bad you aren't here so we could go together. Have you decided on a design? The pain isn't as bad as you think it is. When they start it hurts, but then your adrenaline kicks in and there's hardly any pain after that. :goodvibes

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Well, Cheer Camp started today. OMG! There were about 200 little girls signed up - it was crazy! :faint: Maddie looked a little nervous, but then she found my cousin's daughter's and they were 3 little happy campers...err cheerleaders. ;) I forgot to take the camera, so I'll take some when I pick her up and post them.

It's hot again, today! Yay!!! Pool:30 will commence in a few hours! :banana:

Stay cool, everyone! :hippie:

I have decided I want a tattoo.
The pain isn't as bad as you think it is. When they start it hurts, but then your adrenaline kicks in and there's hardly any pain after that.
T's insane, though I still love her. :rotfl: I'd put the pain of my tattoo roughly a step lower that childbirth and several steps up from a root canal. NEVER again. :sad2:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Um.... nothing to report. :confused3 It's still hot. It's still humid. I'm freezing my tuschy off in a 65* office. :rolleyes:
T's insane, though I still love her. :rotfl: I'd put the pain of my tattoo roughly a step lower that childbirth and several steps up from a root canal. NEVER again. :sad2:
:ssst: You're going to scare her! :eek: :lmao:
I promise it's not as bad as child birth, Angela - and I gave birth with NO epidural to Evan, mind you. Have you seen the size of his head? :rotfl2:
It feels like a hot key is being dragged across your skin, but it's not that bad.:laughing:
She cooks, is mechanical, plays golf. Go Jess. :yay:
She will make the perfect wife or well husband :rotfl2:
See I actually enjoyed giving birth to Ellie, no drugs and it only really lasted an hour but no way would I get a tattoo :rotfl2:
It feels like a hot key is being dragged across your skin, but it's not that bad.:laughing:
Errr yep that definitely sounds wonderful :rotfl2:
Jess played her first medal today (thats where every shot counts) and she did really well. She played 2 under her handicap with a few very high scores, I'm so proud :thumbsup2 We'll see tomorrow what her handicap gets cut too and then she has another competition tomorrow :thumbsup2
Afternoon everyone.
I have read and caught up with all of the posts but I have been having internet issues so no posting. The signal keeps going out which is a pain.
Not much happening here. I went to the zoo monday and toured downtown Philadelphia tuesday. I haven't done that in a while and actually had a good time all by myself. There is a pass that allowed me unlimited access to public transportation which really worked out well. Yesterday I went down the shore again and came right back home. They had torrential rain down there. My poor daughter went down for a few days to that. The puddles on the street were actually a foot deep in spots. :scared1: I called her today and the sun was coming out so they were taking the kids to the beach. Thankfully they will get two decent days with the kids.
I tried to enjoy my alone time but Jim was home with the flu. He also had a "blister" on his toe. He has diabetes and his blister was an ulcer. Thankfully he did see the dr. and it is being treated now, and is back to work today. :yay:
Not much happening here. I'm enjoying the peace and quiet and looking for a class to take this semester. Have a great afternoon.
That is so sweet of them, T. :cloud9: Mitch and the others will definitely appreciate it, and I will too. :goodvibes Wal Mart, Target or Big Lots has cheap DVD's that I've sent. Propel is good too. Magazines, but no porn or horror comics when mailing to an APO address according to the USPS website. Not that you would send that, but I have no idea what horror comics are.:confused3
We actually used the A/C for the first time yesterday.
You're kidding. :faint: We have ours on almost all year.
Too bad you aren't here so we could go together.
No kidding! What do you want to get?
Well, Cheer Camp started today.
I know Maddie looks adorable. :cheer2:
T's insane, though I still love her. :rotfl: I'd put the pain of my tattoo roughly a step lower that childbirth and several steps up from a root canal. NEVER again. :sad2:
Well then. :sick:
It feels like a hot key is being dragged across your skin, but it's not that bad.:laughing:
:rotfl: I actually went to the tattoo place last night but they were closed. Maybe that's supposed to tell me something. I will not be deterred. I don't think. :rolleyes1
Jess played her first medal today (thats where every shot counts) and she did really well.
:dance3:
Not much happening here. I went to the zoo monday and toured downtown Philadelphia tuesday. I haven't done that in a while and actually had a good time all by myself.
That sounds like great fun. :thumbsup2 My mother asked if I ever go to eat by myself. She was shocked that I said yes. I take a book with me, and it's no big deal. :confused3
