DM - your loo holders are cracking me up!

Hey DB--let us know if you find out when she's coming!

Which way is Loudon? Do you have season passes?

Loudon is about 15 miles outside of Knoxville down the 75 South. Nope, no season passes. I may live near Dollywood but my heart belongs in Orlando.

I know we did I can remember the Bury bit but didn't realise he went to school in Norwich! My Grandfathers Auntie and Uncle owned the main bakers in Norwich and were very well known so they may have all crossed paths at one point! We found out a few years ago that MIL's mum knew my Great Grandmother how weird is that

Mr. DB - I sent you a PM with my email address. Did you try sending me anything? For some reason I am missing some very important emails in my yahoo account. I am going to have to quit using that account.

And the Dollywood saga continues!!

I know, y'all have been unable to sleep waiting on the next installment!!

Well, we woke up late the next morning.....ate free breakfast.......and went to the park. (this time we parked WAY away and had to wait for the tram)

We walked into the gates, and I said jokingly "I wonder where Cinderella is?"

Someone actually said, "the train station is to the right"
:confused3 :confused3

So, I like trains and we went right.
Lo, and behold, a giant coal-fired train, named CINDER-ELLA!:goodvibes

This was really cool--a 5 mile trip in the mountains. It was an actual train used in the Yukon in Alaska for something....can't remember the rest of the story but it's really old and it uses like tons of coal and water each day. Worth the ride if you go here!

Then, I checked the show schedule..and discovered the Eagles show was starting soon......once again, the BIRD not the BAND! This was a really cool show with owls, eagles, and even a vulture flying everywhere. Then you can get up close with them.

DW has a huge Eagle Rehab center (?biggest in world)--anyway, they save them and then release the offspring of their pairs. The ones on display are non-releasable birds. An American Indian guy asked for a feather, but the lady said they collect all the feathers and send them to a tribe in Houston for their ceremonies. Neat, huh?

Then, we walked around "Craftmans Valley"--they make some cool things here! Got a handmade copper butterfly for my flower garden! They have beautiful wrought iron things and even handmade horse and buggy carriages--bought my dad a hat from here cause he rebuilds Amish buggies himself! (and talked for about 30 min about this to the craftsman who said "I'm about tired of a workin' for Dolly--I'm a gonna go out on my own and do this cause I ain't gittin' any younger at 71!)

Then I saw an old replica schoolhouse and noticed this sign--thought it was funny for any teachers out there--

:rotfl2:

Then, I saw this in the "county fair" section and thought it deserved a picture!

So, does it look like fun yet? Has anyone bought tickets to go?? Anyone?? Oh well, I'll keep updating, cause ya never know, right??
