Just had a call my Grandad died early this morning, what is very spooky is that it is 15 years today that he collapsed with the anerysms!!!!!

Oh Jo! :hug: :hug:

Good Morning ladies. I left the house at 4:45am and hit TOys R us by 5:15am. Was out of there by 6:00 with everything I needed except one thing they didn't have

Got what I wanted/needed (except for one thing) there and was checked out and in the car by 7:30 heading to work.

Wow Janet!! Super Shopper!

I hit up some sales this morning bright and early. Went to CompUSA to get a USB they had for $1 and also got a memory card for my phone.
Then headed to Michaels and got some scrapbooking things that were $60 off! :banana:
Then Target to get my "hidden" movies that my brother bought me as an early christmas present. ;)
The boyfriend is supposedly gonna get me some stuff from Best Buy since his sister works there. We'll see if he remembers. :rolleyes:

We drive back to Baltimore tomorrow. :drive:
That's like an 8 day drive. :faint:

The only other thing open in our ENTIRE town was McDonald's. Oh, and the corner gourmet mkt/liquor store. So, we ended up there buying soup and sandwiches from their deli case. Can you believe that!!!????

Now you have a new tradition. :thumbsup2

we also had a stone built into the house that said our names like they do on old houses. Dad has already been round and they said they'll save it for him,
That's cool. :)

I'm so sorry to hear that Jo. :hug:

BTW my Grandad would kill me if I didn't go to WDW!

Go Grandad. :goodvibes

Mel, this is so sweet. I hate it when DH is out of town, too. DH used to have to go for 4 months at a time :scared1: It was lametastic AND sucktacular!

You're so right. When I first met Mitch 14 years ago, satellite phones were not all that available, so when we went to summer camp for the Army, in Ecuador, he's leave for 3 weeks without a word. :sad2:

Update on the ceiling...we are so lucky. We cut a 6 inch hole in the ceiling about above where the shower is and found the pipe. It's not cracked. The water was pouring down from the actual drain in the shower. It looks like the rubber ring detached from the pvc pipe...so, a new ring and some silicone sealant and we're all set. Well, that and a new set of recessed lights for the hole in the ceiling :)
Thank goodness you won't be needing a new ceiling or floor. :thumbsup2

Good Morning ladies. I left the house at 4:45am and hit TOys R us by 5:15am. Was out of there by 6:00 with everything I needed except one thing they didn't have (That wasn't a doorbuster, so I am going to try a different TRU tonight!). From there went to Wally World, which was just :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: . Got Jim some jeans (Wrangler) for $8.00 and a couple of mock turtle necks ($7). I also got Jimmy some feety pajama's for ($6). He loved feety pajamas!

From there I went to Target. At this point it was 7:03am (according to the cell phone) and I got a text from T wishing me a Happy Black Friday. She was waiting for Wally World to open in Califronia! Got what I wanted/needed (except for one thing) there and was checked out and in the car by 7:30 heading to work.

Reading that makes me tired. ;)

Ole Miss plays MS State this afternoon so Mitch is going to try to leave work early. Remember, go Rebs! :cheer2: And if GA Tech beats GA, ha, Ole Miss will go to the Outback Bowl in Tampa. We went last year when TN played there and had a great time.

So how are you all fixing your leftovers? I'm making turkey tetrazzini. And hopefully tomorrow Mitch will make potato pancakes. He makes them much better than I.

Ok here are some pics from the Madonna concert. Now they were taken from my phone so they're not the best:

This was her sound check (she's the blob in the middle--highest point)

How does it go one out one in???? My Step Sister gave birth 2 hours ago to a little boy Oscar, both doing well :goodvibes

Funny how things work, huh? Congratulations! :goodvibes

I was watching Fran Drescher talking about cancer and how, if it's found in stage one, there's like a 95% survival rate. If it's found in stage 4, there's only a 20% chance. She went to eight doctors before she found out what was wrong with her, uterine cancer. She said if she hadn't persevered, she'd be dead. So her point was, we take better care of our cars than we do ourselves and that's not right. No one will worry about your body if you don't worry about yourself. And that's your PSA for the day because I love you all. :hug:

Very polite young lady you have there Katt:goodvibes

I Try.. She wants so Bad to find her "place" on the Dis... I talk about all of you so much... I guess that's why she is trying to "Chat" along. She feels like she knows all her "Aunts" here on the TFW:rotfl2:

::yes:: Sarabeth...

oWow! That's really nice! Those rooms are standard sized rooms in Miami :sad2: . Love the hardwood floors and the updated kitchen. Is that a 2-sided fireplace in the dining room and living room? I'd try to negotiate the price and get comparables of other houses in the area to see what they've sold for.
(yes I watch to much HGTV):rolleyes1

Yeah I do too. This would be our 5th home PURCHASE. I also worked in the Mortgage Industry for a little while in the '90's.

I know what to look for and I have ALWAYS HAGGLED. Maybe it's my "Jewish Blood" :rotfl2: Scott gets mad at me sometimes for the haggling.. but I USUALLY get a lower price of the things I am buying if I do.:thumbsup2

I always find out how long the owners have been in the house, and WHAT they paid for too.

BTW thanks Katt for making me cry :rotfl:
Not my intent.. especially with what was taking place.:hug:

Scott just got home doing the :scared1: Shopping. He came home with Most of what he went after. Best Buy and Target... ( which are next door to each other)... were Too Busy. I married a man who LOVES TO SHOP... and owns more shoes than me... isn't that supposed to be the other way around??:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME ???:scared:

Just had a call my Grandad died early this morning, what is very spooky is that it is 15 years today that he collapsed with the anerysms!!!!!

Oh darlin...I'm so sorry honey.