I have also decided I'd like to get waxed which I have never done. My sister, who has had two babies, said there's no way she'd do it. Do you think there's something to the fact that I am interested in pain this summer? :rotfl2: My mother thought she needed to call me every day to make sure I wasn't dead. Now that would be pain. ;)
I've decided I"m getting a new one, too. Too bad you aren't here so we could go together. Have you decided on a design?
Ooh, ooh, me too! When can we all go together? :goodvibes I want something to do with the boys, but don't know exactly what (nor where, as the tramp stamp area is already marked :rotfl2:, and I do want to be able to hide it when necessary...)
T's insane, though I still love her. :rotfl: I'd put the pain of my tattoo roughly a step lower that childbirth and several steps up from a root canal. NEVER again. :sad2:
Where's yours? I didn't think it was that bad - and I had it before childbirth. ;)
Jess played her first medal today (thats where every shot counts) and she did really well. She played 2 under her handicap with a few very high scores, I'm so proud :thumbsup2 We'll see tomorrow what her handicap gets cut too and then she has another competition tomorrow :thumbsup2
Yay, Jess! :)
Yes, I can just see the girl scouts sending porn. :lmao::lmao:
My mother thought she needed to call me every day to make sure I wasn't dead. Now that would be pain. ;)
:eek::rotfl:
*****************************************************
Another slightly crazy day... Went to Target before going to swim with the playdate friends, then back to get the kids to the party. Then, I got a call that my computer was back at Best Buy, so I erased stuff off the loaner and went and got my computer. :thumbsup2 It got a new motherboard, but the hard drive (and therefore all my stuff) is intact. Woohoo!
D went up to the boat alone. The kids just got back from the party and he's also just walked in the door. So, I need to get the kids in bed... Have a good one!
No Tattoos for me !!!I don't believe in any pain by choice !!!:rotfl2:Judy has them though :scared1::scared1:
What an awesome project T!!!!:hug:
Yomorrow I am putting on a LUAU at my second job !!! I picked up most of the food already !!Ham Kabobs , rice, Corn on the cob , a Pineaplle fruit centerpiece and a Pineapple Trifle !!I got everyonr leis and my co worker is burning a CD for us to HalloHa too !!!!:rotfl2:
Oh sure, I go on vacation and you all get chatty. I have read, but I don't think I really comprehended anything. Sooooo tired.
We left Williamsburg about 9am and arrived home about 2:45. Unpacked (most of it anyway), ordered pizza for dinner and then left at 6:30 to drop Jimmy off at his friends house for a play dae and Jim and I headed to the Cub Scout PLnanning meaning. I promise I will re-read tomorrow and actually understand what I am reading. I may even be awake enough to quote:thumbsup2
Can't wait to tell you about the trip. Lots of Fun and lots of pictures...over 500 in 4 days:thumbsup2
Chat with you all tomorrow:goodvibes
I promise it's not as bad as child birth, Angela - and I gave birth with NO epidural to Evan, mind you. Have you seen the size of his head? :rotfl2:
See I actually enjoyed giving birth to Ellie, no drugs and it only really lasted an hour but no way would I get a tattoo :rotfl2:
Okay, apparently childbirth isn't the best analogy, lol! 'Cause Leo freaking HURT! ;)
Afternoon everyone.
Hiya! :wave:
I'm enjoying the peace and quiet and looking for a class to take this semester. Have a great afternoon.
Want to take one of mine for me?! :rotfl:
Do you think there's something to the fact that I am interested in pain this summer? :rotfl2: My mother thought she needed to call me every day to make sure I wasn't dead. Now that would be pain. ;)
:lmao: WHy is it that we don't have a psychologist amongst our Fockers?!
Where's yours? I didn't think it was that bad - and I had it before childbirth. ;)
Mine was pre-Leo, too, at age 19. It's just above my ankle. He wouldn't do it on the ankle bone, where I wanted it, because it would "hurt too much." :rolleyes:
. Then, I got a call that my computer was back at Best Buy, so I erased stuff off the loaner and went and got my computer. :thumbsup2 It got a new motherboard, but the hard drive (and therefore all my stuff) is intact. Woohoo!
Yay, you're back!
I don't believe in any pain by choice !!!
ITA! Everyone told me it wouldn't hurt. :rolleyes:
Oh sure, I go on vacation and you all get chatty.
Sorry Janet! Can't wait to hear all about your trip :thumbsup2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Have I mentioned that I'm back to school in a few weeks? Yeah, I've got 6 classes left to finish this damn degree, and I need to be done before 2012 or start over. :eek: So, now that I've managed to pay off all non-mortgage and non-car debt, I'll be in debt yet again for tuition. Ugh! One more year and I'm done, one more year and I'm done...