Morning :goodvibes

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and those of you CRAZY enough to go shopping this morning are doing okay. I did it once...and that was enough for a lifetime.

Glad it was an easy fix!

Sorry about your Grandpa JO. That is a tough one... you have something scheduled ( vacation) and BAM... that happened to me in July on our "Do Over" Vacation. My closest friends lost their Dad/Fil.. and I was leaving the next day for Disney. I was so torn. You can't be in both places at the same time. And you feel bad for leaving and having fun.:hug: :hug:

I'm with you Mel... none of this early shopping for me.

For those of you that read my VERY LONG POST...
Yes it mentioned GOD... I was not meaning to send a "religious" message.. not trying to "convert" anyone. It's the whole story... that our rough times do make us stronger, no matter how painful it is. But we have to learn from our Pain. Yes I am a GOD Believer. I do believe in his love and power, and in his protection. He allows "Stuff" in our lives, just as we "allow" our own kids to get in "some" trouble.. be we also protect and shelter them as much as we can.

Mel.. you come to mind as a SUPER SUPER strong lady... BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN THROUGH. While I do not have "Hero's" ,
You would be in that classification to me. While you may feel weak.. you are really STRONG!! :hug:

G-Luv.. You are also tops on my list. Single Mom.. and a Mom with a kid with So many struggles.. that I cry almost on a daily basis. I KNOW for a Fact... I would go Bonkers. Joshua has issues.... but he is Healthy.
When our kids are sick and struggle... that's when us Mommas go Puma.

Rosie... who looks after those who can not look after them selves

Rachael ...who has 2 kids with Autism, and in the middle of a Move.

Jen....who is frustrated with her Dad's actions after the loss of her Mom.

TE.. who is watching her parents have health issues.

Janet and V... Kiddo's who both had to switch schools and adding stress to their Momma's Lives for one reason or another.

There are others.. but these are the ones that come to mind quickly.

This bunch of ladies... ( and gentlemen) are the Roses in my Life.

:hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug:

*sniff* Thanks Katt. It's been a tough road lately...and I needed that. :sad1:

Oh Jo. How exciting! Things often work in mysterious ways. :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning! No work for me today! But, I'm babysitting my two nieces Maddy and Isa.
No BF shopping for me. There wasn't anything "worth it" this year for me.
I'll be around off and on all day.
I need all of my lovely Fockers to have a wonderful, happy, healthy day!
Love you guys!
My knocker just fell off, door knocker that is :rotfl2: The door is only a few months old but the screw inside has completely sheared off :confused: They're going to sort it out though :thumbsup2
Glad it was the door!:thumbsup2
Thanks, I take pride in my Black Friday strategy. IT's even better than a WDW strategy:thumbsup2
So how are you all fixing your leftovers? I'm making turkey tetrazzini. And hopefully tomorrow Mitch will make potato pancakes. He makes them much better than I.
Sandwiches today and probably tomorrow. The rest I sent home with Jim's mome. She will make turkey croquets, which none of us like:scared:
I Try.. She wants so Bad to find her "place" on the Dis... I talk about all of you so much... I guess that's why she is trying to "Chat" along. She feels like she knows all her "Aunts" here on the TFW:rotfl2:
Well, I think we are going to spend a few days in DC after Christmas---the girls love to go to the Smithsonians, and BA loves to look at "her house" (AKA the White House where she plans to live one day!)
Looking at trying to get tickets at the Kennedy Center for Legally Blonde--anyone seen it?? We love the movie.
:rotfl2:
I'm so sorry Jo. :hug: :hug: Feel free to tell us about him when you want to.
That's the terrible bit TE, because he's been "not Grandad" since he had the blood clots I struggle to remember what he was like before it happened 15 years ago :sad2:
While someone, who-lives-in-this-house-and-shall-not-be-named is out golfing this morning...:mad:
Who would that be :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: Good luck with the sale!
I went all the way down to school in the rain and Ellie has been asked to go to tea with a friend so I might have well stayed at home in the warm and dry :sad2: :rotfl2:
Thanks Katt! I don't always FEEL strong but I amaze myself sometimes. I appreciate the compliment.
Jodi: Sorry you didn't get to sleep! Now you have more time for Football though!!! LOL...
Rosie: Glad your turkey day was good!
JO: When you said your knockers fell off I was really worried! :rotfl:
Janet: Dude, the dedication! You went to WORK after all that!? OMG. You're my hero. I'm still in my pjs and just had bfast! Oh, WHERE are those pics!!???? (living room?? ring a bell? LOL)
Angela: I can't imagine Bob being gone that long! It would KILL me. :scared1:
Z: WOW! You and Yani rocked the Madonna concert. Loved the blob photos!
LL: Yeah, I do miss him alot! It's really hard to be away from him. He's my best friend, as most of you LIKELY noticed in WDW....:rolleyes1
Kate: Glad the ceiling wasn't too bad! And BTW, you are gorgeous. Madonna looks like a dude. ;)
*****************
Sorry to anyone I forgot. Bfast was delish. Got the kitchen all cleaned up, beds stripped. Gotta print out my mom's boarding passes. The boys are having a friend over tonight. I'm having Sheila from across the street over. We are going to watch Spanglish with the MIL and have Margaritas! YAY!
I haven't bought a SINGLE thing for Xmas. I know, that's sad but with all that's been going on I haven't really been in the MOOD. IYKWIM? Hopefully, I will get out and do some shopping soon. I don't have many to buy for so it's no biggie.
I got totally wrapped up in the Thorn Birds last night. What a great movie. I'm on part 3 of 5, so haven't gotten to the "good part" yet! popcorn::
And I'm saving the last episode of True Blood till the Gmas are gone. They would freak out if they saw all the trampolining and blood! :eek:
Have a good morning Fockers!
MEL:hug:
